Nothing to say, yet
In this podcast episode, Jesus speaks to a group of people who are focused on religious works and rituals. He challenges their perspective by emphasizing the importance of a personal relationship with Him instead of relying on religious practices. Jesus tells them that the work of God is to believe in Him and that He is the bread of life. He explains that whoever believes in Him will have eternal life and that His flesh and blood are the true food and drink that bring life. He confronts the limitations of religion and urges them to come to Him and feed on His Word for spiritual nourishment and transformation. Now, let's continue with the second part of our podcast. Verse 27, here we go, strap on your seat belt. Do not work for the food that perishes, but for the food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to you. For on Him, God, the Father, has set His seal. Trabajad no por la comida que perece, sino por la comida que a vida eterna permanece, la cual el Hijo del Hombre os dará, porque a este señaló Dios el Padre. Verse 28, Ciclo 28. Then they said to him, What must we do to be doing the works of God? Entonces le dijeron, ¿Qué debemos hacer para poner en práctica las obras de Dios? Immediately, they're speaking from a position of garments, of work, and Jesus wants to change their perspective. You don't have to do things to know me, para conocerme, because that's how religion is. You don't have to do a lot of prayers, although prayer is important. Here we go, here's the mess. Because religion tells you, you've got to pray eight hours, or else God won't come. Jesus said, you've got to pray. So the question is, are you praying because out of religion, you have to pray eight hours? And if I don't pray the eight hours, then God won't come, or am I praying because I want to be with Him in His presence, and I know He's going to come? Is it from works, or is it from relationships? Verse 28, Ciclo 28. They said to him, What must we do to be doing the works of God? Because that was all they knew. Religion. That was all they knew. They were bound to it. Verse 29. Jesus answered them, This is the work of God. What is the work of God? This is what I want you to work in. This is what I want you to work in. This is what I want you to work in. Not in vain practices. Not in religion. But that you believe in Him who He sent. Simple. Just believe in Him. I want you to work in your relationship with Him. I don't want you to have to work to try to obtain His approval. I don't want you to work so that you can be more holy. Because the only one who makes you holy is Christ. And the more relationship you have with Christ, the holier you are. Religion teaches you that the more work I do, the more I pray, the more I fast, the more holy I am. That is not true. Because you can fast, and you can pray, but your heart is not there, then there is never real transformation. Because when a person who transforms you, his name is Jesus Christ, and it's in relationship with him, it's not what you do or you cannot do. So Jesus tells them, this is the work of God. That you believe in Him whom He has sent. So all I have to really do in my work is really just to know Him. It's that simple. Religion puts burdens on us. Religion puts false expectations. There are more people that ran away from God because of religion. Verse 30. So they said to him, then what sign do you do that we may see and believe you? What work do you perform? Once again, going back to work. Jesus just fed 5,000 men without counting women, without counting children, out of five loaves of bread and two fish. And they're still asking for work because religion does not allow you to see Jesus correctly. Verse 31. Man, I feel the Lord is bringing in something so powerful. Verse 31. Our fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, as it is written, he gave them bread from heaven to eat. Jesus said then, said to them, truly, truly, I say to you, it is not Moses who gave you the bread from heaven, but my father gives you the true bread from heaven. And Jesus said to them, truly, truly, I say to you, it is not Moses who gave you the bread from heaven, but my father gives you the true bread from heaven. For the bread of God, for the bread of God, he is he who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world. Because the bread of God is the one who came down from heaven and gives life to the world. They said to him, sir, give us this bread always. Without understanding, they're just blurring stuff out. They're speaking things out. Verse 35. Jesus said to them, I am the bread of life. I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me shall not hunger. And whoever believes in me shall never thirst. But I say to you, that you have seen me, and yet you do not believe. Verse 41. So the Jews grumbled about him. They were upset. They were talking about him. Because he said, I am the bread that comes from heaven. So I can imagine the Pharisees and all the scribes, I am the bread that comes from heaven. How are you going to be saying such a thing? Because you read scripture, but you don't read in between the lines. See, a religious person has a hard time receiving truth. Sorry, I just dropped the mic right there. Religion does not allow you to believe truth. Because religion places blinders on you that you see obscurely how God really is. Where are we? Verse 41. You're here. Good. So the Jews grumbled about him. He said, I am the bread that came down from heaven. They said, here we go. Here's religion. Here's religion with familiarity. Because religion never lets you see with honor. It never lets you see with honor. Religion does not allow you to see