Mr. Florentine made some changes to the data spreadsheet for Lesson 7-7. He adjusted the point value and the number of students. The class scored 39% on the pre-assessment and 87% on the post-test. The expected point value was 175, but they got 152 points. This shows a growth of 1.23%. The comparison chart and graphs show that all 25 students improved their scores. Mr. Florentine is proud of the results. Hello, this is Mr. Florentine. This is my Lesson 7-7, Analyze Linear Equations Data Spreadsheet. Let me start off with my slight changes that I made to the spreadsheet. From the directions, I adjusted the total point value from 20 to seven, since I only had seven questions in my pre-assessment. And the total students in my classroom, it went from 34 down to 25, since this is my seventh grade accelerated math class. Now we have 25 students. The first attempt to the pre-assessment, they scored as a class average, as a seven point value, they scored 2.72 points on the pre-assessment, which gives them a 39%, if you wanna look at it as a percentage class average out of 100. The expected points that, if they were to score a perfect score on it, would be 175 amongst all students. But we got an actual point value of 68 out of 175. After teaching the lesson, done lots enough with video and doing practice, their own self-paced time, they took the post-test as exactly the same as the pre-assessments, to give them another chance to see how much they learned. They scored a average of 6.08 out of seven. And that is a class average at 87% out of 100. Again, the expected point value, to say if they won't get a perfect score on it, is just 175. But we got a point value of 152 points out of 175. So that is a bigger growth from 68 points to 152 points. Has showed an improvement of 1.23%. That is the class average percentage growth and improvement. Now looking at the academic improvement chart, we have, again, I showed the formative average is 39% out of 100, and the summative performance is 87% out of 100, and they improved by 1.23. And I wanna move over to the comparison chart. I decided to use two different column graphs, one being vertical, one being horizontal, to really represent and visualize the growth of each student, again, out of 100 point, their percentage value. It shows what their prior and post-assessment scores is, blue being the pre, red showing the post. And looking at both, all three graphs, because I have two that are column graphs, and then one being a scattered plot, it really shows that every student has shown improvement amongst all the 25 students that have taken the assessment. So it's a great representation, great visualization of the assessments. My class did an excellent job showing growth, and I am proud of the results.
