Today on Session of 5, Eileen, Allison, and Mikayla discuss footwear, hair styling, and nails. They agree that white is a versatile nail color that matches most outfits. They also discuss the challenges of long nails, such as difficulty in performing everyday tasks and the risk of injury. They emphasize the importance of keeping nails clean and recommend using nail polish remover to remove old paint. They also suggest using a top coat for a clear and polished look. The episode ends with a thank you to the guests and a promise to discuss the next topic in the next episode. Hello and welcome back to Session of 5. Today our special guest is Eileen Allison and Mikayla. Hi, my name is Allison. I'm in 8th grade at Elkwood Summit and I do cheer. Hi, my name is Mikayla. I'm in 8th grade at Elkwood Summit and I do basketball. Hi, my name is Eileen. I'm in 8th grade at Elkwood Summit and I do cheer. We are so happy to have you guys here with us. So today we're going to talk about footwear, styling our hair, and nails of course. What type of paint color do you like the most at Elkwood? I don't really know to be honest. I don't really paint my nails. Yeah, but I feel like the best color that would match most outfits would be like some type of white. Oh yeah, white is a really pretty color for like any type of nail style. Other people who like white, pink, purple, blue, those are all pretty colors, but if we were to only pick one, it would be white. White, to be honest, white goes with everything. Even if you think it doesn't, it actually does. Yeah, but something I don't really like is when people have like different types of nails, like different colors. It just looks weird because their outfit is like plain and their nails are all over the place. I find it interesting but also at the same time confused because I've seen this one person at the mall and it was like each nail was a different character and I was kind of weirded out. Not like weirded out, like ew, it's disgusting. I was kind of confused. Because their outfit, it was like a floral and then it was just like regular characters from anime. Especially with the people with the really long nails. They have really long nails and I don't know how they can do that. I actually like long nails, but not like really, really, really long, like triple HL. I like normally like medium size, like this to here. When people have long nails, it's kind of confusing because how do they move things around? Like picking up a paper or taking out their card? I think pick up a card off the floor. Yeah. I like just when they're doing basic chores around the house, I find it like kind of confusing how they do it. I find it very easy to break your nails at home. Yeah, and especially when you don't have like a nail tech near you, it can often be hard to find someone who can fix them. Long nails are really, really pretty, but like when you get hurt or something, you can start bleeding. Yeah. I don't like that hurt. And then also, if you like, like what Allison said, if you break your nail, it's hard to remove both the acrylic and the real nail. It like hurts. And you can get dirt underneath your nails and some people do not wash them. I remember I had these long nails one time in seventh grade and I broke one of them. I broke, I chipped it. I tried to take it off and it ripped my entire nail off. I feel like something that most people don't do, even if it's like boys, is clean their nails sometimes. Because sometimes you can see them have dirt under their nails. And it's just like this happens to me. Yeah, that's disgusting. That's disgusting. How do you get really good dirt under your nails? Because you don't want to know what to say to dirt or like something like paint on your nails. I have a question. How do you currently clean your nails? I feel like if you have paint, like old paint on your nails, You should bottle them down. Yeah, bottle them down and clean them. To get the paint off. I know it hurts. What happens if a nail gets stuck on your finger? You could, like for me, I always like foam them down and I prep my nails. I cut them, trim them beautiful and everything before I put on like a fresh coat of nail polish. Yeah, and I feel like you should at least do two layers of paint to perfectly blend in with your nails. You should also put the clear paint on your nails. The top coat? Yeah, the top coat. Like for it to dry and for it to like look clear, you know? It looks nice. To me personally, I like getting like the rapid dry, like a top coat. Because it dries real quick. I wouldn't say it dries instantly, it dries... How do you fix them? Like fix the painting? Yeah, fix the painting with your brush nail. Do you mess up like on a design or something like that? I just refile them and then I redo it. Sometimes I'm impatient so I do it the next day. But... That's enough about nails. We'll talk about the next topic in the next episode. It was so great to have you guys here. Thank you for coming. Thank you for letting us be here. It was so nice to be here. I hope everyone liked what we were talking about. Thank you guys and we'll see you in the next episode.
