Students will learn about different habitats and create snow globes to represent them. They will also play an online game to create habitats. Studying habitats promotes critical thinking, appreciation for nature, and environmental awareness. It allows children to interact with plants and animals and understand the natural world. It also encourages conservation and outdoor activities for physical and emotional development. For this lesson, students will be learning about four different habitats. I will assign students four options and make them into even groups. The four options are sea, forest, arctic, and desert. Students will then get a picture of an empty snow globe and they will decorate it accordingly to those options. I'll have different objects like fake grass, fake snow, stickers, glitter, paper, and other things for the children to decorate. After they are done decorating their snow globes, they will play a habitat creating game online. Habitats are essential for children's learning and development, providing hands-on experience in nature, critical thinking, appreciation for nature, and environmental awareness. Children can observe, touch, and interact with plants and animals, enhancing their understanding of the natural world.
