Today, we're installing KeyLink's rod rail infill using American Series railing. Start by opening the box section and removing the top rail. Use the baluster mount locating tool to place the mounts on the rail correctly. Make sure to use the appropriate end for stair or level sections. Attach the baluster mounts to the top and bottom rail, ensuring they are in line with each other. Measure and mark the placement of the intermediate baluster mount and attach them to both rails. Slide spring clips over the mounts on the bottom rail. Cut the rods to the determined length. Remove vinyl inserts from one baluster and push them onto the baluster mounts. Mount the end baluster and intermediate baluster onto the bottom rail. Slide the rods through the balusters. Attach the remaining end baluster and secure the top rail using a rubber mallet if needed. Slide the mounting brackets over the rails and mount the section to the posts. Your section is now complete. Enjoy the modern look of T Today, we're installing KeyLink's rod rail infill. To begin, open your box section and remove the top rail. To begin, open your box section and remove the top and bottom rails, rods, and brackets. Take the internal baluster mount locating tool and place it on the top rail, matching the appropriate end of the tool, level or stair, with the end of the rail. The locating tool cuts down on the measuring time required to place your baluster mounts and keeps the mounts from spinning when you're driving. The locating tool cuts down on the measuring time required to place your baluster mounts and keeps the mounts from spinning when driving the screws down. Stair and level sections require specific ends of the locating tool, so make sure you have the correct end on the edge of your rail or balusters. Stair and level sections require specific ends of the locating tool, so make sure you have the correct end on the edge of your rail or your balusters may be placed in the wrong location. Place your first baluster mount into the space in your locating tool and fasten using the provided number 10 pan head screw. Next, move to the bottom rail and do the same, making sure that the baluster mounts are in line with each other. Place the locating tool on the other end of the top rail and fasten the baluster mount. Do the same on the bottom rail. Next, measure to the center of the rail and mark the placement of your intermediate baluster mount. Mark the other rail in the same location. Attach the intermediate baluster mounts. Place the spring clips over the top of the mounts on the bottom rail only. If you cut the rails, the rods may need to be cut down as well. Once you've installed your baluster mounts on the rails, measure the distance from the base of the first internal baluster mount to the base of the last and subtract 1 16th inch to determine the rod length. Cut rods to length. Remove the vinyl inserts from the storage location inside one of the balusters. Make sure to note the difference between the intermediate baluster which has through holes and the end balusters which have holes on one side. The balusters do not have a specific top or bottom, but always ensure that the end baluster holes are facing inward to receive the rods. Check to make sure you are using the correct balusters before pushing them down onto the baluster mounts. Once you place the baluster, it should not be removed. Slide the vinyl inserts into your balusters with the curve facing in toward the center of the baluster. Now you're ready to mount one end baluster to the intermediate baluster or balusters on the bottom rail. Now you are ready to mount one end baluster and the intermediate baluster or balusters onto the bottom rail. Using the top rail as a guide, begin to slide the rods through the intermediate baluster and push securely into the end baluster. Remove the top rail and snap the remaining end baluster onto the mount. Then push the final end baluster onto the rods. Place the spring clips on your top rail mounts. Stand the section up and attach the top rail firmly using a rubber mallet to secure it if needed. Stand the section up and attach the top rail firmly using a rubber mallet to secure it if needed. Next, slide the top and bottom mounting brackets over the rails and rest the section between the posts on two and a half inch blocks. Mount the section to the posts and the bracket to the top rail using the provided fasteners. Now your section is complete. Enjoy the security and modern sophisticated look of T-Link Rod Rail.
