The speaker discusses the importance of embracing change and moving through different seasons in life. They compare the transition from spring to summer to the transitions we experience in our personal lives. They emphasize that not everyone can grow with us and that it's okay to let go of relationships that no longer serve us. The speaker encourages listeners to embrace God's timing and not be afraid of the next season in their lives. They also give a shout-out to local businesses and remind listeners that the choice to embrace change is theirs. Welcome to Faith Alive in 5, the 5-minute gospel. Now here's your host Dr. Faye. For to everything there is a season and a purpose under the sun. There's a time to be born, there's a time to die, there's a time to plant, and there's a time to pluck up that which is planted. We see this in Ecclesiastes the third chapter that there is a season for everything. Seasons are like generations. They move from one to the next and each generation may differ from the previous generation in the way that they produce results or get results in their lives. As we move from spring to summer we know that the transition will bring certain different a different atmosphere. There's a different weather, there's different weather, there's different temperatures, there's different way of being. People start going swimming at the lake and at the pools and kids are getting out and they're beginning to play. It's the sign that summer is here. Why is it that we can accept the change of the seasons as far as spring and into summer as we're moving into now or summer into fall and fall into winter and we all have our preferences for seasons. Yet when it comes to our lives it's difficult, it's challenging, it makes us uncomfortable, yeah, to go from one season to the next. But God has built us for change and he's also built us to be able to overcome the challenges inside of changes, to move out of comfort zones into next levels so that we know that we are growing as we go. It's okay that we don't have the BFF that we had a decade ago, five years ago, or pre-COVID ago. It's okay because when you grow not everybody can grow with you. When you go not everyone can go to the next level with you. You see some people are only there for those seasons, those summer days, when it's swimming, when the fun time is there, relaxing at the beach is there. But when it's time to gear up and go to work and do the things that are required in order to make summer pleasant, most people dread it, don't want to go there. There are some people that don't want to go through the pain with you, don't want to go through the process with you, amen church I'm preaching, don't want to go through the things that they have to go through to get to where they said they want to get to, but they will leave you. They will ghost you. They will go home and sit down while you're doing the hard work. But seasons have to come. You may have an ex this year that you didn't have last year, right? But do you know what? As you move forward through these next few months you will discover exes for a reason because they just could not grow with you so they cannot go with you. This month I'm targeting something that I haven't targeted in a long time as far as these teachings are concerned, embracing God's timing. And for this week it is called understanding the seasons of life. So throughout the entire month I will be focused on different topics concerning embracing God's timing. Can you embrace the change that's coming in your life right now? Just as you are now consciously, mentally adapted to the timing of the seasons that is going from spring to summer, there's traumatic activity all over the region. There's been rain and all kinds of things that have been happening weather-wise and we've become pliable. I have adapted being re-transplanted in the South because I know now that this is supposed to happen and there's no need to be afraid of change. There's no need to be afraid of the process of bringing one season in behind another. It must be birthed in. Yes, relationships on the next level as you grow must be birthed in and they cannot be birthed in if you're still in old relationships. Old relationships are great. Old friendships are great when they're growing with you. They can go with you. But if they're not growing with you they cannot go with you and I want you to know that it's okay because there are seasons of life and you can embrace your next level and not be afraid of what the next season will bring.
