The speaker expresses shock and disappointment that Trump was reelected as president. They discuss the global impact of this decision and criticize Americans for being uninformed and brainwashed. The speaker also mentions their personal experiences in the US during the George W. Bush years and the limited access to international news. They highlight the diligent journalism of Rachel Maddow and mention her reporting on Russia's involvement in Ukraine. The speaker expresses frustration that despite Trump's controversies and scandals, people still voted for him. They draw a parallel to Germany falling for Hitler and express sadness as someone from Germany. I'm going to play a little bit of this song, and then I'm going to play a little bit of Hi there, I want to again speak a little bit, instead of writing a massive stupid long blog post, I'm so tired of writing. Like everyone in the world, I guess, or anyone with common sense in the world, I am shocked, deeply shocked, that Trump is going to be president again. I mean, even the first time around it was very hard to say, to refer to him as president. It's kind of the biggest joke in history. I mean, I'm not American, and people say, why would you care? I was like, well, if you don't understand history, if you don't understand global issues, and how global connected everything is, then I mean, the joke's on you. I went to get some milk and a little bit of food and stuff yesterday in a little shop, local shop, and there was a security guard there, a really nice guy, he's from Poland, and we always have a little chat, or we high five or whatever we do, and we just have a little chat, and I just said to him, I just said, Trump, can you believe it? And he said, what? I was like, you know, Trump. And he didn't even check the news or anything, this was yesterday, this was hours after the election. And I was kind of, not just shocked, a little bit angry to see him say something. He said, well, I'm here in England. I said, yeah, but don't you understand? I mean, you're from Poland, here you are right next to Ukraine, and you are right next to my country, Trump is going to hand the Ukraine over to Putin. And he said, well, I'm here. And then just this indifference to these events, and you think, oh, wow, this is how we get here, you know? But, yeah, I can understand. I mean, the first time around, many of us, and I remember my mom always being shocked that Trump was president, and she would always say to me, she would read all these books, and she would say to me, oh, Putin is a killer, Putin is a murderer, Putin is a murderer. This was before, this was like 2015, 2016, you know, before Ukraine. I mean, well, Ukraine was already attacked, but, I mean, before the full-on war. But, I mean, she is not alive anymore, and she would be alive and would like, just shake her head as well, what's going on. But the first time around, 2016, and we were all as well like, what the heck is with this Trump? Why are people, I mean, of course, they say the Russians interfered, which, what makes us think they didn't interfere this time as well? I mean, how, I mean, looking at the map during the election two days ago, it was completely red, so to speak, and most of it, like someone's face having measles. I mean, Americans having measles right now for the next four years. And in 2016, I can understand when people were kind of like fooled, you know. You still could think, okay, I can understand, especially people in America. And those in America who listen to me, please forgive me, but many people in America, you guys are not educated, I'm sorry, you are not educated. You are brainwashed from babyhood on, from childhood on, that America is the center of the universe and you're the best people in the world. And that's simply not true. I mean, sure, most powerful country in the world, sure. That's why everyone is shocked that you have this fascist piece of work in power now. And everybody is like gulping, what's next? And even so, don't be intimidated, you know. But I remember when I lived in the States, and I lived between 2000 and 2006, doing the George W. Bush years, doing 9-11 and doing all that kind of stuff. In the deep South, you can't get any more South than that. And I remember the Internet was just kind of still newish, and I just had my e-mail address newish, and I was with Yahoo. And Yahoo in those days, I don't know if they still do it, I have to check it, but Yahoo in those days had these really great pages. When you logged into your e-mail, you also could set up like a news page. So you could choose, for example, I get my news from CNN, and then I get my news from BBC, and I get my news from the German, and then from the British, and from this. And this is what I did. I signed up to different news. And this was my only kind of window to the world while I lived in the States. Because when you live in the States, well, being in the South, the Americans I lived with, of course, they had watched all Fox News. And in those days, it wasn't as horrible as it is now. You know, Trump's vehicle for propaganda. That has totally turned into, but I remember watching ABC News, and I don't know if it still exists, I think it probably does, but it was like, what was it, World News. This is the ABC World News. And the only thing you saw, those were in the days after 9-11, especially Afghanistan, Iraq, all that kind of stuff. The ABC World News. And all that was in those news was that only talked about American news, Afghanistan, Iraq, and that was that. So I got my news from my