In this guided meditation, you are encouraged to find comfort and relaxation. You are asked to imagine a burden you've been carrying and visualize giving it to God, who is loving and accepting. As you release your burden, you can feel God's love filling the empty spaces. You are reminded to trust in God and to know that He is always with you. The meditation ends with a sense of peace and the reminder that you can always return to this moment to give your burdens to God. Take a moment to get comfortable, either sitting or lying down, close your eyes and take a deep breath in and slowly exhale. Allow your shoulders to relax, your jaw to loosen and your body to settle. This is your time to release, to breathe and to let go. As you breathe in deeply, bring to mind a weight you've been carrying. Maybe it's a specific worry, a fear or an overwhelming sense of responsibility. Picture it in your mind, its shape, its size, its presence in your life. Be honest with yourself about how it feels. Now take a deep breath in and as you exhale acknowledge, I don't have to carry this alone. Visualize yourself standing before God who is warm, kind and welcoming, with arms outstretched. You don't need to say or do anything to earn his love. He already knows your heart. As you stand there, imagine holding your burden in your hands. Now gently offer it to him. Imagine placing it in his hands. Feel the weight leaving yours. Watch as he holds it with strength and care as if saying, I've got this my child. Breathe deeply again. With every inhale feel God's love filling the empty spaces where your burden once was. With every exhale, let go of the need to control, to fix or to hold it all together on your own. Repeat silently to yourself, Lord I trust you. I release this to you. Now imagine a wave of peace flowing over you from the top of your head to the tips of your toes. God's presence is steady, calming and constant. He fills every corner of your heart with reassurance and love. Feel his voice whisper to your soul, be still and know that I am God. I am with you. I will never leave you. As we close, take one more deep breath in and exhale. Know that God is holding you, your burden and your future. Whenever you feel the weight creeping back, you can return to this place, to this moment and give it to him again. Slowly bring your attention back to the room. Wiggle your fingers and toes and when you're ready, gently open your eyes carrying this sense of peace with you. Thank you, Lord, for carrying what we cannot. Amen.
