Raphael is being controlled by a voice in his mind to attack a woman named Tav. He sets her on fire and cuts her with his claws, but then breaks free from the control and saves her. She looked terrified as he, claws swiped for her leather-clad belly, and she clumsily dodged. What are you... Attack her again, said the voice in his mind. Snap! He called forth hellfire to torch the area where she stood, and she cried out, falling backwards out of the flames, desperate to stamp out the fires that caught on the fabric of her garments and singed her hair. Raphael stepped through the blaze unharmed, and he swiped downward at her prone form, slicing through clothing and skin as she motioned to shield herself with an arm. Blood covered his claws and flowed freely from her. Tav! Attack her again, yelled the voice in his mind. Break her! Yes, break her, Raphael repeated. But why? She asked, her words sounding as frail as she looked, his claws flexed as his hand drew back. Raphael, she said softly, pleading. No, he will not break her. The controller was forcibly pushed from his mind with a roar, and he was there beside her in the same instant. You're back, she murmured, her eyes searching his with a small smile on her lips. Raphael replied as he scooped her listless body into his arms. He then turned to regard their enemy. We will finish this without her involvement, and I will savour every second of flaying your flesh and tearing your limbs from your body. He did not wait for a response, and they left in a flash of flames and embers.
