Hey, I got a chance for you to see some live music, live, small, exclusive, you know, the list goes on and on. But I want you to go check this out. It's kind of a local band. Well, it's a Northern California band. They've been around for a while. At KFOG, we used to play them a fair amount. They're kind of from the jam band scene, but kind of not. They just do their own thing. And they're really fun and they really rock out. They are the Mother Hips. Yes, the Mother Hips. And they've got a new album out and a new song and they're coming to play a sound space session just for us. And that means just for you. If you are invited, go check out the Mother Hips when they come on April 5th. It's coming right up. Hopefully you're enjoying some of the rock and tunes. I am broadcasting from the Big Rick Studios, now located in Las Vegas, Nevada. Wow, there's a lot going on down here. I mean, music, I guess other things as well. So I've heard. I recently saw Stevie Nicks. I'll tell you all about it. Now, Stevie Nicks just recently postponed shows in San Francisco and Sacramento because of a COVID thing in the band or the touring crew or somebody. So those will get rescheduled because she is, after all, a Bay Area gal growing up in Palo Alto and San Jose State and more. Stevie Nicks played a place in Las Vegas called the T-Mobile Arena where the hockey team plays. Actually sounded pretty good. It was great sight lines and more. And she did those famous Stevie Nicks songs, both her own solo music and also with Fleetwood Mac. She wore the Stevie Nicks clothes, but she didn't quite have the Stevie Nicks moves because she has a broken foot as well. So this will give her time to heal up and maybe show off some of those classic moves that everybody loves. And she has, yes, all the great clothes that everybody loves to see. And that is kind of a big part of the show. She paid tribute to her friend, Tom Petty. Speaking of her friend and fellow Fleetwood Mac band member, Christy McVie, who recently passed away, Stevie Nicks said, when you look at somebody that you love in your own family or just a friend, and you know you don't pay enough attention to them, remember that sometimes doesn't come again someday. She went on to say that you will always regret that. So make up the friendship bracelets and reach out to the people you love because it's really important. Good advice. Check her out when she comes back to play live. I'm Big Rick Stewart. Had a good time at Stevie Nicks. Thanks for checking out the Wine Country Saturday Soundtrack at 993thevine.com. It's the Wine Country Saturday Soundtrack. Fun music and great information here at 993thevine.com. Let's talk a little bit about some beer. Are you ready? The beer is back. If you are a fan of Pliny the Younger, Russian River Brewing's famous beer is back. And it's had its release day. This year it's happening March 24th through April 6th. And well, here's some tips on getting yourself some of this beer at, you know, the home brewery right there. They're over in Santa Rosa and Windsor. You can head over there. And if you want to get in line, get there early. This is from their webpage, russianriverbrewing.com. They say the line starts forming in the early hours, 5 to 6 a.m., particularly on the weekends. They say they're always busier on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Sometimes they see twice as many people as they would on a weekday. So, on their webpage, they say, pro tip, come Monday through Thursday to minimize your wait to get in. Evenings, especially in Windsor, tend to taper off. But be prepared to wait six hours or more on a very busy day. So, I mean, you know, people bring chairs and they kind of hang out and they chit-chat and they wait for their Pliny. You got to get yourself some. They're open 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. Get in line early. Each guest will be given a custom, uniquely colored and dated wristband. Upon entering, they have four pull tabs to be redeemed to purchase three 10-ounce pours and two bottles of Pliny the Younger. There is a limit of three draft Youngers per guest and, well, you know, there's some other rules and regs and tips and more. Get it all at RussianRiverBrewing.com. Let us know what you think of this year's batch of Pliny the Younger. I'm sure it's totally delicious and definitely worth the wait in line. I'm Big Rick Stewart. It's the Wine Country Saturday Soundtrack at 99.3TheVine.com. Hey, I'm Big Rick Stewart. It's the Wine Country Saturday Soundtrack. Fun music and great information. Got a couple of social media updates for you. Some pretty big numbers. First of all, a Korean K-pop group, some girls, they're really talented. They're really good. They're called Blackpink. They just clicked 85 million YouTube subscribers. 85 million. That's like a gigantic amount. I think it's the most popular group in the world right now. I think it's the most of any musical act. I think it's the most of any female musical act, and it's among the most of anybody. 