Yahoo page. So when I logged into my Yahoo email, and I got notified of a certain news or something, this is how I got my news from Germany, from Britain, from other places, other happenings in the world that other places reported on. But everything else is, in America, you are blinded. You have these blind things on where you only see, hear from American news, and then what it is at the moment. Like in those days it was Afghanistan and Iraq, so I don't know. You tell me what it is now. And that was that. So fast forward to 2024. I shouldn't be surprised because the news again, and if people are in the rural areas only stuck on Fox News, or now stuck on Twitter where this Elon Musk guy is running the show, and he decides what's the news, so to speak. And I know that no one is perfect. MSNBC, CNN, all these people, they are not perfect either. They are not, you know. But this one investigative journalist, Rachel Maddow, MSNBC, and you think extremely diligent journalism, and she always comes up with stories and with historical things that she discovers and reports about. And even recently she was reporting, I think it was on the 5th, either on the 4th of November or the 5th on the day of the election, I can't remember, where she was, at the moment, maybe just during Monday, she used to do Monday to Friday, and she was basically saying to everybody, guys, I know you feel like celebrating because everyone, including myself, was predicting that Harris was going to win in a landslide, so to speak, or even if it was, even though Harris kept saying it's going to be tight, and I predicted she was going to win, but Rachel Maddow saying to the viewers, I know you feel like getting a drink and getting whatever, either way, either a drink for celebration or a drink for devastation or whatever, but don't do that, basically stay focused. And she talked about Elon Musk, I think this was on the 4th or on the 5th of November, I have to check it, I can't remember, she said Elon Musk, he's over the whole rocket stuff and this thing called Starlink, it's a communication, I think a satellite thing or whatever, and somehow she got wind of, because people leak things to her all the time, that Putin or Russia has basically asked Elon Musk to cut the communication, the Starlink communication over Ukraine. And she also reported, what no one reports about, no one reports about this, she also said that North Korea has sent troops to Ukraine in support for Putin. No one is reporting about this. I haven't seen this on the BBC, I haven't seen this on the Guardian or the Times, I haven't seen this, I don't know, even in the German, so this was literally on the day of the election, of course everyone was distracted in the election, and within 100 days, 100, 506 days, Kamala Harris pulling off, and not just her of course, her and her team and people, pulling off this unbelievable rallies, non-stop, every day, and she worked her butt off, she and her team and everybody else and people, what was it, 90,000 volunteers, and it still wasn't enough, and it's like, and Russia wasn't involved again, no, you sure about that? But more than half the country of the US is literally now, I mean, in 2016, like I said, you can have an excuse, you can still be fooled in 2016, get it, get it, absolutely get it. But now, when he is a convicted felon, and all the other stuff, the porn star affair, the whole, I mean, even days before the election, Jeffrey Epstein tapes came out, where Jeffrey Epstein called him one of his best friends, that Trump had sex with underaged girls and all that kind of stuff, and all the other, the secret documents, and the stuff he flushed down the toilets, the Mueller report, the, what's the other guy, Jack Smith, and all these other things, and people still vote for this guy. The misogyny, the racism, it's like you have, I've seen already on YouTube from other people, from like podcasters saying, you asked for this, you're going to get it, I mean, you're going to get what you asked for. And as someone from Germany, it's heartbreaking to see, like, I have been asked a few times while I lived in America, and I lived there almost 60 years, and I've visited many times, the first time I was three months in Los Angeles, during the Rodney King riots of all events, and then later, like, I don't know, 10, 15 years later, like about two months in Florida, and then traveled several times for two, three weeks, for 10 days, and then lived almost 60, so I was there many, many, many, many times. And also have American friends, you know, met people here in Europe, and grew up in Germany with an American base. I actually lived close to where Elvis Presley was stationed when he was in Germany. Like a few kilometers away. So the area where I used to live in Germany was the American military. Anyway, but when in the States, I was asked a few times by different people at different times, like, how, how, how come, like, what, why did Germany fall for Hitler? And, you know, I didn't, still don't have the answer, I mean, there's many, many things that fall into play, you know, of course, especially not long after World War I and all kinds of stuff, so there's a lot of things that fall into place, but I'd like to return that question to the Americans now. I mean, Trump is not Hitler, he's more a Mussolini type. The Italian Mussolini. Mussolini was infatuated with Hitler. He even copied a few things from the military, like that weird walk that the German soldiers did, the Wehrmacht, that, you call it a Stichlauf, how do you call it, like