clearly. Verse 42. All of a sudden these guys stood up. They ate of the bread. They had eaten of the bread. They had the benefits. They liked the crowds. They liked the miracles. But then they come out and they say, Is this not Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? How is it then that he says, I come down from heaven? Verse 43. Jesus answered to them, Do not grumble among yourselves. No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him. Verse 45. It is written in the prophets and they will all be taught by God. Everyone who has heard and learned from the Father comes to me. Verse 46. I will raise him up on the last day. I will raise him up on the last day. I will raise him up on the last day. Not that anyone has seen the Father except who is from God. He has seen the Father. This is confronting the religion system so much. It does not allow them to see God. Correctly. They had the Messiah. They had the promises. They had the answered prayer in front of them. They had the desire of their heart. They had the person that they've been waiting for all of their lives. But religion did not allow them to see it. Religion was fighting against it. Religion was making resistance to him. Verse 47. Truly, truly, I say to you whoever believes has eternal life. I am the bread of life. He repeats it for a second time. Verse 49. Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness and they died. This is the bread that comes down from heaven so that one may eat of it and not die. I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. And the bread that I give for the life of the world is my flesh. Here, religion was insulted even more. So you mean we've got to eat of your flesh? You're saying that you're the bread of life. That's huge already. And now you're saying that we've got to eat from you? Verse 50. You're saying that you're the bread of life. That's huge already. You're saying that you're the bread of life. That's huge already. You're saying that you're the bread of life. You're saying that you're the bread of life. That's huge already. You're saying that you're the bread of life. That's huge already. You're saying that you're the bread of life. That's huge already. You're saying that you're the bread of life. That's huge already. You're saying that you're the bread of life. That's huge already. You're saying that you're the bread of life. That's huge already. You're saying that you're the bread of life. That's huge already. Unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you. Do you know why we need life? Because we are dead without Him. We don't need God because we're bad. We need God because we're dead. We need God because we're dead. And religion doesn't allow you to think that. You're dead to your works. That's what scripture says. You're dead to sin. That's what scripture says. So the Lord is telling them, the reason why you need to eat of me is because it gives you life. Religion tells you, don't be a fanatic. Religion tells you that if you give of your life to Christ, you have so much more you're going to lose. Keep reading. 54. These are words that we're not even accustomed to. Verse 54. I've rarely heard a person actually pray this. Whoever feeds on my drink, whoever feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life. And I will raise him up on the last day. When was the last time you said, let's go to church so we can feast on the flesh of Jesus? Verse 55. For my flesh is true food and my blood is true drink. Whoever feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me and I in him. Even that religion has made something that's common. When we share the supper, the holy supper, we do it without revelation. We do it out of tradition. And that tradition does not produce life. Whoever feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me and I in him. As the living Father sent me, I live because of the Father. And whoever feeds on me, he also will live because of me. This is not a religious act. This is us coming continually to Christ, eating of him. He is the Word. Eating of him. Meditating. Contemplating. Allowing the Word and its nutrients change us from the inside out. We began with Ephesians 5 that the Lord will present to Himself a bride and is going to cleanse her and wash her by the water of the Word. And so the Lord is saying, you have to come back to my truth. The only thing that will prepare you for me or a big ingredient that will prepare you for me is my Word. It's my truth. Because I don't want a religious bride. I don't want a bride with filthy rags. I gave you of my Word and I'm going to apply my Word in your heart, in your mind, in your body, in your spirit. I'm going to change you through my Word. I want you to feed off of me. I don't want you to feed off of your thoughts. I don't want you to feed off of the news. I don't want you to feed off of the opinions of others. I don't want you to feed of your personal life from the report of the doctor. I don't want you to feed off of lies. I don't want you to feed out of truth of my Word of what I have spoken for you, of what I have spoken over your life. I want you to feed. I want you to be nourished. I want you to be strengthened. That Word is going to wash you. It's going to cleanse you. It's going to remove every aspect of religion that has formed and conformed your life. That Word, the washing of the Word, the washing of the Word will set you free of all binding that the man has put on you for the religion which is not true. You are his bride. He paid for you with blood. You are cleansed by the blood. That sin was cut. Iniquity was removed. He washes you. He cleanses you. He prepares your heart. He cleanses you.
