good morning everybody and welcome to today's prayer meeting um as we started with a song that reminds us that staying with him is a good thing we need not neglect our prayer closet we must not leave it we must not leave that that booth and this repair we must be always there so that we can be able to benefit we thank god for giving us yet another morning to start by listening to his word to start with other brethren across the nation in one accord praying and asking god to guide us throughout the day we believe that as we continue indeed the holy spirit will be guiding us in all the decisions that we need to make in our day everything that needs us to engage in we will do it with the guidance of the holy spirit and if we need to confront anything we do it in the name of jesus and we know as we have learned yesterday that when we do that when we do things in the name of jesus even the demons are subject to us we thank god for yet another day as we're going to listen to the word of god from one of the daughters of the house pastor kate sape she is going to be sharing the word of god with us today and guiding us through this morning's prayer may god bless you as you share the word and as we listen may god's spirit guide us thank you over to you pastor kate amen thank you ma let me first greet apostle and ma and greetings to everyone on the platform in the mighty name of our lord and savior jesus christ thank you so much apostle and ma for sending me to share the word of god with us this morning we thank god for waking us up and as we prepare to face the world today let us be strong and courageous believing that no man shall stand against us let us not allow the word of god to depart from our mouth no matter the size of goliath waiting for us out there sometimes it might seem like our labor is in vain but the word of god in isaiah guarantees us that they shall not labor in vain obey children for calamity for they shall be offspring of the blessed of the lord and their descendants with them my message this morning is very very short to my size and is taken from the book of genesis chapter one and we will read from one right up to the last verse of creation due to time constraints and for the fact that we all know the story i will go straight to my point the bible tells us in the book of genesis that in the beginning god created the heavens and the earth then it continues to say the earth was without form and darkness was over the face of the deep the word s batalwani is translated nation in other words the word in this passage represents people because the nation is formed by people and it continues to say and god said let there be light and he saw that light was good someone may ask why didn't god start by doing whatever he wanted to do instead of starting by let the light let there be light it's because god like any of us depends on the light to do any kind of work just like the issue of load shedding in our country when it is dark we all stop waking james one says he is the father of the light so for god to fix the mess or the confusion that was causing the earth to be formless he needed the light even though darkness cannot be done to him according to psalm 139 yet for him to work there must be a light now when everything was visible he was able to see that things were not orderly positioned but for a mere effect that there was a light created things didn't just automatically sit in order until he started working on them each one by day until he finished on the sixth day and when he finished the work the bible says he saw that it was good what am i trying to say child of god yes we have accepted jesus as the lord and savior of our lives it was just like the day when god said let there be light and there was a light switched on in our formless life begged by a great celebration in heaven yet this did not mean that things would automatically be in order it doesn't matter that one have been saved for more than hundred decades it is taking god each one by day like he did in the book of genesis until he finishes the bible says it took him six days to complete the work and when we look at second peter chapter 3 verse 8 he says that with the lord one day is like a thousand years and a thousand years is like one day meaning that it is possible for god to take what seems to us a long time to put things in order in our lives and in the process we might sometimes taste the experience of jeremiah 18 verse 4 where the clay was made in the potter's hands this is what the opposer is always roaming around was roaming around as for he is waiting for that chance to try his luck to condemn us to a point of discouragement sometimes the enemy yes they lived from the righteous people but even though he might write on past the gate remember that the light has been switched on and god is taking it one day at a time when david has fallen short of the grace of god he did not try to run away from god instead he said in the book of psalm 51 verse 11 do not take your spirit or you do not take your holy spirit away from me because he understood that i am in partnership with god and there is a process going on and he god is continually striving to put the earth back to its original form in my life that is why even he said it is said in the bible of david he was a man after god's own heart as we are about to go out to the midst of the wolves as jesus said in the in the book of matthew chapter 10 let us be courageous knowing that the process of putting things together in our life is ongoing and most importantly let us work in partnership with him not hardening our heart when we hear his voice i thank you as i said that my message is going to be very very short thank you ma that is my message for today as we are going to pray i bring it back to you um thank you pastor kate um we thank god for the message that reminds us that god created us and he gave us light and the light of god which is which can be represented by the word of god as the bible says in the book of psalms that your word is a lamb on my feet so as we are starting the day today as we have been listening to the word throughout and we are starting this day with the word of god let us know that this way is going to be our light in the past meaning that everything that we are going to decide today everything that we are going to engage in today let it be guided by the word of god let it be guided by what the word of god would expect us to do um some american ones coined a statement just to remind christians in their daily living to say when you meet any situation you have to ask yourself what would jesus do so the word of god which is our lamb on our feet means that each time you encounter a situation in in each time come across something that is oppressing you something that is challenging you ask yourself what would jesus do that is the word of god according to the word of god so everything that we are hearing whether it's a sunday or any day coming from the word of god it is to equip us so that when we meet with challenges along the way we ask ourselves what would jesus do so we take that light which is the word of god to use it to show us where to tread so that we do not find ourselves swept by the enemy along the way and thank you pastor kate for reminding us about the light that god created and it never left it is still with us the apostles i mean the the prophet isaiah encourages us to say arise and shine for your light has come even when darkness has covered the the land even when darkness has covered everything around us let us arise and shine because when everything else fails god himself promises that he will be our light and his glory will be seen upon us let us go