the way the military walked, kind of. Mussolini, in Italy, he copied that. So, Mussolini was more, like, infatuated with Hitler, and Trump is infatuated with Putin, with North Korea, shabby bloke over there. But, okay, sorry, this was not an aim at people with overweight, I used to be overweight, but this guy looks like a baby, these people are in charge of countries here. So, Trump is infatuated with Putin, like Mussolini was infatuated with Hitler. So, Trump, to me, is more a Mussolini type, not really a Hitler type. But, I'd like to return that question now to an American, guys. Hey, talk to me, what happened? Where have you been the last four years, or the last eight years, rather? Where have you been when he was convicted? And, what I'm thinking, as well, is America, the system, first of all, is screwed, anyway, but are you guys run by a bunch of cowards? The judge who postponed the sentencing for Trump, until after the election, so that he's not going to get criticized, I guess. Supposedly, you know, where is the courage? Where is the courage? This guy has been convicted, so what you have to do the next thing is you have to sentence him, and you have to just fucking do it, excuse me. And he is still, he is still a private citizen now, until, when is inauguration next year? On the 20th or something? January? I don't know the date exactly, but, he is now, for the next two and a half months, still a private citizen. Is he still going to get sentenced? What's happening now? And the other screwed up system in America, if you are a convicted criminal, a convicted felon, especially if you are in prison, you cannot vote. That is a right that is wrong, by the way. This is why they incarcerated so many black people, to take their votes away. They incarcerated black people all these years for small little things, Mariana or something like that, and put them in prison for 15, 20 years or something like that. And took their voting rights away. And yet, you can be a convicted felon and become president? With a nuclear code as well. Wow. And then not to mention the corrupt Supreme Court. I mean, Putin must be having an absolute blast right now. He must be sitting there watching this. And it's Christmas and birthday for him altogether. But for some reason, and I don't know why, I am not scared. I mean, I am absolutely worried and scared for the women in America now. Foreigners. It doesn't matter if they are legal or illegal. Yeah. Ukraine. And to hear this Polish, nice guy, very nice guy, Polish security guy, yesterday being indifferent and doesn't really care. I thought, oh wow, you are, I mean... And we have a new Tory leader, which, I mean, the good news is he is a black woman, that's the first, which is fantastic. And I have to give it to the Tory party. They have a lot of black and Asian people there, compared to the Labour Party. But she already, in question time, Prime Minister Kirstein, she already basically asked him, OK, Mr. Prime Minister, how about getting Trump over here to speak in Parliament? Excuse me? So the Tory party already pumped up and they want to get Trump over here. And Kirstein answered very well, of course. Kirstein is a prostitute as well, like Kamala Harris is. And he just said, you know, he just basically said diplomatically something along the lines, yeah, we are looking forward to working together with our allies, blah, blah, blah, I like the political talk, but he did not confirm, no, that Trump is speaking in Parliament. So I don't know, I mean, I don't know why, I have a, either I'm really, what's it called, you know, when people go through trauma, they disassociate themselves from something, either I'm dissociating myself and am in denial, or I feel a weird hope and I don't know why. And maybe it is, and I predicted, you know, I did the same prediction, oh, Kamala Harris is going to win, Kamala, and I wrote to American friends, she's going to win, be proud of yourself, and wrote that shit, excuse me guys. And I remember thinking, and I still think that for some reason, I thought, you guys, when Americans, if you're Americans who are listening to me, you guys, when you make a mistake, you make a massive, big mistake. But you don't make that mistake twice. But here we are, here we are. Not just that you made that mistake twice, but you made that mistake with even full, more full-on information on this guy. And this time you have no excuse. I can excuse 2016, and even 2020, kind of, but now I cannot excuse it anymore, but for some reason I have a weird hope that there might be some kind of twist of events, unless I'm in complete denial and think, and think, nah. And maybe, maybe the Americans need to get this massive shake, and the dark shit that is about, that's coming the next four years and beyond, to wake up that you are not the biggest and the greatest and the center of the universe, and that maybe you need to humble yourself for a change, to realize, yeah, we have the biggest, the greatest democracy, but even we, we can mess up this time as well. And you mess up anyway, you mess up many times, like everybody messes up. And so to those Americans who asked me years ago, why did Germany fall for Hitler? Well, I'm going to return that question now. Seeing Trump more as a Mussolini guy, not so much a Hitler, to be honest. But for some reason I have a weird, kind of a weird hope, like a, not, not, not hope, is that the right word? Confidence, like a, it's like, no, no, no, no, this cannot be it, this cannot be it. And Kamala Harris and everybody, and even Biden, I