Got to get a little bit closer. That's because you have a very white voice. Is that better? Does it sound better? Yeah, it sounds a lot better. It sounds a lot better? Yeah. Good. Alright. As it should. So, someone's birthday is coming up. I know. Let's get this celebration started. So, wait, which year are we on? 40? 42? Yeah, we'll go with that. No, like what, like 30, it's late, it's technically late 30s now, right? Or mid 30s? Technically, it's mid 30s, 36. No, no, no, no, no, no. Mid 30s is 35. But you're still on that mid 30s. No, no, no, no, no. So, wait, you're saying that late 30s is 37? 37, I don't know, yeah. So, wait a minute, wait a minute. Okay, so let me make sure I understand this. 30 to 33 is your early 30s. 34 to 36, mid 30s. 37 to 39, late 30s. That's correct. That sounds very American. It is very American. Like the way that we separate high school and shit, like nobody says that. They're like, oh, I'm in primary school. Oh, I'm in secondary school. To be fair, they also use the metric system. You mean kind of like we have junior high school? Like, okay, and I also have trouble, okay, so let's do this. Okay, so first through third grade, let's say that's elementary. Can we say that? Or is it first through fourth? Because then fifth through eighth could be junior high. Or should it be first through fifth? That's like primary slash elementary. It is first through fifth. Okay, so first through fifth. Sixth is what they classify as junior high. Sixth is, I think, seventh. Eighth grade is still junior high. You're not in high school until ninth grade. So, man, yeah, that's terrible. Right? Wait, was I wrong? Was I wrong? I was in high school until ninth grade. Okay. Damn, nothing came out. I thought I had to burp. I really thought I had to burp. I really did. And then it was a poof. That's how it is on the third night. You think you got something, and then it's air. That would be the worst because you really want to let go. You really do. You're like you've been going for a minute because you know. You had to have. Because the second one is not quick. That first one, though, is mysterious. That first one could take long as fuck, or it could happen in, like, three strokes. And you go in like, oh, yeah, I'm about to fuck this shit out. Uh-huh, and you fucked the shit out yourself. Yep. And you know as soon as you go in, yep, this nut is about to come. So, wait, within the first stroke, you're able to tell how long you got. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. All right, as soon as you go in, you're like, all right, there's going to be one. All right, but if you go in and you've been excited for a minute, you're going to be like, ah, yeah. So, wait, is there such a thing as too much foreplay? No. Actually, foreplay, especially if you've been needing some and been excited and you've been expecting it for a minute, it kind of calms you down. But if you've been expecting it and you just go right in, that nut is like sitting right at the spot. So, you haven't nutted it, nutted, nutted. Nutted it? Nutted. Nutted. Nutella. You haven't ejaculated in a week. So, if you just dive straight in, it's like, oh, yeah, right in there, you're nutting. But if you, and there's a, I don't have a good hand sound. I hope it doesn't sound like, shh, shh, shh, shh, shh. That sounds like some dry-ass sandpaper. Okay, hold on, wait a minute. I'm not going to lie. Wait, hold up. Is that better? It's a little bit better. I believe that's better. That's a little bit better. Okay, got to hit it with. Okay, got you, got you. It's different than the, oh, oh. It's a lot different. Okay, got you. And different than the, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know a good sound for, like, being inside of a vagina. I haven't had that experience in a while. It's like, shh. And there go my phone. Everybody calling now. Shh. Yeah. Oh, answer the phone. No. You can answer the phone. Yeah, here we go. Let's see what happens. Hello? It's because it's his birthday. Like, we can't. No, I'm just. Uh-huh, he ain't busy. He's not doing nothing. Oh, he looks confused. Oh, no, not yet. Listen to this. Probably around 7, 8. 9, 10. You talk about your plans for tomorrow? Oh, okay. Oh, bowling. I might be able to go. No, yeah, I got you. Yeah. Look at that, yeah. It's at Mentor Row House. This is how heterosexuals talk on the phone. Moments of silence. And then you hit them with a yeah. Oh, I forgot you gotta throw in the hetero laugh. Yeah, bro. Oh, that's the sound of the hookah. Appreciate it, appreciate it. 36? Yep. Wow. Oh, you know, chilling, drinking, the usual. More beverages to come. Oh, they did a little echo. You know, the dark liquor is where it's at. Makers, Mark, baby. I'm at Erica's. Wait, do they know who I am? Parma? Who that? Marlon. Oh. Tell them I said what's up. I got you. All right. All right. I hate it here. That's the way that I know them, with the dude with the big legs. Hey, the rest been filled out with them damn legs, bro. So he's just big. Oh, big. What kind of big are we talking? There are multiple levels of big. You got me big. You got power lifter big. You got you big. You kind of big for a tall person. Actually, because he just hit me up not long ago. He and his brother. So his brother trying to work out now. So he's probably a little past the weight that you started. Marlon is. Okay. How tall is he? Marlon is like 5'4". So he's my height. Yeah. Maybe. Okay. So, yeah, I know exactly what he's looking like. Yeah. He a big boy. Yeah. He a big boy. He a big boy. He can still move, though. No. No, he can't move? Oh, no. Oh, dear. So Marlon has already had that low center of gravity where he didn't travel fast, but now that he put on the weight, it's dropped. Now his center of gravity is his ankles. Yeah, yeah. And he's rolled them motherfuckers. Oh, never done that. To be fair, I've had experience being a big person for the majority of my life. My ankles have adjusted. So Marlon started out the size of me and went up to your weight. Oh. Like we were the same size. Oh, dear. Yeah. And he didn't finish up until high school, and that's when he started to fill out. Interesting. But that's in his bloodline. Okay, so it happens. Yeah. And that's why he's trying to get active. Yep. Good. When are they going? I want to go. I want to be there. I want to say over the last few years, especially because of his job, he hasn't been doing the exercise that he normally does because, again, when we were at high school, coming out of high school, we were super active playing basketball and all that stuff. You just didn't fucking eat. No, we ate a lot. That's the problem. He continued eating like we were, but now he's not active anymore, so he's just sitting on it. Oh. And folks' metabolisms are different. You got to watch that. Yep. So almost every day when we got out of school in high school, we'd run right over to Burger King and get two triple Whoppers, some nuggets, throw the bitches together, and kill that shit. He continued that, but still wasn't working out or doing any of the shit that we were doing to stay active because we were always on the basketball court. But now he's trying to get moving. Yeah, now he's trying to get moving. Oh, hell yeah. I would love to work out with him because it would be somewhat familiar, I think, and then we could do the same shit. And if we can't do the same shit, look at what you're going to be able to do. That's going to make me push more weight, just to kind of show off. Like, I haven't maxed out on shit in a while, but with all the workouts we've been doing, I feel like I've been working in the hyperbolic time chamber. I haven't maxed out on a lot of things except for now, recently, the flat bench and the legs. 245? On the flat, right? On the flat, right? I spotted you. I spotted you. You had two wheels, and then you had tens on each side. Was it 245? That's 245. 