Good morning, my name is Anusa Neopane, and my banner ID is B01482264, and today's date is 12th of February, 2024. The health promotion activity I choose in elderly is exercise. According to NHS 2021 Physical Activity Guidelines, older adults should do some types of physical activity every day. It can help and reduce the risk of heart disease and stroke. According to Family Organization 2010, benefits of exercise in senior includes improvement of strength, improvement in balance, prevent falls and gives more energy, and improve mood and fight with depression, and improvement in cognitive functions. Other benefits of exercise in older adults by BUPA 2020 includes doing regular exercise can reduce the risk of getting high blood pressure, heart disease and stroke, type 2 osteoborosis, osteoarthritis, and some type of cancers like breast cancer. The National Institute again 2020 has said that amount of time older adults need to increase in activity should be at least 150 minutes. It means 2.5 hours of the moderate intensity of aerobic exercise like this walking, fast dancing. This can make the muscles straining activities like lift weighting or sit up at least 2 days a week. The Physical Activity Guidelines according to Americans recommend that part of weekly physical exercise we should combine multiple components of exercise like balance training and muscle strengthening activities. Now moving into planning, we assign to a group and given choices about the topic they do what they wanna do. According to AS80 2021, it shows that group of 3-4 each task of certain duration gives better learning outcomes than larger group or larger task. So, we were assigned in a group number 4. It is also indicate that group work also an important part of both cognitive and social learning. Learning is a social phenomenon that takes place in a physical and social environment. So, flexibility so that all group numbers can effectively interact. For example, a range set such as certain all can work in a same and similar ways of presentation. Tasks assigned or projects were designed from interactions among group members. For example, a project may have this physical segment so that the group member can contribute the workload than combine the work together may divided into several steps like planning, outlining, researching, and writing. We get the formations feedback from the teachers both learning content after each step. Bupa 2013, while working in a group, a work as a team leader in the article written by Mohammed in 2022, leadership is the potential by the behavior of others. It is also designed by the capacity to influence groups realizing the goal. Leaders are required to develop future vision to motivate the other members to achieve the vision. Me as a team leader has various functions such as a work as attributor, coordinator, facilitator, motivator, organizer, and decision maker. While in group presentation, I used democratic leadership style research such as found that democratic leadership effective and created higher productive activity, better contributions for group member, and increased learning. Democratic leadership gives better ideas and more creative solutions to problems and workers are encouraged to share their ideas and views. According to Mohammed in 2022, these factors help in successful presentation is communication. Communication in a group is important because there is an increased risk of conflict tensions and misunderstanding in the workplace without it. We were able to work following effectively due to the communication tips. Those are like encouraging opening openness and transparency as it facilitates honest and trust building and all their opinions encourage the employees to express their opinion, ideas, and listen to one another and being cooperative to each other. When the role is clearly defined like they understand precisely what is expected of them, the duties need to do become success. Allowing to be feedback, practicing priorities, and changing that load the routine and lead by example. By the effective communication, success in a group work and for better presentation. Now, moving to the implementation for both older and elder adults in care home setting having regular exercise, it is important and can have many health benefits. Tell them to participate in exercise programs can develop with the whole range of needs which have severe disability and conditions such as dementia. The exercise was performed in formal setting in care home. All residents will follow the precautions while exercising by facilitator. By 2018, the stated 2018 precautions we can exercise safely during our younger age. Exercise has been risky so that elderly should take physical approval before initiating the exercise routine. Especially if you were previously sedentary and have previous chronic disease with the appropriate footwear and dressing. They were told to inform that they have pressure in chest, chest in pain, and infection so that we can stop the exercise immediately. ESUP 2020 has given the simple and easy exercise for elder adults. Being inactive and working up to at least a day, our teaching and exercise is doing exercise regularly, standing once an hour after a prolonged sitting, one of my friend doing demonstrations without help. They were told to work without sitting in a chair and with the standing position without someone help. The little demonstration by this exercise is you are sitting in the chair and that putting your toes in a chair will tighten your thigh muscles. Extend your knee and hold for five seconds and then become relaxed while sitting or lying. Bring the toes towards the chin and then towards the floor and then to the feet and the last one is walking. They were told to walk from one room to another and do that exercise three to four times a day. And now exercise and health promotion. According to NHS 2022, health promotion is a process of enabling the people to extend control over that determines the health, thereby and improve the health. According to Toronto Metropolitan University, I have decided to approach the lifestyles and behaviour of individuals. For example, behaviour and health promotion strategy including healthy eating habits, inhabit smoking sessions and alcohol consumption and do exercise program. Over the last few decades, it has been shown that engaging in different sports and exercise activities and keeping active lifestyle will help to prevent the disease and maintain healthy lifestyle. In that target group, according to Brad 2021, according to Rule 2020-2004, physical activities is also acknowledged to be significant and preventable big factor for obesity, type 2 diabetes and osteoporosis. The most established to improve public health, therefore to improve and promote exercise and to recommend regular physical activities. The article written by Damien and Rutherford Long 2021, it keeps the field on utilizing demonstration on a teaching strategy and how to conduct the demonstration for learning purpose. Demonstrations exist on teaching multiple steps and engage and encouraging guidance and participation. Finally, demonstrations are the way to engage people in a conductive way rather than focusing on auditory or visual teaching strategy. Conducting on demonstration, it is important to explain each step carefully and explain multiple times if applicable. Have learner perform the task demonstration after demonstrating the step of exercise completed here. It was now time for evaluation. The evaluation used was questionnaire. We used questionnaire at the end of presentation to get feedback from the residents. It is the general use of administrator in which the person goes through the questionnaire and responds as per the instructions. It is simple, concise and clearly stated according to Nursing Part 2020 on the next evaluation by the peer review in the team-based learning. The benefit of peer review is that peer evaluation depends on both quality of student performance as observed by the peers and qualities of one's feedback. Hence, professional skills on both giving and receiving peer feedback giving and receiving peer feedback has capacities that provide effective learning experience for students and creating learners who analyze their own performance. Student perceptions of quality feedback by peers have been reported in several studies and more valuable and relevant feedback. Feedback provided by faculty. As stated by BMC Nates EDU 2021, at last, we used evaluation tool for self-assessment and how self-assessment on progress in learning. It helps people to reflect and self-correct. It enables immediate feedback that people can start improving in a straight way. Self-assessment itself provides another learning opportunity so it can help to keep track of progress. Now, moving into the professional segment, the article written by Nursing Rehabilitation on December 31, 2021, NMC continues professional development. According to NMC, you must keep your performance profession self-up-to-date. Continued process of learning and reflections in this, I was able to do reflective assessment. According to CD 6023, it has used the strategy to increase physical activities are like bring the community design and assist the place for continuing physical activities and more school programs regarding to exercise and then community-wide campaigns like performing campaigns like physical activities and support individuals and social support and then promote to increase physical activities. Provide accessible and exclusive access in informal development, teamwork. I have learnt leadership, teamwork, resource skills, communication and information gathering skills, problem solving and creativity, which is demand for new kind to generate attributes in the workplace. I want to contribute these skills in future as educator, promoter and teacher. motivator and so on. Thank you.
