Jonesy initially felt terrified when she first walked into the radio station, but later found it to be a calm and enjoyable experience. Being on the radio has boosted her confidence. Jonesy and Ethan invite new people to come back to the station. They discuss topics beyond sports that matter to them, such as community issues. They believe that sports can bring people together and promote unity. Jonesy talks about her experience in basketball and a year 10 production of Rapunzel. She learned the importance of makeup and had fun playing a loopy character. They joke about interesting characters in theater. They decide to play a song. you've been on here for a while Jonesy, what did you think the first time you walked in here? I probably asked you that before but I'll ask you again. So I was definitely terrified at first because I was just like oh my gosh I'm on the radio I don't know what to do like I was just really scared at first but then like when I actually got into the room like it was it was like very calm and stuff like that and then like during music breaks I'll get these messages from some of my friends and they'd be like oh my gosh Jonesy you're doing so good on the radio like what you're on the radio no way yeah yeah ever since being on the radio and it's definitely built up my confidence a lot that's fantastic and so it's good get a couple new people in today and they might even have a bit more potential in the future isn't that right? Yes exactly if you guys do want to come back just like send me and Ethan a text yes and Connor so you know what sort of topics matter a lot to you in life like beyond sport like why do you do what's your like views on the local community or anything like that like how do you feel about it at the moment and what do you want to do you have like a second ambition like is there something of studying? The community around where just around Western Australia or Fremantle as a whole? What like what you know community issues are you passionate about and how do you think sport can make a difference in life? Well sport brings people together as a hobby as a passion as a following we all have those friends who play sport who also meet people who play sport as well and they get together and as a community that's what you want you want togetherness you want everyone you know all join hands and scream your hurrahs yeah but beyond sport yes socially like there's no reason for people to be giving like missed glances at other people like as a community we're all supposed to be one right? Yeah exactly like we're all supposed to like listen to each other and all and like yeah communication that's key. Communication is yes exactly. Like do you do much leadership in sport like you were you like a team captain ever? Yeah yeah no um when I played I played basketball at Willerton in 2021. Willerton Tigers? I didn't play Willerton Senior High School yeah? No um I did domestic I think at Willerton and that year we won the championship but I couldn't play in it because we did the production and it was on the same day. What production did you do? A year 10 production it was a Rapunzel and Cut. Oh yeah that was an interesting. That was a hell of an experience. What did you learn from that experience? Well I learned that um makeup is very important when it comes to like an old character yeah because I played as a grandma and I and I wanted to like make something funny out of it so I asked if I could use a hockey stick as a walking stick and I fought to have the hockey stick as a walking stick. Sorry about that. Brilliant. Well we always we always have interesting things that happen in the theatre isn't that right like you know there's also there's always these little characters that I always build like really there's always the one loopy character in every film. Oh there is always that one loopy character I think it was you as a grandma. Okay thank you Connor. I think I was also a loopy character as the prince. Yeah very egotistical in my opinion. As the prince or just in general? Either or take it or leave it. I'm taking it. You can't take it, you can't insult other people. Oh no this is all just joking. I know. Alright should we play a song? Yeah we should.