265. Let's fucking go. I had somebody spot me. And it wasn't me? No. That's disrespectful. I was in there. I was going through it. I'm like, fuck it. I know 245 is not a max, so let me try this out. I'm like, all right. And to be fair, 245 is not your max because you did like three of them. That's why I said I'm like, all right. You could do a single at 265. So I did five at 245. So I'm like, all right. Yeah, no. It's a double. It's a double. It's a double. It's a double. It's a double. It's a double. I'm like, all right. Fuck it. Let me just grab somebody. Yeah. And so I'm like, hey, you might spot me real quick. I'm going to try this out. He's like, all right. Now, were they big or small? He was big. OK. So he went for the big guy. He was actually benching more than me, right behind me. Beautiful. So I'm like, all right. Just spot me real quick. I don't know if I'm going to be able to get this. He's like, all right. How many are you trying to go for? I'm like, one. One. What? One. A singular one. Yep. So I'm like, all right. I'm going to try this out. I'm like, all right. How many are you trying to go for? I'm like, one. What? One. A singular one. Yep. So he looked at me like, you want help getting it off? I'm like, no. Because if I can't get it off, I know. I don't need to be moving it. Right. No. Not at all. So I pulled it off. I got out three of them. And I write. He was like, you didn't need me. I was like, yes, I did. Because if I couldn't have got that off, I would have killed myself. So you got 285 for one. Possibly. That's what I'm thinking. All right. I haven't benched in so long. Like, I've done the floor press. But you know, that's different. Because you're dead stopping at the bottom. So that's like 150 or 160. I know you're not comfortable on that bench. It's so small. It's so thin. I feel like if I lay back, I'm going to fall off. And I don't feel that way on the flat or the incline. But when I go do the dead stop, I feel like I'm going to fall off. So you're not comfortable on that bench. I know you're not comfortable on that bench. It's so small. It's so thin. I feel like if I lay back, I'm going to fall off. And I don't feel that way on the flat or the incline. But when I go do the dumbbells on the benches up front, it feels so thin. So that's how I feel on the flat bench. Like, I'd be finding it so uncomfortable. I'd be feeling like I'm leaning. I mean, I'll try it, though. I'm curious. I don't know what I can bench. I don't even know what I can incline. I don't even know what I can do. I don't even know what I can do. I don't even know what I can do. I don't even know what I can do. I don't even know what I can do. I don't even know what I can do. I don't even know what I can do. I don't even know what I can do. I don't even know what I can do. I don't even know what I can do. I don't even know what I can do. I don't even know what I can do. Because my grip always gets out first. I can lift the weight. It's just my grip. Do we need to make a stop at Dick's? Dick's. I'm always needing to make a stop at Dick's. Dick's straight to BJ's. I'm down for a good workout. I'm down for a good workout. And that's fair, but you should never have to feel like you need to pretend. Yeah, but how is someone going to be there for other people? I know. Toxic thinking. I was about to say you have to be there. No, no, no. That's not healthy. No, I know that already. I'm well aware. Yeah. You definitely wear your emotions on your sleeve. You're right. Fine. Whatever. What's it like to be right? Oh, can't relate. Feels good sometimes. Yeah, I'm wrong. Fuck out of here. That's the only thing y'all be right about. And by y'all, I mean you and Ricky. That's the only thing y'all be right about. Me. I'm okay with that. God damn it. I wanted you to disagree. Because y'all are right about other things too. But y'all just happen to always be right about me. And I'm like, what the fuck is that about? Because you just told me what I'm right. So, you know, I'm satisfied. I'm good. Yeah, but am I supposed to lie? I'm not going to lie. If you're right, you're right. You're right. I'm not. Ew. That's a hetero thing. I'm not straight like that. I'm willing to admit when I'm wrong. I am too. But you told me I'm right. And you said I'm not wrong to be right about other things. But I found something I'm right at. I'm good. I'm with that. Fuck you. How about that? How would you be right about that? How about you be right about a fuck you? You know, that's my life motto. Fuck you. How are you doing? I'm actually in a decent place right now. Good. That's what we like to hear. Yeah. I'm doing a lot better. I'm not drinking as much. I'm able to sleep both nights now. Okay, because listen. That's the only reason I said something. Just because I'm like, I know your normal level of like drinking. Oh, I got far away from the mic. I know your normal level. And then I was like, oh, this is sad drinking. Because I've done this before. And I was like, no, don't. Because then you can get stuck. I was just worried you were going to get stuck. But you didn't. I know when I'm getting to that point where I'm like, all right, this is very toxic drinking. I shouldn't be doing this at all. Take this. I got to redo the colds. We're smoking hookah. Was the food not good? You just set it down. We got into talking in that phone call. It kind of distracted me. Oh, I got a little distracted by the phone call and the conversation. I don't want to be in the mic. Just a smacking. So these colds literally had nothing left in them. Could you grab me a packet of colds from right there by the mixer? Oh, yeah. That's a lot of movement. See? All right. Okay, thank you. Bruh, the fact that I could be up on the mic like this and it's not popping. So here we go. The old people movement. That's exactly what it sounds like. Every time I get up, it's like. Or when you sit down. Wait a minute. Wait for it. Wait for it. Wait for it. Wait for it. Yeah, every time. It's like you let one out. Not only are you letting one out, but you got to brace yourself in case you fall back down. I don't have enough hands. I'm holding the microphone, the hookah, and a pack of unopened colds. What the fuck am I supposed to do? Wait a minute. Hold up. I got to hold the microphone like I be doing the hookah when I'm gaming. Oh my God, it's working. ASMR. On my lips. Ain't not one cold. Ain't not a singular cold on that you fucking crackhead. All right. It's your turn. I brought up the last three topics. Use the inspiration of the things that you watch. Go for it. The things that I watch. Or life. It's really up to you. I don't watch a lot of things besides anime. I'm currently re-watching Fairytale. That's who we are right now. Don't nobody give a fuck about that. No, don't nobody but me. Or Keith, give a fuck about Fairytale. You've been talking to Keith about Fairytale? Yeah, I talked to Keith when I first watched Fairytale. He was watching it too. Yeah, but when was that? Why don't none of my friends communicate with each other outside of me? Y'all not friends? Y'all don't like each other? Yeah, me and Keith cool. You and Keith don't ever talk. When we see each other. Yeah, but the only time you see each other is when I'm here. And? But that's what I'm talking about. Like, why don't you see the people who are friends? Right? You would consider them friends? Ooh, wait. Hold on. Wait a minute. So you don't consider them friends? Wait a minute, hold on. Do you have a high threshold for friends? Because I'm past friend. Yeah. Okay, so wait a minute, wait a minute. Break it down for me, break it down for me. Inner circle to outer circle. Who's closest and then go from there? Like, what you would consider people. You got family, obviously. That's your closest. That's your most inner circle. Who's just outside of those? Who's just outside? It's not many people in my friend circle. I don't care. But you clearly have them stratified in some form or fashion. But see, here's the thing. Me and Keith don't talk or hang out well enough for us to be friends. We cool. But like, why can't you? Like, you would never hit them up and be like, hey, let's kick it. Probably not. Wait, this never has to be public. Why? I don't know. It's just, it's never been there. It's just, it just hasn't. Like, if we hang out more in. A group. A group or like, if I see him more often, I'll be like, all right, cool. Like, I would actually hit up Joe before I hit up Keith to go. And hang out and do something. But you haven't. I haven't. Why? Hit him up. I am not. Joe would love to go out. That friendly. As you already know. What do you mean you're not that friendly? I am not that friendly. To do what? To just invite people out to do things that I'm already not comfortable going out and doing things with. Why would I know that? You're comfortable going out with me, right? Right. But you've also seen me around people. And although I'm cool and conversational with other people, you do know that I don't fucks with people. So then why do you act like you do? You don't have to. You're just being polite. I mean, I'm not, I'm not a rude person until you make me rude. I wouldn't be rude. I just wouldn't really engage. Like, they're trying to talk to me about something. I'm like, oh, cool. That's what's up. If it's something that I'm interested