think, played too many, too much of a nice guy, to be honest. I mean, Biden now fixed a lot of things in America, infrastructure, the medical stuff for the seniors, starting with the seniors, which is fantastic, putting the medical bills down, amazing stuff with the student loan, forgiveness, and many other things, and of course Trump is going to take on and inherit these improvements, and he's going to run it down to the ground again. And whoever comes back four years, has to clean up again, after this little talk now. Is this a comedy? What's going on? But my question really is like, is the state system run by cowards? Who was this judge who postponed the sentencing? Was that, by the way, was that the same judge who kept giving Donald Trump another chance, and another chance, I think about 11, 12 times, when Trump broke the gag order, the judge imposed. I actually asked another judge about this, another American judge, how many times would you give a chance to someone who's breaking the gag order, how many times would you give a chance to someone who's breaking the gag order, and the person said, only once. Which is fair, it's fair enough. It's important to have fair judges, totally important. Someone breaks the gag order, you give them one chance, one chance, and that's it. The gag order is a very, very serious thing. And he broke it, what, a dozen times? Nobody got away with it? And the judge justified the decision of letting him get off the hook with saying, basically, like, if he has to imprison Trump, he would also intend to inconvenience the security guards, because every former president still has security, basically, for the rest of their lives. And then the security guards have to also go to prison, basically, to look after Trump. That was his excuse. Where are the judges, where are the people with guts? And this is the thing that I had to learn the hard way with Pratt, when I was bullied in Pratt, during bereavement, which almost cost me my life, I had to learn the hard way that you have to confront a bully full on. You can't play Mr. Nice Guy. And Trump is a lot of things, and he certainly also is a bully. And you have to confront these people full on. You have to, they should have, would have had to confront Putin full on. Now we have them, now we have North Korean troops in Ukraine. Wonderful, applause everybody. Wonderful. And you have now a chief in a few months in place, who loves North Korea, who loves Putin. And Europe is the new little proxy war, the new little place where these three lunatics and more, and China is also not there, are going to flex their muscles, and Europe is going to be the battleground, I guess. And the Polish security guys can't be bothered. Electing Trump in 2024, those who did elect him, you guys have no excuse now. Absolutely no excuse. You have history, you have full on history. You have, sure you have, many are stuck with Fox News, but you know, who's hindering you from switching your flipping channel? Or just bowing to algorithms of news being fed on what you click? So you've got Elon Musk, the richest guy in the world, pumping money into this Trump situation, and then you had days before that, you had Joe Rogan interviewing Trump for two, three hours. Joe Rogan is the biggest podcast in the world. So that gave him another boost. And for people blaming Kamala, because she supposedly, or you know, she was asked, you know, what would you make different to the Biden policies, for example, and she didn't really answer that question. Well, I don't blame her for not answering the question. For one, of course, she's loyal to Biden. She didn't want to say, well, Biden, you know. And the other thing is, guys, she only had 100 days. She had 100 days, and she was held to such a high standard, and it was never good enough what she did. This woman, what she did, because what women always have to do, and especially women of color, what they always have to do, they have to bend 50 million times more backwards than this white dude, who is corrupt to the core, and a narcissist to the core, and he can openly and publicly spew his bullshit and his crime in front of everyone, including when he said, what did he say years ago, he can shoot someone on Fifth Avenue and still get elected. Exactly. I personally, I'm not going to play the race card, but I personally also believe that was a racist decision. That was partly a racist decision by many Americans. I'm sorry, guys. It was a racist decision, it was a decision against a woman, and you want, you know, many, many, many people have their issues, and Trump comes along as this strong man, that I'm, you know, I will fix it. Yeah, that's a dictator talk. Of course, dictators will fix things, so to speak. He's going to fix you guys. He's going to fix everyone who voted for him. For some reason, I have a weird hope, because I'm thinking, there must be another twist coming here. Come on. And there's Robert F. Kennedy as a health secretary, or whatever you call it in the States, being over health. Are you kidding me? And what did he say? And what did he say? I think he's going to keep his word on pardoning all the January 6th. The proud boys guy is sitting for 20 years in prison right now. He's going to be free, right? I think, and again, no offense to those Americans, especially those Americans who are very well educated and who make the effort to get their information and to learn, and who make the effort to get their information and to learn about stuff. But no offense, but you guys are not well educated. You simply are