In this podcast episode, Anna discusses the importance of attitude in our daily lives. She emphasizes that attitude can make or break our day, affect how we treat others, and how we react in situations. Anna encourages listeners to reflect on their own attitudes and strive to have a positive one. She cites the Bible, specifically the insights shared by Paul and the Philippians, to support her points. Paul advises that our attitude should mirror that of Jesus Christ, highlighting humility and selflessness in relationships. Anna reminds listeners that while they may not be perfect, they should strive to embody Christ's virtues and reflect His perfect attitude in every circumstance. She also emphasizes the importance of seeking God's guidance, staying focused on pleasing Him rather than pursuing personal agendas, and exhibiting patience, hope, and humility. Anna concludes by urging listeners to choose a good attitude that aligns with God's blessings and to be grateful for each day they wa Hey there brothers and sisters, it's Anna with God's Podcast, and in today's episode we're going to talk about attitude, yes attitude, because we all have an attitude either good or bad, but first let us pray brothers and sisters, in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, Father I come before you through your Son Jesus Christ and I lift up each and every person listening, Father I continue to always ask to open their ears, open their heart and open their minds so that they can get your words of understanding, they can get your wisdom, they can get your knowledge Father, and I'm only used as your vessel to spread your words, Father we thank you, we praise you, we glorify your kingdom because we are a part of this kingdom and we love you and we praise you for all that you do for us each and every day, we come in union together and we pray all of this in Jesus name, Amen. Okay brothers and sisters, like I said, we're going to talk about attitude, yes attitude, attitude makes or breaks your day, it makes or breaks how you feel throughout your day, it makes or breaks how you treat others, how you react in situations, and yes I have questions for you in this episode, of course I do, I always do, you know that, so my first question to you is, and I want you to be honest with yourself, is your attitude shining like a diamond or is it more like a lump of coal? You can think about it for a second, but truly be honest with yourself, yes we know that our attitude can change daily, but brothers and sisters, attitude is how you think and how you feel about people and certain things, basically it is the mood of your behavior, and according to the Bible, attitude mirrors your mental and emotional state, it wraps up your beliefs and your opinions, so let's cut to the chase, does your attitude rock or does it smell like an old gym sock? Attitude is the vibrant delicious sauce to our lives, picture this brothers and sisters, I'm going to give you an example, you're gearing up for a fantastic day, only to discover you are out of creamer for your beloved coffee, you hop in the car, your black coffee in hand, but oops, down it goes, and suddenly you're fuming and you're stomping into work like a thunderstorm, grumbling your way through the day, everything feels like a disaster, you feel like the universe is just against you, now flip the script, you wake up, no creamer again, but you are so grateful for the java and ready to tackle the day with a sprinkle of positivity, you spill your coffee, but you think, no biggie, just a sign you weren't meant to embrace the day with caffeine, you stroll into work with a grin on your face, smiling ear to ear, spreading good vibes and asking everyone how they are, boom, you crush your test and you feel like a superstar, you had a fantastic day, and you feel great and blessed, my point brothers and sisters is to remember this, attitude is everything, don't let a stinky one drag you down, rise and shine with the positive energy, every single day, God presents us with this choice each and every day, we can either embrace joy daily, or we can succumb to pitiful misery, making our days horrible, in today's episode we are going to explore the topic of attitude, focusing specifically on the insights shared by Paul and the Philippians, but let me begin by saying, at this time, Paul is in a prison cell in Rome, and when he was sharing this profound insight with the followers of Christ and how they should display their attitude, he said, whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ, which is in Philippians 1 verse 27, this phrase whatever happens, hints at Paul explaining the uncertainty surrounding his visit to the Philippians, Paul offered his guidance so that whether he came or he didn't come, or only hearing about them in his absence, that he will know that they stand firm in the spirit, striving together as one for the faith of the gospel, in other words, Paul is explaining to us that in the midst of unexpected trials, frustrations, or disruptions, we are called to respond with a heart that reflects Christ, brothers and sisters, we must stay steadfast and pursue our faith, Paul further encourages us, saying, your attitude should be the same as that of Jesus Christ, which is in Philippians 2 verse 5, highlighting the significance of humility and selflessness in our relationships, he also invites us in Ephesians 5 verse 1 to be imitators of Christ as dearly beloved children, just as children are joyful, they mirror that what they see and repeat what they hear, we too are entrusted with the sacred responsibility of embodying Christ's virtues, becoming brilliant reflections of the Lord, Jesus amplified a perfect attitude in every circumstance, brothers and sisters, and that is what Paul is telling us to do, to be more like Jesus, listen, we will never be perfect, we are human, we have flaws, we were born with flaws, but Paul is telling us to be more like Jesus, to amplify our perfect attitude in every situation, in every circumstance, just like Jesus, he is telling us that we are entrusted with the sacred responsibility of embodying Christ's virtues, becoming brilliant reflections of the Lord, listen brothers and sisters, Jesus amplified a perfect attitude in every situation, yes, in every circumstance, he was perfect, Jesus prayed about all matters and harbored no worries, similarly, we should seek God's guidance in every aspect of our lives, allowing him to fulfill his perfect will, Jesus never allowed himself to become defensive or discouraged, instead, his focus was on pleasing the Father rather than pursuing his own