in, I am going to participate. But, you know. Yeah. If it's not. No, I get it. That sounds cool. I mean, you've never really introduced me to any of your friends. It's mostly been family. And the one friend you did introduce me to, or the two, or the three, I don't really fuck with. But that's because you don't really fuck with them. Who's that? The Mexican. Oh, Jesse's. The white boy. What do you want with the white boy? You talking about Mike? You were friends at one point. Oh, okay. And, I mean, to be fair, I knew him, but I knew him more when he lived with you. Who, Jesse or Mike? The husky owner. Well, I put owner in quotation marks. Oh, okay. I mean, to be fair. Look at you being fair. Y'all was friends before we were friends. That's why I said I knew of him, but I got to know him a little more when he started living with you. Because that's how I got to know you in the first place. Got it, got it, got it. So, to be fair. Still out here being fair. All three of them, I no longer associate with. And that's what I was getting at. I mean, I associate with Dave online here and there, but Mike and Jesse, I don't associate with. For the fuck what? Oh, you mean why don't I associate with them? We don't need to know that. I know that. Yeah, yeah. But we don't need to know that. Oh, the people don't need to know that? The people don't need to know that. People don't need to know that. People do not need to know that. Not this early on. Nah. Oh, my God. Can we record a few times first? Hey, take me to dinner. Lube it up. Chill out. My bad, my bad. Set the scene. I got you. You got to set the scene. Exactly. Like, are you a plumber? Are you a pizza delivery guy? What is it? That's what Ricky told me. Again, that shows you how many people I keep in my inner circle. I don't have a lot of friends. I have a few associates, and I better fuck with those. But associates sound so mean. No. So you don't mean it in like, oh, you're an associate. No. It's like, you're someone I choose to associate with from time to time. Yeah. Oh, would that matter? If I don't fuck with you. I don't associate with you at all. But see, I associate with you means I can be in place with you. I can have a conversation with you, and I cannot be an asshole. But if I don't fuck with you, I'm just not going to fuck with you at all. Especially if you're somebody at work. We don't need to be friends at work. I'm currently friends, sort of. You are associates. With, yeah. Yeah. You are associates. I've had one of them over to smoke. Mm-hmm. Once? So far. You're still associates. What are we? Me and you? Yes. What kind of fucking question is that? Listen, this is, we're classifying relationships here. I added title to shit, apparently. Again, we are past that friendship level. Like, we've been close for what? 10 plus years now? Yes. You were around before Kylie was born at this point, and she'll be 10 in September. Yo, chill. Wait, no. Wait, whoa, whoa, whoa. How old? She'll be 10 in September. Stop it. Stop it. Disrespectful. Disrespectful. Is she still at Urban? Yeah. You know that's right next to the place that I went to school at, right? Yeah. Right down 54th? Yep. Yep. Urban used to be a, quote, rival. Every high school needs a rival high school. Right. Wait, the high school that you went to, do you know who your rival was? So... Are we talking about the high school I graduated from? Whichever one you consider your high school experience. So... Even if it was only partial. Yeah, I've had a few rivals, because Kennedy was rival with everyone, really. Kennedy was rival with the streets. For the streets. For the streets. And Kennedy was for the streets. It was. I was a huge fan of Kennedy. They were very nice. We talked about, like, queer stuff, and they were very curious, because no one would talk to them about it. So Kennedy definitely was an eye-opener for me. It wasn't as bad as everyone made it fucking out to be. Not at all. Not at all. The only place I feel like it was bad is people made it out to be the South High School. So... And South closed. When I started going to high school, and I transferred, because, you know, I moved from my mom to my father. At that point, I came from Euclid, and moved out there with him. So they enrolled me at Glenville. Oh, so your rival would have been Collinwood. I went to Glenville for probably two months. A lot of fights? No. It was outside of my area. So you weren't allowed to go there? I wasn't supposed to be enrolled there, anyway. How was it for the two months you were there? It wasn't bad. I was gonna say, like, I was joking. You would fight at Collinwood. But Glenville, no. I feel like you would have gotten heavily into sports. Yep. Sports kid ball. But then, from Glenville, they transferred me to the South. I'm so sorry. I was at South for all of the day, so don't be sorry. Oh, thank God. How was that day? It was interesting. It was interesting. I mean, classes were not being classed. So there's one statement there. Was it giving Eastside high? Was it giving lean on me? It very much was. It really was. Okay. Kill yourself expeditiously. And then I got enrolled into Kennedy the very next day. Totally different experience. And going to Kennedy, literally everybody told me, you're gonna get into so many fights at Kennedy. It's so crazy over there. You was bound to get into fights anyway because you was tall. Well. People always want to fight the tall person. I was tall and I was thin. Right. So people thought they could fuck with you. Yeah. Yeah. And they found the fuck out. They found out very quickly. But at Kennedy. Because you're tall. You can swing your arms with so much more velocity. Like you have such a larger wingspan to generate force. Well, again, I've been fighting since fighting been fighting because I've always been either thin and small or thin and fucking tall. I didn't sprout out until maybe seventh grade. And even then you didn't fill out until your late 20s. Exactly. It was a process. It was a process. But you look good now. Everybody just felt, all right, let's pick on Kidd. Let's pick on Kidd. Let's pick on this thin motherfucking. All right, let's pick on this tall skinny motherfucking. Surprisingly, that wasn't my experience at Kennedy. Not at all. I've actually only gotten into one fight at Kennedy. What was the one fight? When was it? How long were you there? Technically, this situation started outside of the school. So it started in the neighborhood? Yep. Oh, so y'all lived near each other. Unfortunately. Was he like a fuck boy? Oh, yeah. Wait, what year was this? Wait, what year was this? I don't fucking know, bro. This was a minute ago. So wait, you were in high school at the same time as my sister. The fight happened in... Oh, how about this? Was it before or after the big blackout of 2003? After. Okay, so 2003, 2004. So you were a junior. Yeah, that's what I was about to say. Yeah, because my sister graduated in 2004. And she's only like a year older than you. So it was interesting. Why was y'all beefing outside of school? Because he was a fuck boy. What did he say? This all arrived over Kazo. Yeah, you remember that name. I remember Kazo. Let me stop smiling. This was at a time that me and her had just got back talking to each other. Because when I left Euclid, we lost contact completely. So y'all rekindled your friendship. It actually was friendship at that time. So when I left Euclid, we... No, no, I meant friendship. I promise. When I was at Euclid, we were together. Fully. But I let her know, hey, I'm moving with my father. I'm going all the way to... Side note. Why Kazo? Do you want me to explain the story for Kazo? Yes. Why her name is Kazo? Yes. I don't know if the people are ready for this. All right. Give us the short version. It's fine. So... Bullet points. Her name didn't become Kazo until after we got reacquainted. Okay. A little bit after we got reacquainted, she was talking to this dude named Chris. Okay. I believe they were engaged at the time. And her... Holy shit. Yeah, so she was always coming to chill and hang with me. And Chris had a problem with it. And rightfully so. I was going to say he should have had a problem with it. The fuck? Rightfully so. Well... Did he know about your previous entanglement? No. Not at all. But he sensed it? He definitely sensed it. Oh, absolutely. Okay, go ahead. Continue. I'm sorry. Apparently, her and her mom were together when he was voicing his concerns. Oh, my. And her mother was the one that actually said that that's just her cousin. Yeah, her mom actually liked me a lot. So her mom told current fiancé, Dick, that wandering