The speaker wonders why someone would fight against the truth and suggests that they may be searching for God. They point out that as time goes on, the person is distancing themselves from what they truly need in life. The more they ignore it, the harder it becomes to avoid. The speaker asks if the person wants to grow up or continue living in a cruel world where they are responsible for their own failures. They argue that it's not about what the person wasn't taught, but rather about procrastination and being able to see the bigger picture. The speaker also mentions frustration with certain words and reluctance to let go of certain things. You have to ask yourself, why are you really fighting against the truth? I think you're searching for the truth. I think you're ultimately searching for God. Do you absolutely see bits and pieces of what is going on? You are only getting older and farther away from the things you truly need in your life and have been scared to embrace. As you currently see, the more you look away and close your ears to it, the more of an awkward battle it becomes as you understand there is no going around it. Do you wish to grow up or maintain the facade of Peter Pan in an ever increasingly cruel world where you cannot blame no one but yourself for your shortcomings? It doesn't come down to what you were not taught. It comes down to procrastination and can you see the forest through the breeze? What is it about her words that actually frustrates our anguish? Therein lies the true problem with several things you are repeatedly reluctant to move away from.