agenda, we too need to be more like this, during Jesus's trials, he exhibited patience and suffering, he remained hopeful and amidst blessings, he stayed humble, even when faced with ridicule, abuse and hostility, he made no threats and did not retaliate, instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly, listen, I am passionate about this because Jesus is perfect and Jesus died for our sins, Jesus sacrificed his life for us, he didn't have to, he didn't have to go through it because our God gives us choices, but he chose to, he chose to obey God, so I am passionate about this and I'm sorry if I'm screaming, but I am so in love with Jesus, I am so grateful for the opportunity to share his word with you brothers and sisters because attitude changes everything in your life and I am guilty of it too, I let my attitude and emotions succumb me, I let my attitude reflect in my actions at times and I need to work on this too, so this is a reminder to me too, brothers and sisters, that attitude changes everything in your life, so when Paul advises that our attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus, he encapulates the essence of this attitude in proceeding two verses, selflessness, humility, and service, Paul states, do nothing out of self-ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves, each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others, which is stated in Philippians 2 verses 3 and 4, in essence, a Christian's attitude should center on the needs and interests of others, undoubtedly this is not something that comes easy to us, of course it doesn't, we're human, right? Imperfect and need God each and every day, and this is why I'm reminding you of this, this is why I chose to speak on the topic attitude, because attitude changes everything in our lives, so I ask you brothers and sisters, and God asks you, what are you going to choose today? Are you going to have a good attitude that is full of sunshine and brightness, or are you going to have a stinky, terrible attitude that is going to lead your life down a hole of misery? Listen, I want to choose a great attitude, because with a great attitude, you have a great life, and you look at things with the eyesight of all things are great, instead of looking at everything so negatively. Having a great attitude allows you to align your life with God, looking at all of His blessings, seeing everything that He has done for you, everything that He has given you, everything that He has made for you, for us, for this world. Our God is a magnificent God who created everything around us, and we should be grateful with attitudes that are so overjoyed, so happy, because we are blessed each and every day, because God loves us. Unconditionally, our attitude should reflect that, and we should be reminded of this each and every day, because we wake up each and every day when God does not have to allow us to. So be grateful, be thankful. So like I was explaining to you, when Jesus entered the world, He introduced a transformative perspective on human relationships. On one occasion, when His disciples were debating who would be the greatest in His kingdom, Jesus simply responded by saying, You are aware that the rulers of the Gentiles dominate them, and their high officials wield authority over them. However, this should not be the case among you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be your slave, just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve and to give His life as ransom for many. Jesus teaches us that when we become overly focused on our own matters, it can lead to conflicts and issues with those around us, brothers and sisters. Instead, God encourages us to foster a mindset of genuine compassion, engagement with the needs of others. And Paul elaborates on this Christ-like attitude in this letter to the Ephesians. You are taught regarding your former way of life to discard your old self, which is being corrupted by the deceitful desires to be renewed in the spirit of your mind and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness. Many of today's religions, including New Age philosophies, perpetrate the old deception that we are divine or can become gods. However, the reality is that we will never achieve the status of God or even that of God. The oldest lie from Satan promised Adam and Eve that if they followed his counsel, you shall be as gods. Every time we try to attempt to control our situations, our future, and the people in our lives, we are merely highlighting our desire to assume a god-like role. However, we must recognize, as beings created by God, we can never be the creator. God does not wish for us to be divinity. He desires for us to emulate him by adopting his values, attitudes, and character. We are called to be made new in the attitude of your minds and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness. Ultimately, we must remember that God's primary aim for his children is not our comfort, but rather the transformation of our minds towards a godly mindset. He desires for us to grow spiritually and to become more like Christ. This does not imply that we should lose our individuality or turn into mindless replicas. Instead, Christ-likeness revolves around the renewal of our minds. As Paul reminds us, do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is, his good, pleasing, and perfect will. It is God's intention for us to cultivate the mindset outlined in the Beatitudes of Jesus to demonstrate the fruit of the Spirit, to reflect the principles found in Paul's renowned chapter on love, and to aim our lives after the traits of an effective and fruitful life as described by Peter. Let us embrace the life intended for us by God's will and purpose, stepping into it with an attitude inspired by Jesus. I hope you found this episode enjoyable and will share it with someone else, as we all need God's presence in our lives every day. We may not know the struggles of others' faiths, but if you have the ability to be the light in someone's life, let your light shine, friends, brothers and sisters. Thank you. Thank you for coming each and every week. So until next episode, keep bibling, keep spreading God's word, and let your attitude reflect Christ. Let us pray. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Father, I come before you through your Son, Jesus Christ, and I lift up every single person listening. Father, we thank you. We are grateful that we are able to come each and every week and listen to your word, listen to your verses. Father, we glorify you. We praise you. In Jesus' mighty name, amen.