stranger, Dick, was just a cousin. So, again, me and her had been together for quite some time before I went. From Euclid. So I had already been introduced to her mom. We had went to her junior prom and everything together. So pretty and going. I need more liquor. So do I. And her mom actually liked me a lot. So when the situation arised and he was asking questions, her mom was like, that's just her cousin. And she came back and told me. And that's where Cuzzle arrived. Yeah. So those who want to know, that's how Cuzzle arrived. If you ever have someone in your life that calls said other one Cuzzle and y'all don't know how they're related, they're probably not related. No, this is what I want to talk about. I want to talk about. And I'm being self-centered, so indulge me. But I want to talk about the early 20s that I had. Wait, we got to get back to the fight first. Oh, shit. I totally forgot that we had a whole detour into why Cuzzle was Cuzzle. OK, so fight. So Cuzzle had came to chill with me one day and we were chilling at my house. My father was across the street playing cards and it had got later in the day. So it was time for her to go. It's like, I want to say eight or nine o'clock at night. So it's dark outside. She's getting ready to catch the bus home. So, you know, I walk around the corner, chill with her at the bus stop to make sure she get on the bus. Cool. And then had her call me so she can let me know when she make it home. Like most friends do. So we're chilling at the bus stop. We're chilling at the bus stop. Now, mind you. I grew up in this neighborhood. My father and my grandmother have lived on this street my entire life. Granny? Yeah. OK. So everybody over there knows. So we're chilling at the bus stop. And dude that I get in a fight with, we'll call him Guy A. You already named him. Did I? Yeah, you said Chris. No, no, no. That's her fiance. So I'm about to do that. I got in a fight with him in high school. Oh, OK. Can we give him a nickname? What nickname do you want to give him? How badly did he get his ass beat in the end? Aggressively bad. All right, Smokey. We can go with Smokey. Cause Smokey was a bitch. But he barked. And I'm about to tell you exactly how big of a bitch he was. Lord God. We're chilling at the bus stop. He walks up on us. He starts trying to talk to Chris. Now, mind you, she already seen him before I did. He started walking up. She leaned over to me. She's like, hey, just act like we together. I know this dude about to try to talk to me. Just, you know, act like we, you know, together. The fact that women have to do that still. Right. So he walks up. He's like, hey, yo, shorty. What's going on? I'm like, all right, she good. She don't want to talk to you. That's my girl. Just keep moving. He put a couple of dudes. You know, I've never seen this dude before. And I actually just fucking remembered his actual name. But, you know, won't go in there. But I never seen this dude before. He must be new to the neighborhood. So he's like, oh, why are you being like that? You cuffing? You holding? I'm like, nigga, it don't matter if I'm cuffing or not. She already said she don't want to talk to you. So just leave it alone. He's like, oh, don't be a little bitch, man. You ain't got a cuff. I'm just trying to talk to her. I'm like, but I already told you. She don't want to talk to you. So just keep it pushing. You know how to be nothing. So he get big. Start talking shit. Now, mind you, again, this is my neighborhood. So right across the street from the bus stop. My dudes is sitting on the porch. Oh, my God. So they just watching the whole thing unfold. They are just waiting for the queue. Waiting for the queue. Wait a minute. Hold up. He's with two dudes? Yeah, he's two dudes. How many dudes are across the street? Four. Plus you. Yes. Plus her. Plus her because she was swing. So. Was she? Yeah. Oh, absolutely. Okay. Six people. Six people. Against their three. He's still yapping. He's still yapping. Of course he is. No, I don't want nothing to go down while she's here. I don't want her to get involved. He thinks you pussy. He think I'm big pussy. Oh, my God. So bus finally come up. She hop on the bus. He had walked into the store. He had let shit go for a second. She hopped on the bus. He came back out. Start talking shit again. I'm like, dude. Go home. Go home. Like. Go home. I don't even know who you is. I don't know where you came from. Keep it pushing. I'm like, it ain't gotta be that serious over a girl. He's like, you the one that's acting all shitty over a female. I'm like, no, you acting retarded over a female that don't want you. Ew, female. Gross. Hey. We continue. Why are you getting hype over a girl that don't want you, bro? It's one thing if I'm talking to a girl that you talking to or something like that, but she don't want you. And she made that abundantly clear. Like, go home. Let it go. What neighborhood you from? So he got live. And at this moment. My dude stood up on the porch. Well, okay. We good. So I'm like, yeah, we good. He was like, oh, y'all know him? No, nigga. We don't know you. Oh. So he pushed off at that point. Of course he did. Smart. That's first encounter. This was the process. So second encounter. This was a couple months that passed. So I'm chilling at Marlon house on Harvard, right? We chilling. Me, him and his little brother and one of his friends named Phil. All right. We gaming and shit. Marlon like, hey, man, you should just run to the house real quick and grab your shit. So we had two systems and run, run all together. This is when the Xbox was out, I think. The original Xbox. Classic. Right. Those chunky ass controllers. I don't stay that far from Marlon. So I'm like, all right, cool. I'll hop on the 15 real quick. I'll be right back. Feel like I'm around with you. Now, mind you. This is Marlon's friend. Okay. I already am iffy with this. That's the situation. Is Phil different? Yeah. Okay. Yeah. This is a different person. So I'm like, all right, cool. So me and Phil ride back to my house, grab all my shit and we come back out, wait on the bus to go back to Marlon house. Lo and behold, coming down the street, who is it? Smokey. You don't have a job. Now Smokey's again with these two niggas. Right. Walking down the street. I knew he was about to say something. So it's Smokey freaking Frack. Got it. So I knew he was about to say something. I tapped Phil, I'm like, hey, just be ready. So shit might happen. Hey, yo, you still cuffing? Ignores the fuck out of this thing. I know you hear me. You still cuffing? Still ignoring. This motherfucker crosses the street. Comes up on me. So you don't hear me talking to you? You still cuffing, bro? I'm like, nigga, I was ignoring you for a reason. You have my dick so far down your throat that it is tickling your anus. Why are you obsessed with me? I couldn't understand it. I couldn't understand. Like, why are you still obsessed over a girl that don't want you, bro? She's not even here. She's not even here. Of all the things for people to call gay, they should call that gay. That should be gay. That should be gay. He's obsessed with you. So he tries to entice me. I'm like, look, I ain't got time for this. I'm not about to fight you over a girl that don't want you, bro. But you ain't about to get in my face. No, we're not doing that. And try to bitch me. That's just point blank. He's like, oh, you big now? You big now? I'm like, nigga, I understand you got two people with you. But I'm never scared. He's like, well, I'm like, you ain't gonna talk me to death. Either you swinging or move the fuck up. It's that simple. I kid you not. This is what made me fall out with Marlon's friend. He grabs me and say, hey, yo, man, just be quiet. Just be quiet. Nigga, what? Be quiet. I'm waiting for you too. Nigga, who sides are you on? Even if you wasn't involved, just step back and shut the fuck up. You can do that. No, man, just be quiet. Just chill out. I'm like, nigga, I'm not about to let nobody bitch me over something stupid at the least. No. If this nigga is gonna walk up on me and have the balls to swing, then we about to go in. Especially with no gun. You gonna pull out a gun on me? So he smokey sees this nigga back down. You better listen to your friend. Better listen to your friend. Start grabbing his waist like he got a piece. Girl, we're all broke. So I'm like, Phil, you a bitch. And I promise you, once we get back to Marlon House, I'm gonna fuck you up. And I told Smokey, if you ain't swinging, move the fuck up. They stopped yapping and they moved on. Right. I kid you not. We got back to Marlon House. I