85 million subscribers. It's not bad, right? And Selena Gomez would like to hug 400 million people, a little more than that. Why? Because she just got to 400 million Instagram subscribers. Selena Gomez is pretty talented, although she actually said bye-bye to Instagram for quite a while. She said in her 20s, it was kind of a big deal to her, and she felt like she had to always look incredibly beautiful and so they got too much pressure from that whole Instagram feedback thing, so she deleted the app. But then she returned, and now she has 400 million people that say, no, we love you, it's all good. And she's really good. She's a good singer, and she's in that Murder in the Building show, which was really good with Steve Martin and more. Very talented. 400 million followers. Not too bad. And hey, you can follow us on Instagram, 99.3 The Vine. Get all kinds of cool information and see what we're up to and maybe get the inside on some of the contests so you're the first to know. We don't quite have 400 million followers yet, but we're working on it. Thanks for hanging out with me today. I'm Big Rick Stewart. It's 99.3 The Vine.com, and as always, the Wine Country Saturday Soundtrack. It's the Wine Country Saturday Soundtrack. We are the home for your fun music and great information all day Saturday. Tell your friends, Big Rick lives. I saw this article and I thought, okay, I gotta share this. It's over at wikihow.com, wikihow.com. You can look it up, because it's a pretty long article. I'll just give you some highlights. How to Protect a Catalytic Converter, Eight Ways to Prevent Theft. And this is from Saul Jaeger, and Saul is a captain at the Mountain View, California Police Department. He's been in law enforcement for a very long time. All right, so here are some of the tips. Like I said, you can look this up at wikihow. Theft prevention tips to keep your catalytic converter. This one's kind of interesting. Spray paint your catalytic converter red, or another bright color. Why would you do this? Because, well, if somebody steals something, that means somebody's buying something. If they see a bright red catalytic converter, it's a little more difficult to sell, so when they roll under the car to steal it, they might be like, ah, no, pass on this one. So you can do this. Get high heat spray paint, because it's gonna get really hot, and it won't have any problems down underneath there. So paint your catalytic converter red with high heat paint. Okay. Engrave your VIN number on your catalytic converter, big enough so that someone could see it. Okay, that makes common sense, right? Increase your vehicle's alarm sensitivity. All right. Weld the catalytic converter to the frame. You can take it to a welding shop, and they can do that, and charge a few bucks. It's probably worth it, because it's so expensive to replace those. You can also get an anti-theft shield or a cage welded into place. That's another tip. Put security lights or cameras up around where you park. Park in well-lit and enclosed areas. And also start a neighborhood watch. All makes sense. Oh, and by the way, hybrid vehicles are the most common targets, because they have more catalytic converters and more stuff inside of them. So the Toyota Prius is certainly high on the list, and you hear about that all the time. WikiHow is where you can get more information. I'm Big Rick Stewart. It's the Wine Country Saturday Soundtrack at 993thevine.com. It's the Wine Country Saturday Soundtrack. Fun music and great information with me, Big Rick Stewart. Yeah, I love talking about electric cars, because I just, it's, well, it is the future, and it's just, it's totally interesting. But let's not say bye-bye to the gasoline-powered cars quite yet. In fact, over at Dodge, they've been putting out some of this, kind of like the end run of lots of their cars, and they've just announced and shown off the 2023, you're not gonna believe this, 2023 Challenger SRT Demon 170, 1,025 horsepower, what? You can buy a car with 1,000 horsepower, just a little bit more. That is crazy. It's got a 6.2 liter supercharged V8, and they say it will be the quickest production car made. Duh. I don't know how it corners, but it's certainly gonna go pretty fast in a straight line, right? Actually, fuel economy for this 1,000 horsepower car isn't too bad. I mean, you know, given all the stuff you get. 13 miles per gallon. I mean, big trucks get that. 21 on the highway, all right. I just think your right foot would kind of make that number go down quite a bit. It can do the quarter mile in under nine seconds. They're saying 8.91, so you can take it over to Sonoma maybe on Wednesday nights and see what it does. It can hit just over 151 miles an hour. Horsepower and speed depend on, you know, kind of the gasoline and all that stuff. Wow, this sounds totally crazy. It is street legal. It's got big, fat, wide racing tires, and this is really funny. It does not come with a passenger seat or a backseat, but they are optional, and it runs $96,666. They're going to make 3,300 of these, and you better get in line. I mean, if you have enough money, buy two of them, because you're going to want to keep one for the collector value and never drive it, but you're going to have to have one to drive 1,000 horsepower Dodge. That's wild. Take me for a ride. I'm Big Rick Stewart. It's the Wine Country Saturday Soundtrack at 99threethevine.com. Well, those are some stories that I have featured on the Wine Country Saturday Soundtrack. Tune in at 8 a.m. every Saturday at 99threethevine.com. I'm Big Rick Stewart here.