not. You just speak English. You have Canada upstairs and Mexico below, not below, but in the south. And you are constantly indoctrinated all your life that you are the greatest in the world, and everybody is bowing to you. Yeah, well, well done. Guess who's going to bow now? I don't know. I kind of have this weird hope. Germany is next to Poland, which is next to Ukraine. And even if Trump goes out of NATO again, come on, NATO guys, you are strong enough. You shouldn't, you know, everybody has to stop always relying on America, guys. And NATO, you know, I mean, NATO is stronger now, because who of the latest Sweden enters? I have a weird hope. I have a weird hope for anyone who has common sense and did not vote for Trump, and also those who did. What can I say? I do watch, I watch it more now than ever before, but Mary Trump, Mary L. Trump, the niece of Donald Trump, she has a YouTube channel and she talks with other people, with really respected journalists and other people who are basically on the hit list of Trump as well, and she needs security. She has security everywhere she goes. But she and her brother, they grew up with the Trumps. They had holidays, they spent time with the whole big Trump family, and her father was older. I think he was the oldest of the three sons, four children, but he, unfortunately, he became an alcoholic and he died and stuff. But he wanted to be an airplane pilot, and he didn't want the whole Trump business. So Donald, I think he was the next in line, basically got it all. But when Mary Trump's dad died, she was 16 and her brother was 18 or 19, so she was too young to get all the inheritance, and the Donald Trump family was looking after, and the grandparents, after her inheritance, and her and her brother's inheritance, and they stole it, they took it from her. They took it all away. And she wrote a book during the Trump presidency calling him the most dangerous man. And I just really recommend everyone, if you really want to have the insight into Trump's family and his mind, she is it. If anyone, she is it. It's very sobering to watch that stuff, better than any news, to be honest, because that's the proper information that you get. And it's really sad. It's like we're watching a really bad Hollywood epic movie. I mean, it's kind of weird to witness all these scary times, but at the same time, come on, you're Americans. You can pull yourself out of this kind of stuff. And how Trump always... I never remember that word well. Projects. He was constantly projecting. He constantly said, he talked about the enemy from within, and he is the enemy from within. He's the one. He always projects. He always... But, yeah. So there's a lot of... I am gobsmacked with all the information those Americans who did vote for him have. You have no excuse. I don't care how dumb you are. I don't care how rural you live. I'm sorry, you have no excuse. So for those who say that Kamala lost, Trump got elected because Kamala didn't go on Joe Rogan's podcast, or she didn't answer this question, or she didn't do that, while she was only in 100 days pulled off a seat. No, no, no. Trump didn't get elected because Kamala did this or that, or she didn't do this or that. No, he got elected because more than half Americans voted in a criminal. That's the only reason why he got elected. He got elected, he won, because you, if you voted for him, more than half of Americans voted in a criminal. And you can justify this with Bible verses all day long if you like to. But yeah, to my American friends, those who did not vote for this guy, I mean, I'm so sorry. And for those who did, you know, I mean, I'm not going to sugarcoat anything anymore, but I'm really disappointed. I know quite a few people who voted for Trump before, and who are even in this whole QAnon situation, and I'm thinking, man, but they're good people. I know you. You are good people. You know, you just led astray, but this time I'm just going to say I'm disappointed, and if you still voted for this guy, I am, um, ooh, yeah, I don't know. You know, you do your thing. It's your country. Why should I even care? I should be like the Polish guy. I'm here in England. Why should I give a shit? Excuse me, everybody. Sorry for that. But I'm not going to bleep anything out. Um, but this is a whole world situation now. You have... What happens these days in this society now is everything is global. Everything is connected. And not to mention that America happens to be, as still, the most powerful country in the world. Yeah. But America's also scared of Russia. And speaking about Russia and Ukraine, by the way, to those Americans who say, oh, we don't want to send any more money to Ukraine, well, excuse me, you have broken a promise. Ukraine was told in the 90s, if they give up their nukes, their nuclear stuff, and if they are getting attacked by Russia or anyone, they will be protected. Well, F you. Thank you for that broken promise. And Zelensky, this comedian guy, turning out to be this amazing, massive leader, with guts, with balls, and he's about to be handed on a silver platter to Putin. And we should pity and not care. So to those of you guys who voted for Trump, and I have to be honest, I'm disappointed, and good luck. Good luck. Unless you are like white, a little suburbia, somewhere with your big house and two cars, you're going to be fine. But all the women who are going to have miscarriages, all the foreigners, minorities, black people, Asian people, good luck. Thank you for listening. Transcription by ESO. Translation by —