tried to choke slam the fuck out of Phil. Okay. Marlon saved his life on more than one occasion. So past that, now I'm at Kennedy. Right. I didn't even think this nigga went to school. Now that or not, he seems very able to ride the street. Oh, my God. With brick and crack. Of all classes for this nigga to walk into, he walked into my computer class. Did y'all have Macs? Bro. And what does he say when he walk in? You still cuffing? I swear to God. He looks over the computers. Mind you, I'm all the way in the back of the class. I'm like, what's going on? I'm like, what's going on? I'm like, what's going on? I'm like, what's going on? I'm like, what's going on? I'm like, what's going on? I'm like, what's going on? I'm like, what's going on? I'm like, what's going on? I'm like, what's going on? I'm like, what's going on? I'm like, what's going on? I'm like, what's going on? I'm like, what's going on? I'm like, what's going on? I'm like, what's going on? I'm like, what's going on? I'm like, what's going on? I'm like, what's going on? I'm like, what's going on? I'm like, what's going on? I'm like, what's going on? I'm like, what's going on? I'm like, what's going on? It's been months. If you're not swinging, move on. Move on, bro. Let that shit die. Oh, he's just fine about it. Either way. Let me know. I'm prepared. So on this particular day. Oh, Lord God. Y'all at school. No. So he let it rock for computer class. He let that shit ride. I ignored the fuck out of that name. On this particular day, Kennedy had one of their classic riots. Right down the street. Oh. Yeah. Big fight. Big old fight. So everyone's hype. Everyone's hype. Oh, Lord. He was feeling himself. Now, mind you, I typically walk to school because it's not that far. Right? Right. Right down the street from the school is Burger King, where me and Marlon almost every day went to go get lunch at. Yeah. The Whoppers and the Nuggets. Right. So I'm going there. Go across the street to DP. Okay. This nigga's walking out of DP. Lord God. What, is he in jail? Probably. I don't know. That's fair. But again, he's with fricking fucking frats. Oh, my God. They have threesomes. They have threesomes. He's a bottom. It's okay. There's nothing wrong with being a bottom. But I'm just saying, he's a bottom. At this moment, he found me alone. And he's with fricking frats. You were still alone with Phil. But now I'm alone. Physically alone. I got you. So he's ready. So what's up with all that shit you was talking? Who's talking shit? I'm quite certain you the one that's been talking shit. You the one talking shit. But again, you're not going to talk me to death. Either you can swing or move the fuck home. It hasn't changed. So at this point, he squares up. Fucking finally. Finally? What is this, an episode of Dragon Ball Z? Oh, say less. I lift this motherfucker all the way up in the air and slam this thing. Now, I'm one of those people who fight. And I fight with who I'm fighting with. I already know I'm about to get jumped because you got fricking frackwood. No, but you? You about to get fucked up. So I slam this thing. And I climb on top. And I'm beating the shit out of this thing. Fricking frack jump in, trying to punch me. I'm beating the shit out of this thing. Oh, if I'm going to be fucked up, oh, you're going to be just as fucked up, bro. I'm beating his face in. And fricking frack trying to pull me off, beat me up. Pussy. Super pussy. However, my niggas from the hood, they'll go to Kennedy. The ones from across the street? Yep. Amen. And they saw. Immediately. Oh, so they didn't have very long to try to fuck with you. No. So they took care of the other two while you kept on over. Oh, my God. When I tell you I seen the swiftest fucking kick come past my face and kick frack off of me, you would have thought it was like a big show kick. It was in super slow motion, too. Beautiful. Oh, my God. It was beautiful. Because now I can just continue to beat your ass without nobody interfering. Never saw him again after that day. Never saw him again after that day. None of my fights are as interesting because no one really fought me. I guess they thought I was more trouble than I was worth. I think just because I was thin, nobody thought I could fight. Nobody thought I had those hands. I think everyone was afraid I was just going to throw him. That wouldn't have been a fair assumption. So let me see. Everybody was broken up before anything really happened. Like, they swung, I swung, they broke it up. Like, there was this one dude in middle school who, like, literally got as close to my face as this mic is, and I just punched him because he was too close. And then he tried to come at me in recess, and I threw him off of me, and he was like, whoa. Yeah, anybody that enters that circle, I'm automatically swinging. You're very close. You're very close. And then someone else swung on me, and I kicked him in the chest. Broke my necklace. I was sad about that. A few people were fucking me in class. I threw a desk at them. And then the last altercation was somebody was getting on my nerves, and they were getting in my personal space, so I hit them with a science book. Never had to, like, physically fight with anyone after that, which is probably a good thing because now I've got grown man strength. I'm afraid I would kill somebody. Like, these boys right here, whoo, boys, I don't need to fight. We can talk it out. These hands ain't for everybody. All right. We need to, like, let's not. I got grown man bones now. Like, we need to stop. We can't just be fighting. It has to be life or death. So I went to Euclid, all of elementary and middle school, and every day was a fight. It was so bad, I was on first-name basis with the principal in middle school. Wait, that's a bad thing? Because I was too. Oh, my God, I was in his office all the time. To be fair, she was a sister. It was always sister Anne Boleyn. Like, it was never just, like, what's up, Anne. It was kind of like a doctorate. I went to a Catholic school. Yeah, no, he was cool, and after the first two fights, he finally learned not to call my mom. They just gave me my suspension. Not a suspension. Yeah. I almost got suspended for saying fuck in second grade. Look, so you know my mom. She believes in self-defense. Yeah, absolutely, as one should. So my first two fights. As I hope my niece does. So as my first two fights, they were in self-defense. Yeah, of course. I warned all my principals throughout the years, don't call my mom while she at work. Just give me my suspension because I promise you if you call her and tell her that I was in a fight because somebody put their hands on me. She is at work. I don't want to touch you out. The fuck did you call me at work for? So you called me because my baby did what he was supposed to do? Exactly. So after that, any time I got in a fight, I'm in his office. He's like, he always asks me first. So, Kev, what happened? That motherfucker put his hands on me. I don't know what happened. What was I supposed to do? Did you hit him first? Well, yeah. Go ahead. But after the first two, he started giving me, like, in-school suspension for a bit. So I did mid-school. I always had in-school suspension. Yeah. Which is childish. Me and him were definitely cool. Like, definitely. I just did cool shit in high school. I meddled out in high school. You meddled out? I meddled out in high school. I didn't fight as much. So your high school experience was solid? Yeah. For the most part. Elementary and middle school, I would say most of me was anger-fighting, bullshitting, terrible grades. High school, I want to say freshman year was still shitty grades and shit like that. But it took for what they call one of the worst schools for a teacher to actually realize that I was fucking bored to get me to start doing school work. So he got to you in sophomore year? Yeah. What teacher? Who was it? You got to remember who it is. Yes, his name is Mr. Smith and he actually became the principal of the school. Do you know what he's doing now? I don't know what he's doing now. Okay. But I will look into it. I was going to say, as somebody who just really recently lost their mentor, please check in. Get the opportunity to just let them know the impact that they had. When I left Euclid, I had did a proficiency testing and everything when I left Euclid, got all my grades straight. But when I transferred out to all those different schools, going into high school, they lost my transcript. Of course they did. So I ended up having to take the OGT. And I told them going in, I'm like, I don't want to fucking take those. The proficiency