Nothing to say, yet
Before I sit down today, I'm going to ask Barbara if she will come join me for just a moment. We have a very special prayer request that we would like for you all to pray for until the middle of July. Now, after the middle of July, you can keep on praying. But we want you to pray until the middle of July. I'm going to let Barbara help me tell you the story. Our granddaughter, Haley Robinson, in Birmingham, Alabama, is pregnant with twin girls. Twin girls. And the babies appear to be doing well. They're moving about. They're moving already. Haley's seen their little hands, and she's exacted pictures of their hands and feet. And the doctor told them a week ago that one of the baby girls is having a heart incident. One of them appears the valves in her heart have developed well. The other one, it appears, is having an incident with the valves in her heart. Of course, he told us, he said, the valves are about the size of a black... I mean, the heart right now is about the size of a black eyed pea. And so it's amazing what they can do. So maybe you take it from there. Tell them what you found out. Barbara: We're just asking you to pray. That's all we can do. And we know that God is in control. We know God doesn't make mistakes. And some of you here have been there. And you know where we're walking. And we just ask that you pray for the babies. And you also pray for Haley and Zach. This is a tough time for them, but they're being big. And we're trying to be the kind of great-grandparents to let them make their decisions, but to lift them up. Because Zach and I are claiming that this is all going to be God's plan. And they're going to come and say, it was fine. It was fine. So one baby is... And these are baby babies. These are weeks in pregnancy. One baby, they're moving. Haley can't see or feel them yet. But by testing, they can find... They're two little girls. And it's difficult. I'm sorry. And we don't know why God has done this, but it's okay. I mean, we keep saying, you know, Lord, you're in control. And whenever we get, it's okay. But we just need prayer. The kids need prayer, and we need prayer. And we just need understanding. We haven't told anybody before we told you all today. We've known about four or five days, but we didn't... It's been hard, but it's okay. But we wanted to tell everybody at one time that the kids are going to be fine. We're going to have a baby. And whatever God's plan is, we're going to accept it. Jack: Okay. Thank you, sweetheart. And I've asked Brother Jimmy if he would just come in and pray. The thing is turning around a little bit. And I'm asking him to pray for the babies. And pray for Haley and for Zach. His name is Zachariah, by the way. And he goes by Zach. And so I'm going to ask Brother Jim to pray. And you all pray. And we're going to continue to pray until we tell you that it's born in July. And we'll let you know what we have when the baby comes. It could come on Barbara and my anniversary in July. Wouldn't that be wonderful? Okay. Brother Jim? All right. Jimmy: About 15 years ago, I had meningitis. And one guy sent me a card and made a strange statement. He said, how can I do less for you than pray? I never had thought about that. But the point is the best thing we can do is to pray. So let's pray. Father, thank you that you hear our prayers. And you've adopted us into your family. And you've presided over our lives. And we thank you for that. We're confident that nothing comes in our lives that you don't approve. So we thank you for what you're doing. We pray especially for Haley and for Zach and for the babies in the womb. And just pray that you do your miracle as a great physician to touch their bodies and let the birth be natural and normal and everyone, both be fine. And so we lift them to you and trust them in your hands. We know they're in good hands. And so we thank you. Bless them. Bless Zach and Haley. And give them comfort and strength through this time. Zach and Barbara, give them grace and comfort. And we just thank you for the privilege of sharing this moment with them through prayer. In Jesus' name, amen. Jack: Amen. Amen. Thank you, sir. Thank you, Robert. Thank you all. Thank you all for sharing that moment with us. And continue to pray with us. We thank you for doing that. We have people praying all across the world and around the world. Seminary families praying. As of yesterday. They didn't know about it until yesterday. They won't know about it until Monday when they get back. And so we want to thank you. Thank you.
