Nothing to say, yet
A student is doing a character profile project on a female character from "Hills and White Elephants." They interview the character and ask about how she treats others, her closest relationship, her feelings towards the person, what she would change about herself, and how she would want to die. The character describes herself as polite but reserved, emotionally connected but distant from her partner, frustrated and confused in their relationship, and wanting more clarity and assertiveness in expressing her needs. She cannot think of how she would want to die and describes her personality as reserved, contemplative, and complex. Hello, Miss. I'm doing a character profile project for 1.3, Choice Assignment, and this is an interview on the character. The character that I am doing is the female character from the Hills and White Elephants. I specifically chose this character because I'm just simply interested in her, and I'm portraying her as today's interview, the interview person. And I'll start now. The interviewer says, in general, how do you treat others? Politely, as I treat you, by keeping them at a distance, or with sarcasm. In general, I try to be polite and considerate when interacting with others. I believe it's important to maintain a respectful and amicable atmosphere, especially in a sensitive or challenging situation. However, I can also be reserved and somewhat distant, particularly when discussing personal matters, or when I feel the need to protect myself emotionally, though. Which person are you closest to? It's a bit complicated. I have a close connection with a man I'm traveling with, but we also have a significant distance between us. We're at a point in our relationship where we need to make a big decision, and it's affecting our closeness. So, while I'm emotionally connected to him, there's also a gap between us at this moment. Do you despise him? I don't despise him, but I do have a sense of frustration and confusion in our relationship at this moment. Our differences and the decision we're facing have created tension between us. It's a challenging situation, and I'm trying to understand my feelings and what I want for the future. Despising him isn't accurate, but there's certainly a complex mix of emotions. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? If I could change one thing about myself, I would want to have more clarity and assertiveness in expressing my own desires and needs. I often struggle with being open about my thoughts and feelings, and I believe that having the ability to communicate more directly and assertively would make it easier for me to navigate the challenges in my current situation and life in general. If you could choose, how would you want to die? I could not think of an answer for this, so I just made up two other questions. What three words describe your personality the best? I would say that the three words to describe personality might be reserved, contemplative, and complex. Well, thank you, miss. That's it.
