Chicago Bears 5 Week Review

Welcome to the Bears report that no one will listen to Broadcasting from Chicago I'm Matt Cohen. I'm a Bears fan and a Bears fan since 2001 When I'm in the fourth grade, they went 13 and 3 Fell in love they lost in the first round of the playoffs and they lost to the Packers twice that year That is pretty much summed up what it's been like to be a Bears fan Since that time But this podcast that no one will listen to is going to be general thoughts and feelings about the Bears the season Angry things it's basically just a journal to get my Bears thoughts out because Being a sports fans hard and being a Bears fan is especially hard. So I Want to talk about a couple of different things I Wanted to start this podcast before the season, but I didn't have a chance to As I'm lazy as folk so I Didn't but it's really a good thing because Week one is absolutely miserable another miserable loss of the Packers They seem to just come every year This one was especially bad. I felt because felt like the first time in a while that we actually had a chance I mean any time we played Rogers over the last handful of years it felt a lot like just Maybe we'll upset them any given Sunday, but they're gonna win. So when they lost it really was, you know, it sucks Says he owns us the fans talk shit, whatever. We're immune to that point. We're immune to that at this point as Bears fans It doesn't bother us. We've seen we've been through hell and we rise above it But this one was different Because well, I never thought the Bears were gonna be great this year I thought it was a much much closer Matchup than normal and I think the Vegas line agrees with that somehow the Bears are favorites that made no sense, but Speaks how much closer it was and they just got eviscerated. I mean Jordan Love was mid as could be and He threw a couple of check down Charlie's that got broken off for long touchdowns a stat line look great He had the fucking 30 seconds per pass to throw at the Bears got no pressure at all whatsoever They couldn't cover Justin Fields played I thought better than Jordan Love in the first half But the second half he was terrible through that pick six I mean the whole offense was a shit show and continued to be through The first four games and by the end of the fourth game, I mean that Broncos game good lord You know, we've really experienced Every type of horrible Bears loss you can experience this year. You've got The beat down from your division rival your arch rival the Packers then you get the national TV with Taylor Swift Beat down against the Chiefs absolute slaughter. It's a JV versus varsity game and now the Broncos game we've got the choke job and Sandwich in between all that is the Bucs game, which I guess, you know was a miserable coaching game but they're all pretty pretty miserable coaching games we can get into that but anyway So finally felt good to win on Thursday Justin Fields played his best game of his career I think it's pretty fair fair to say that and he played well against Denver, but he turned the ball over twice in the fourth quarter And just you know He's got he turns the ball over too much. Okay. I love Justin Fields I hope he's great. I Don't know if he's gonna be great. I don't know if he's gonna be good. I my support really wavered the first four weeks honestly because the only thing that really matters about the season is finding out whether or not he's the guy and Through the first four weeks. It was very clear. He was not regardless of the excuses That all these Bears hands will make for him He played Terribly it's okay to say that it's okay to say he played terribly and if we were analyzing the season off of those four games He wouldn't be the guy That's okay. Just like it's okay to say that if you're a Fields doubter He played awesome against Washington and Denver's defense was historically bad. Washington is not historically bad. It's bad You'll play a defense like that, you know five or six times a year and if you torch them the way he did That's what you want your quarterback to do So I thought it was an awesome sign DJ Morris so good he's even better than I expected People were clowning on him before the year saying he's overrated saying he's not a porn fantasy. He fucking kicks ass So that's a very one of very few bright spots And yeah, it was just nice to finally win man 14 in a row Absolutely brutal. Hopefully we never go through that again because that was just misery but But Yeah, there were a lot of bright spots and this is actually for the first time this year that I felt positive I think they can win on Sunday. I don't know that they will I Don't know that they should be favorites, but I think they can win I mean Justin Jeffers is not gonna play that's gonna make a huge difference because if he was gonna play have 200 yards minimum Our defense is awful. The Bears defense is awful and Jervon Dexter Playing. Well, he might be something if if they can find a three tech at that pic That's legitimate. That is a awesome sign for Ryan Poles. We'll get into him, too Darno right played awesome By the way also, but um, but yeah, I mean, he's a nice piece on defense to Marcus Walker's good Or to Marcus Robinson with his name Fuck I can't remember his name Oh Hold on Please hold no one's gonna listen to this. Anyway, so it doesn't matter Yeah to Marcus Walker. I knew it. I think he's a solid player. I think Andrew Billings playing awesome. Everybody knows that you know, I can gawk way is just a guy. I mean, you don't Guys are available and you can aren't that good. He's a fine piece for this terrible defense, but you know, he's nothing for the future Hey TJ Edwards and screen under exam We should have kept Roquan Smith We should the Bears should have kept Roquan Smith. They should have given him 20 million dollars. I Don't give a fuck about the scheme if your scheme Can't fit Roquan Smith your scheme sucks. He's a outstanding player great athlete If you can't find a place for me to defense your defense is trash and I don't want to fucking hear that I mean, it's the meme of the dumbass saying Roquan Smith is really good. We should keep him to the nerd Lord at the top of the bell curve saying no He doesn't fit the scheme down to the Jedi saying we should have kept Roquan