was already hard. Fuck the OGT. And y'all keep telling me that the OGT is supposed to be harder. I took it the first year that it came out. The OGT, the proficiency. OGT? Yeah. I was in 10th grade. Yep. So they were like, yeah, no, you have to take the OGT. We can't find your transcripts and you need that to graduate. Fuck you. Yep. I'm like, all right, cool. I do it just so I can make sure I graduate. Mind you, this is still a time where I'm doing shitty in school. I mean, terrible. Now, I'm guaranteeing that they changed it at this point. But Kennedy was one of those schools that at the beginning of the school year, they tell you how you can pass the school year. And they tell you that 75% of your grading is testing. I hate that. Bro, I'm super good at testing. Most of my grade was based on how you incorporated the arts into your work, which was perfect for me because it was hard. That would have been preferable. But, again, I'm bored in school and you tell me all I got to do is pass my test and I'll still be C? Bet. Say less. So before the OTT came, every day I'm sleeping in class. I'm not doing any of my homework. I mean, I'm with my father at this point, so he don't know. He don't care. At one point, I think I missed 45 days out of the semester. That's like half of the semester. Yep. So... What were you doing? Nothing. My father works, so as soon as he leaves for work, I come back in the house and just chill. I either game or sleep most of the day. And then I pack up when I know he's getting ready to come home and I come in. I cut a lot of school months in your year. And so did I, but... My mom never questioned it, though. She was like, what about them grades? And I was like, oh, A's and B's mother. Well, he didn't question it because, again, my grades were C's. I may have had a D or here. You know, my mother wouldn't have accepted that shit, but I'm with my father. You know, Skinner Senior does. Yeah, he don't give a shit. As long as I'm not getting an S. So the OTT comes around. I take the OTT. And when the scores come back, of course, it's like months afterwards. I get called out to the principal's office. Of course, I'm acting the fucking fool. I'm missing classes and shit. I don't know what the fuck they're calling me down for. So they call me down here. They're like, hey, we have to have a sit down with you and your parents. I'm like, oh, fuck. All right. So they don't call my father. They call my mom. Oh, my God. So they set up a separate day for us to come up there. Now, mind you. They just got to take off work, come to school and have a discussion that I have no clue what the fuck is going on for. Lord God. My prayers. My prayers. So they come and she's like, so what the fuck is going on in school that I need to come all the way here? I'm like, I honestly can't tell you. I don't know what's going on. I have done so much stuff. I'm going to be honest with you. I've done so much. I don't know what they call you. It could be anything at this point. I can tell you a fight. So they fight. So we get in the office of Mr. Smith. This is done. He's like, all right. So the main reason why I called you in here is because of your behavior in school. I got all of your teachers to come together and show me exactly what you do. So. Your first period, your teacher tells me either you miss or you come in, put your hoodie down and go to sleep. All your other classes. You present, but you're not doing much. Except for Jim. You're very present in Jim. Duh. Who's not present in Jim? She makes fun. She's like, all your grades are sliding and not really doing that well. And my mother's like. Gritting the back of her teeth. So he's like, I say all this to tell you. You are the only one in our district to pass all five parts of the O.G. team. I said, I'm sorry. Say what? He's like, yeah. He's like, I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. You're the only one that passed all five parts of the O.G. team on the first time. Everybody else has to retake parts later this year. I'm like, I know what you're about to say. He's like, so. Now that I know you can do the work. I need to see some different work from the classroom. Fuck you. I was like, fuck you, dad. You son of a bitch. You son of a bitch. He's like, so let me ask you. What is it in class? Why aren't you doing anything? I'm like, I don't know. I'd just be bored. I'm like, one, I'd be super tired when I come here early in the morning. And two, I'd just be bored as shit. He's like, did you pass all your tests? I'm like, yeah. I mean, that's what they told me 75% of my grade was coming in. I mean, I'm going to pass the test. So he's like, all right. Is it just that you're bored? I'm like, kind of, yeah. He's like, all right. So let's put you in advanced classes. Whoa. I don't want to do that. I don't want to do that at all. No. No, thank you. No, thank you very much. I've seen them working. They have a lot of work. I already don't want to do the homework that I have. Nope. Catch these advanced classes. Yep. My mother looked at me. She was like, oh, yeah. Don't worry. He'll be there. And I got into the advanced classes. And I was like, oh, this is probably what I should have been doing for a while. Was it actually challenging? Yeah, it was challenging as fuck. But once I got into those classes, I averaged an A. So I'm like, all right, well, I probably should have been in these classes a long time ago. It was definitely worth it. It was a totally different experience for school for me once I got into advanced classes. So let me see. I should share my schooling experience. Eric, schooling 101. So I got to school on a voucher because there was no way my mom was about to afford that goddamn tuition from Metro Catholic Parish School. OK. They had three different buildings. Preschool through first grade was the Boniface Building where I had my first little girlfriend. OK. I learned how to write my name in cursive. What's cursive? That's what you would hear from any of the generations after us. Is that fancy thing that your parents be signing in to do checks? What are checks? Oh, my God. The Michael Building for third through fifth grade, which was the year that I screamed out fuck in a class. To which my mother convinced him I didn't, which was a very interesting thing. Oh, shit. I left the liquor right there. Look at me. What else? Concussion during recess. It was during dodgeball. We decided to play it against the church wall. Oh, I've had several. Yes. Because they broke one of the rules with throwing balls in people's head. Which they weren't supposed to do, which was a problem. Throwing the dodgeball at people's head. That's my favorite. Yeah, we would have fought. Probably not, because we probably would have been cool at that point. Probably. But, yeah, I was one of those people that was throwing dodgeballs at people's faces. Yeah, no, disrespectful. This was like kickball. It was mostly at the people that I didn't like. Oh, that's fair. Yeah. Oh, this motherfucker been picking on this motherfucker all year. Watch this. School flame. Oh, shit. In kindergarten I got into my first fight. I can't say that. Get. I can't say much. I got kicked out of daycare. You got kicked out of what? Daycare. Oh. Yeah, I bit somebody. You too? I bit someone and I stabbed them with a sport. I bit someone and stabbed them with a pencil. Hey. Like, so he thought he was going to come up behind me and like choke me, so I pulled a Goku. I bit his forearm. He let go. I don't remember this transaction that happened in daycare, but my mom loves to tell me all the time how bad I was that I got kicked out of daycare. So, yeah, it was an awesome time. Let you know from the beginning, I don't like people fucking with me. Like, don't touch me. Seventh grader threw a desk. Eighth grade was when things started to actually get good. How so? So in my school, every year the eighth graders put on a talent show because eighth grade was the last year in our school before they obviously went off to a different high school. So it was always a huge thing for the eighth graders because they were like the seniors of the school. So everyone was waiting to see like, what can you do? And they're also like, hey, I'm leaving, bitch. Bye, ho. I'm about to move on to my last four years, bitch. Which is very much what I did. So, oh my God. I'm just remembering some of the talents that people had. One of them was like a group performance to Air Force Ones. Oh, yeah, the talent shows. The talent shows are always interesting. They was all wear Air Force Ones. Were they crispy at least? They were crispy. Gotta