Irréelle is built around the use of a Polynesian scale based on D to which all the musicians as well as the entire programming are subject. In a gentle first part, the different improvisers interact with each other and with the sequenced material playing long imitative and repetitive melodic motifs, a bit like a mantra. The second part exploits a much more marked dynamic while the drive and the harmony become much more complex.