Smith. He's really good That was a terrible horrible man, but I'll have to make it But anyway No, TJ Edwards train Edmonds, I I don't think of that great train Edmonds is such a guy who just You don't hear him from him all game. He doesn't do anything Like it's just I don't know. He's got to play better I'm not gonna act like I'm a fucking expert linebacker analyzer, but we'd never hear his name Jack Sanborn, he's fine, whatever And the secondary super banged up and That's bad. So my point is for the stupid rant is that the defense is terrible So they're not gonna win a lot of games and no matter how well the offense can play Even if they hit their ceiling, I think that they will win more games than they won last year But I still think we're looking at a six win team at most At most like maybe seven And that's if they catch a couple of breaks and Justin Fields really has figured this out Which again, I don't think is a guarantee at all but Offensively, they've got something cooking man. I mean a field can somehow become the guy And they have Carolina's pick. I mean even if that pick doesn't end up being number one, which I just I think They're gonna be motivated all year I think they're gonna steal some wins and I think that they won't be the number one pick I don't think the Bears will be the number one pick either But even if it's not and it's two or three or four I mean, they're gonna get the franchise level talent whether it's a tackle from Penn State Who's supposed to be really good? Marvin Harrison jr. Obviously, I would rather have another tackle I mean if you can put that dude with Darnell, right? You would be fucking cooking on the line and I love Marvin Harrison jr. But that's a luxury piece Each we have a number one receiver It would be awesome to have two legitimate number ones, especially a guy with that level of talents But if that guy from Penn State is actually legit, which the hell knows but offensive line like if that dude's actually legit and You compare Darnell right with him Don't know. All right looks really good. And it's just he looks athletic. You can see him running around. He's making blocks again I don't know dick about offensive line play really but you know, some guys just stick out and he can hold up against really good Pass rushers. He's got the size of the athleticism if he can get coached properly and stay healthy and stay motivated. He's gonna be awesome And if you could put a tackle next to him And then maybe grab somebody on defense. I think that would be an awesome draft and I think these people that are you know Marvin Harrison jr. And Caleb Williams. I think that's not gonna I don't think that's gonna happen I just think that's insane to think that would happen. But There is still a chance that we take you be and There's Bear Sands out there who don't want to hear that. I Understand why they really want Justin Fields to be the guy I want Justin to the guy to be the guy but he's got some stuff that he hasn't figured out and maybe he did maybe He figured it out on Thursday and maybe we're seeing Guys turn corners, you know, there've been other bad bad QB play. I mean Josh Allen was really bad for a long time and then he was good It does happen. It's rare, but it happens If he doesn't turn the corner and he continues to look like shit and They have the number one pick somehow Caleb Williams will be on the Bears and that will be the right move. So I Think the the toughest question is If Justin Fields looks like he's pretty good not a superstar But really looks like he's taking a step forward and is it and could be the franchise guy? But you still have the number one pick and do you pass on Caleb Williams? I think he learns is gonna be awesome But I don't know man, it would also be disgusting to trade back from that pick and get you know, whatever I mean basically what they got last year plus Who knows? I mean they would have to get it's just I don't even know where it would start the cable in straight package It's got to be Three firsts minimum to me minimum three firsts and Like that's like that gets you in the door to negotiate. That's like the the Those Japanese baseball players where it's like what was his name? The guy in the Yankees? Tanaka no talk. Let's hear Tanaka. No dice. K dice came out to Zaka for the Red Sox You had to pay to like just negotiate with him like you had to commit the money right up front which is That's what I'm doing with those three first round picks and then after that we're talking Okay, what else are you gonna give me and then it just becomes best offer. So maybe there seems willing to go for Maybe there's teams who want to trade players just reset under and have Caleb Williams who cares? It's bold Better work out because that would really set you back, but I think that guy's good enough that it might be worth it So I want just be able to do the guy because it would just be so Incredible for the rest of this roster if we can trade out of that first round pack first overall pack It would just make it so I mean they could fix the defense theoretically, you know, but it's got a long way to go So, yeah, I mean there's there's things that are positive about the Bears and I think that kind of transitions us to Ryan Poles which Again, you go on for to start the year You get eviscerated and down the way that we did in those four games the way we talked about before You're gonna be as low as you can be in the fan. I was so I I Was really upset. I was convinced that Ryan Pace was a dumb or I'm sorry Ryan Poles was an idiot and I started taking a list of the moves that he made that I thought were terrible She obviously chase Claypool trade for second round pick. Absolutely terrible trade Absolutely terrible trade probably one of the worst trades in various history I wouldn't go as far to say when we're shades and I fell history, but a terrible terrible trade One side note Green Bay offered a second round pick also So there were other teams willing to pay that to me that tells me Ryan Poles isn't at least It's at least not like out of his like depth and negotiating and like doesn't understand the value of these picks That was what the market was. He thought it was the right move It wasn't hopefully he learns from it, but I mean, that's a red flag move