The Church of the Foursquare Gospel was founded by Aimee Semple McPherson in 1923 in the USA. She had a vision of four aspects of the Gospel represented by a square: Jesus Christ as Savior, Baptizer with the Holy Spirit, Divine Healer, and Coming King. Based on this vision, she established the Church with an emphasis on preaching the Gospel, divine healing, evangelism, and discipleship. The Church quickly grew and spread to other countries, including Brazil. A Igreja do Evangelho Quadrangular foi fundada por Aimee Simple MacPherson em 1923, nos EUA. Ela teve uma visão de quatro aspectos do Evangelho representados por um quadrado. Jesus Cristo como Salvador, Batizador com o Espírito Santo, Médico Divino e Rei Vindouro. A partir dessa visão, ela estabeleceu a Igreja com ênfase na pregação do Evangelho, cura divina, evangelização e discipulado. A Igreja cresceu rapidamente e se espalhou para outros países, incluindo o Brasil.
