Business 365 Intro. for Adam A. Abdullah-Taste

Adam Aqil Abdullah Taist shares his personal journey of creating his own name and his experiences as an entrepreneur. He emphasizes the importance of passion, drive, and determination in developing our creativity. Creativity is a part of all human beings and can be nurtured from a young age through activities like sports and music. Being creative is crucial not only for starting a business but also for future job opportunities. Adam believes his early development of creative skills has contributed to his success. However, he acknowledges a fear of thinking outside the box, which may have affected his score on the gravity test. He hopes to gain a better understanding of entrepreneurship through this class. My name is Adam Aqil Abdullah Taist. This wasn't my birth name, this was a name that I created for myself, for my life experiences. Adam means dark, Aqil means intelligent, Abdullah means slave, of, and Taist is my father's last name. I am an entrepreneur. I've been married for 24 years and have four children. I served our country for 18 years in the United States Navy. I first enrolled at the University of Arizona Global Campus in 2015 when it was formally known as Ashford University. My passion, drive, and determination is why I am still here today. These characteristics are within all of us. This is what we must learn to develop. These characteristics are within all of us. We must learn to develop and bring forth these characteristics in order to fully understand our creativity and to realize how important it is in our daily lives. We as humans have the ability to create or be creative. According to our readings, our articles, and our required readings for this week, the required readings does confirm that creativity is actually a part of us. It's something that we all have, these characteristics that we possess along with our determination and passion is huge. When you're trying to complete something, you have your mindset, you have to have the passion and drive. You must have the I can attitude in order to bring out your true creativity. Creativity starts developing at an early age. It's something that's actually in us but it can be actually developed throughout time. As a young kid, I participated in sports and music in the band, orchestra, and the jazz lab. Also, throughout my childhood, I participated in sports. These are great characteristic building things that actually build your character and was a great part of my character building and definitely helped build my creativity. Being creative is essential throughout our life, not only when we're starting a business, but throughout our daily lives. According to our required readings for this week, creativity is crucial and it's going to be mainly what's being accepted in the future as far as future jobs and what the employers are looking for. They're looking for a person who has the ability to be creative more so than the individual who possesses certain talents. According to my results of the grit test, I scored 80% higher than most people. I think that is a result of my creative skills being developed at an early age. Like I mentioned, the participating in extracurricular activities helped build character and it's definitely been a major factor in my success. On the gravity test, I scored 55.64. This is below the typical score of 62.75. I believe the reason for my below average score is due to my lack in the ability to think outside the box because of the fear of being wrong or the fear of being wrong. Out of this class, I expect to get to achieve a higher level and a better understanding of what it takes to be an entrepreneur and what the requirements are or some of the characteristics that we actually need to be a successful entrepreneur.