be crispy. They had oversized jerseys, headbands, jeans. Sagwo and wide as fuck. Oh, sagged. Oh, yeah, that was back in the day. So those jeans was like four sizes too big. And it was all black folk and Puerto Ricans. Oh, yeah. Super big shirt. Super baggy pants. Way below the waist. Yeah, so they did Air Force Ones. But when I got into middle school, I discovered poetry through my teacher, Mr. Wolf. He had us do a project where we put together this portfolio of poems inspired by historical works. And then after that, I kept doing it. Because I had exposure to poetry in third grade where we had to write haikus. And I was good at it. But I didn't really get back into it until sixth grade. And then I kept doing it in seventh grade. And then my principal found out about it in eighth grade. And I was performing on the morning announcements, which was a big deal, I guess, for the school. And everyone gave me compliments. I wrote a short story that I read for my class that my teacher wanted me to do a dramatic reading of, which was fucking cool. So then the talent show comes around and I'm asked to perform. And then I do. And all the people who had shit to say about me before didn't have nothing to say no more. Because what could they say? Oh, you're. Yeah, but you were watching me on stage. And that's where I first figured out how much I love mics. So it was honestly seventh or eighth grade that I figured out that, like, oh, I can work a crowd. Bet. Because it's safe with a microphone. Because you got to listen to me, bitch. Exactly. Yo, yo, yo. I'm performing. Sit down, shut the fuck up. So seventh and eighth grade, there were also competitions called Power of the Pen. Did you ever hear of Power of the Pen? No. Writing was one of my least favorite subjects. Which is why you hate me. No. Oh. To be fair. Writing was writing history. Or one of my least favorite subjects. Oddly enough, when I test. They were one of my strong subjects. I don't know. Wow. Internalized hatred. Yeah. Oh, science is all me, baby. I love that. Oh, catch me with the science, writing and the social of studies. Got me. Math. I'm gonna do average. Math, I'm gonna do average. Absolutely average. I love math. I love science. Reading, writing. Reading, writing, arithmetic. You can keep that shit. I don't want it. Lives, life, friends, family. Okay, like, those were fun subjects and you're a hater. It's fine. But anyway, those were the years that I did a lot of writing. Because it's flash fiction. So you have like an hour to write a story. Based off of a prompt. First year, I did decent. Second year, I made it to originals, which is just one step out of states, which is the finals. I didn't go writing, writing. I was writing, writing. But that last year I did it, we did it, we were hosted at Cleveland School of the Arts. And I was like, what the fuck is this? People go here for like art and shit? I like to write. And my home high school was going to be none other than South. Yikes. But my mom didn't have money to send me anywhere else. Like, I got accepted into private school, absolutely. Because I had A's and B's. They put me, they did the same shit. They noticed I was bored and they put me in advanced classes. But they weren't able to catch it earlier. So I was in advanced classes from like fifth grade on. Yeah, it probably would have helped me out if they caught it earlier. If they would have caught it earlier, like, open your eyes. But yeah, so you had to audition to get into CSA. So I did it. Like, I went in there for creative writing. And there was a prompt and I was given an hour. And I had to write a story based off of that prompt. So it was, the prompt was like, there's a box. What's in the box? They said anything could be in the box. The box could look like anything. It's totally up to you. So I did this like Pandora's box ass inspired story or whatever. And I had like four or five pages. And it got me accepted. Oh, from then, I got to like travel and shit with art. You said about four or five pages? Yes. Yeah, mine would have been one paragraph strong. I noticed I had time, so I knew I could add more. I had the base story written in like 20 minutes. One paragraph strong. That's how much I hated writing. But my gee, five pages? Yeah, you definitely got accepted. So I got in there. And oh, this is going to get emotional. Yikes, I forgot about this. Anyway, got to travel to like the ass crack of Ohio. I don't mean ass crack, like it was an ass crack place. But it was like super south. It was Chillicothe. That's like two hours south of Columbus. And there was a reader's festival. It was like a storyteller's festival. And that's where I met Carmen Diaz. And she's the one who kind of taught me how to tell stories. So with like, with your art. Like if you wanted to tell stories via like your poetry and shit like that. She told amazing stories. And she came from like a Cuban perspective. So it was nice to have like another Latin on stage and be like, oh shit. Hence why he is leading this. Leading? Yes. I inspired you to tell a story that lasted at least 20 minutes. A story about a fuckboy. A story about a fuckboy. A story nonetheless. This is true. Oh wait, no, not Carmen Diaz. Carmen Didi. Carmen Didi. I was thinking of an actress. Why? Carmen Didi. Not Carmen Sandiego. Okay, because where in the world is? But yeah, she told stories. She told fucking stories. And that inspired my work. And in sophomore year was when I started to compete in those poetry slams at the playoffs. To try to get on the team. Ooh, I didn't make it at 16. And ooh, I didn't make it at 17. And if you look at my tagged page, the journal entries. I'm sorry. Your what page? Tagged. One more time for the people. A-G-G-E-D. For those who do not know what tagged is. Don't do me. Imagine if he said MySpace. That's just about how old tagged is. I was on tagged before MySpace. Dude. Tagged is still around. But it doesn't look anything like it did when I was on it. This is true. Neither does, oh God. What was one of the first gay websites I was on? It was like Black City, Black People Meet. It was something. And living. We've grown from that point. Yeah, now we're on fucking Grindr. Tinder. How we living on Grindr? I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. How we living on Grindr? You know what? Let's get back to this. We'll come back to that. Okay, you can come back to it if you want to. Yeah, audition. Got in. Was in creative writing for three years. Competed. Made the slam team. Traveled, which was nice to travel off my art. And then I tried to enter something called the New Play and Poetry Festival. Which was, you guessed it. A festival of new plays and poetry. But the cool thing about this was that it took place at the Cleveland Playhouse. The one that was on the east side in the historic building. I was about to say the original. Yes, the original. You know, exactly, exactly. Have you been inside? I have. Okay, so do you remember the Brick Theater? That's where the New Play Festival took place. Okay. I've been to that festival since my sophomore year. Which was great. But I tried to get a play accepted. And my senior year, I was like, fuck it. I'm going to switch majors. And I'm going to get this first-hand experience about playwriting. And I'm going to get my play accepted and produced at the Playhouse. So I switched to theater. And that's when I get to work with Dr. Miller. Shit. We're here. Yeah. So I had to audition to get in. So I think I'm doing some partnered scene from some Shakespeare shit. And I don't know how it was, but I got accepted. And I was able to transfer majors. You still had to audition internally to transfer majors. So yeah, I did that. And then senior year was full of a bunch of different shit. They had musical theater. They had traditional plays. They had playwriting. They had lighting and production. They had everything that year. And he taught me everything. For those of you who are wondering why he is currently getting silent, he is having a moment. He is having a moment. We lost Mr. Miller not long ago here. So this is going to be a little bit difficult. Yeah, everything about plays. Everything you need to know about being on stage. And then introduce me to some other dope people like Nina Domaine Glover, who is luckily still here. And Outwardly Queer, which is great. Love it for her. Yes, but Dr. Miller was always like, Scott! He was always sharing parts of his education in fucking London. Which, of course, that's where a fucking actor goes. Just sharing those experiences with us. The way that he could switch from just having a conversation to getting into character was like, how the fuck do you do that? Where do you find that? Where does that come from? And that's what he would try to teach to other people. My high school experience was largely unbothered because I was good at my art. And nobody bothered me. And then my senior year, my play was, in fact, accepted into the New Play Festival. And I was able to direct it, cast it, direct it, produce it. All at the age of 18. And that kind of set the stage for me wanting to do what I'm doing now, which is this non-profit shit. Like starting one. My man making moves, sir. I'm trying to. Filing fees suck. How long have we been trying to get you to start this process? Wait, hold on. I don't know how long y'all have been trying to make me start it. I know how long I've been ready to start it. But how long y'all been trying to get me to start this? Wait a minute, what you talking about? When did you think I should have started it? When did you start believing this? I believe I told you you should have started it, or you should start trying to start it a few years ago. Probably about three or four years ago now at this point. I can guarantee you it was before you left 12. Yeah, and I didn't think that was going to be necessary. But you still did suggest it. So fine. So fine. Whatever. Fine. It's fine. Wait, side note. You know how we think we're through a majority of this bottle? We're not. No, yeah, I know. We are going to have to go get some more stuff. Should we make a run after this? Yeah. We can do that because we're coming up on an hour and a half. We should wrap it up here. And then I can put this into chunks. I'll do the little Mario coin thing in between. What's the next subject? To wrap up? When we come back to the next... What's the next subject we're going to talk about? Oh, you want to come back to this? We can. I want to talk about our exposure to media and games. Our exposure. Yes. Okay. From your first time that you remember using the Internet to your first video game. Brr. Brr. Brr. AOA. Version 7.0. Net Zero. Yo! You remember WebOS? The shit that played on your TV and you had a keyboard for? Yes, I do. You ain't going out old, me motherfucker. You remember Singular? Yes. That was before Sprint. You remember Rebel? Of course I do. You remember the original Razor? Yes, I do. Yo, the LG Chocolate? Them music playing little flip dildos? You ready? You remember having a pager? Wait, what? You remember having a two-way pager? Ooh. Okay, with the little keyboard? That's what my mom knew to pick me up. Do you know that I was in a choir when I was in 8th grade? Do you also know how I was in choir? Wow. Why are our lives so similar? Do you also know that I almost cussed out my choir director? I don't have that same experience. I almost went to Europe. My choir director, who was black, mind you, tried to cuss me out. For what? For coming to a performance with my hair picked out in the afro. Girl, goodnight! Do you know, we went out to go do this performance and she pulled me to the side in front of the entire choir and said, You know we're performing. Why the fuck would you come in here with this hair picked out like that? This is so unprofessional. I said, bitch, this is so black. It is? What's unprofessional about your natural ass hair? First of all, it's combed out, picked out. It's clean. You can't say shit about it. It's giving you ludicrous. It literally was. It was that long. That's what I imagined in my head. It was sheened out. It was clean. It was smooth. It was evened out because I had just got it cut. Hey Kev, bring the fro back. Nah. Next hairstyle. When you're done with the protective style, you get a fade before you do the afro again, huh? It's too much upkeep. Is it? I'm sure it is. Oh my God. I'm absolutely sure it is. The protective styles, I'm sure, are easier to maintain. They just take longer to install. You know that fro? How long did that take to figure out? You sleep on it? Oh my God. That next morning? Picking that shit out. Getting that shit even. Washing all that good shit. Oh my God. It's terrible. I love my afro though. I do. But the upkeep of it was like a no. Nah, that takes time in the bathroom trying to get that shit perfect and all the way together. The only hair I've ever had to worry about is the one on my face. That's fair. Because me letting my hair grow out? No. No. No. Absolutely not. It is thick and unruly. I don't want to deal with it. I used to deal with it by flicking it back and that shit looked cool. But I'm in my 30s and it's 2023. I don't think that style is going to work anymore. So the most I'm going to give you is a good dye job. Give you a blonde moment which I love to do. I want to get it done. I want like Karina, my barber. Shout out. I want her to like color my hair. But it costs money. Oh shit. Oh, okay. And same note. I would not have my hair unless my cousin maintained it and I've already told her if you don't keep up I'm going to cut it. Yeah, I'm going to cut this shit. Especially right now in the summer. Kev, I'm not going to lie to you. Mad homo. You look good with a fade. I know. You look sexy with a fade. You really do. You know you do. That's why you're smiling. I keep good fade but I've always liked my hair. My hair would be a lot longer if I wouldn't have cut it when I was in high school. And I regretted cutting it ever since that day. I've always messed my hair. As you should. I like when you got it all like braided back and shit. That's one of my favorite looks. Like I love that. And that's usually how she does the locks and then she braids it up and gets it straight back and I took that shit all the way out. And we just got to get it redone at some point. Oh, best believe by this Friday we're going to be getting this shit twisted. Ain't that today? No, by this next Friday. I ain't going to get it done tomorrow. But it will be getting done this upcoming week. By the way, I am available but could I still roll with you? To get my hair done? Not to get your hair done. Oh, you're talking about the boat? You're talking about my bowling? Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm too broke to drink. Okay. Okay. I'm going to take a sip of your drink. It's alright. You know I hate to go places where I don't drive to because then I got to be on something else's schedule. So that's how you know I love you. So wait, how's that going to work? Do I got to like meet up with you? You be able to scoop me? So I don't got to move the whip? Figure it out. Figure it out. Figure it out. Figure it out. You ever figure it out on Nickelodeon? Like they had like it was on the brain thing? So there was like a brain and then it like had a blank box and there were like clues and shit. And they had like celebrity guests and shit. Okay, okay. And Legends of the Hidden Temple? Yep, that was my show. Okay, okay. See now we going into Nickelodeon and shit. Wait a minute, wait a minute. What was the one with like the splat? The splat. Think about it. No. It was like a Jeopardy style game but Nickelodeon. You know what I'm talking about. I do, I can't remember the splat. They didn't get it right. They got like splat. Yeah, yeah. I can't remember the name of it. Wait a minute, hold on. I'm going to do a fresh Googs. Let's see. Now you got me thinking about these conspiracies for Nickelodeon shit. Just recently heard another one about fucking Rugrats. How all of the fucking Rugrats were actually dead and then they were all fixed. Was it Slime Time Live? Yes, that is it. Or was it Double Dare? No, it was Slime Time Live. Slime Time Live. I remember Double Dare. I remember Double Dare. Okay, about the Rugrats though, like yo, chill. I've heard so many conspiracy theories. And look, we're running past the point we said we were going to pause. But tell the story. It was just a theory that all of them were dead and a part of Angelica's imagination. Oh, I'm nauseous. That's why Mr. Pickles was always making toys for his son had passed because he didn't have a kid. Phil and Lil were a part of her imagination because they died in the womb and they can never figure out if it was a boy or a girl. Shut your horn mouth. Tommy, I'm sorry, Chucky died in some accident. That's why his father was always anxious. Where the fuck did you see this? I can't even remember, bro. It tripped me out. I'm like, are you fucking kidding me? Ruined my whole childhood. Ruined it. Ruined. Ruined. So, side note, where do we need to go? Just in the store. Just grab like some Pepsi or Coke or something. Oh, oh, we just need to grab Pepsi or Coke? Oh, that's easy. Yeah. Let's go do that.