Like red flag error if I'm the owner of the Bears, I'm like, what the fuck are we doing here? And you only get a couple of those fans. You only get a couple of those unless you really get results, you know outside of it so Extending coke man, I thought was was unnecessary. I mean You know, it's not maddened So I get that there's a certain message he sent through the locker room that you pay guys who work hard and who are good For the culture They didn't overpay him. He's put up numbers so far. I just don't understand that same deal I don't think he's gonna end up being worth more than that That same deal. I think he would have signed at the end of this year when we knew that he was still really good But again, he's put up numbers. Maybe he ends up I think right now He's like second or third in yards for tight ends If he ends with any of the year you could make the case that he's trying to get a little bit more than twelve And a half million which I think is what this deal is about a year. So That may end up being a good deal and I could be wrong about that so I think that's still up in the air If you and Carter got all right thing is so stupid I Like it drives me absolutely crazy Why people are think are saying that the Bears should have taken Jalen Carter the bear should Jalen Carter's awesome. He's probably gonna be awesome Darn, all right looks amazing. It doesn't so this is my point It doesn't matter that the Bears pass on Jalen Carter Unless darn all right sucks if darn all right is a really good tackle for the Bears for the next five years ten years, whatever That was a good pick. They need offensive line They needed to protect Justin Fields who they wanted to find out about it was perfectly logical Jalen Carter has all these character problems It's idiotic to say that the Bears are like to say that was a bad move. Okay At this point it's unfair to say that it was a bad move the Lions trade out of their pick and not taken because that lines Defensive line would be absolutely disgusting But Jan Carter Nate Hutchinson instead they traded back So they get a gadget running back and an inside linebacker who both will probably be really good but again Jameer Gibbs is playing 12 snaps a game doesn't really hasn't impressed me yet and That the other dude Campbell. I don't fucking know. I've watched Campbell. I'm not gonna lie to you guys he made a nice playing that she's game, I remember but He's you know, it's an inside linebacker You can get Fred Warner's a third-round pick go find him later you don't need to fucking use the 15th pick on an inside linebacker unless he's like Legit legit and maybe this guy will be legit. But anyway, they could add Jan Carter sidetrack The other Ryan pulls moves that were bad. I think the first I think the Holly got with the Panthers is awesome and I don't know if he I don't know if he kind of did the math and That on the Panthers being terrible but If he did props to him because they look terrible and They may give up the Bears. They may give the Bears the first pick and the draft meant the Caleb Williams draft which would just be I Mean, that's a whole other discussion but that might be like the greatest thing that's ever happened as a Bears fan in terms of just like here like benefit to the franchise Making the Super Bowl, I guess I guess I'd rather make the Super Bowl Good kid blames, but So that trade was awesome DJ more amazing I don't understand Carolina scrambling to trade for a number one receiver why didn't you just trade Brian Burns the Bears like because you have not seen that you would have wanted a receiver for your Franchise QP like the Bears would have taken Brian Burns Okay, I mean I Maybe they could make that trade. I mean that would be insane. I don't think though I mean, that's that's a Madden for it. That's scratcher from the record. The Bears are not trained each anymore That dude is like the best player on the team the locker room would Fucking revolt. I stay true to DJ more so So, yeah great trade that's a I would say sign that Ryan pulls is not an idiot This is the idiot list is Ryan pulls an idiot list. So that's You that he's not an idiot one that he is an idiot I think number two that he is an idiot is spending night 90 million on average linebackers and I think it was 90 million something like that. Whatever sending Rogue one Smith amounts on average linebackers You basically trade a rope on Smith for Tremaine Edmonds and TJ Edwards Got a second I'll pick two so I guess you can throw Tyreek Stevenson in there. That's fair. That's a fair discussion Well, I'm building a defense what I'd rather have rope on Smith or those two guys. I would rather have rope on stuff I think I mean that dude is balling out with the Ravens that defense is disgusting. He's a culture guy he's gonna I just I Just think that was a dumb move And again, if you can't fit him in your defense your defensive scheme sucks and guess what Maddie Bruce's defense team sucks He doesn't know how to coach. He's an idiot, which is another red flag for Ryan pulls. Is he hired an idiot? Maybe this is an idiot. He's a terrible coach He has a hits philosophy that is like Cool man, like if that's like the 10th thing that you do as the coach. I Like it that's his number one sink That's like a high school coach. I mean, come on Like that is just how do you hire that dude? And he seems like a nice guy like whatever I don't hate him, but it's just He's a defensive coordinator. Like just let him be a defensive coordinator. He's not a head coach and George McCasky is a doofus He doesn't know how to run a franchise. They keep hiring idiot coaches. They keep hiring idiot GM's, which is why Ryan pulls It's just a good bet that if someone's hired three idiots Right, he's hired three gyms No, he's hard to he's hard he hired Phil Emery who was one of the worst GM's of all time I Think I mean he's got to be up there Phil Emery. He's heard more question Phil Emery And Ryan Pace and now he's hired rivals cuz I think he took over in 2011 so Okay, so he's hard to If Ryan pulls ends up being an idiot and getting fired, they cannot let George McCasky hire another GM You just have to like I don't know have the fans vote. It would go better Like it would go as well if Ryan pulls is an idiot, but so so again major side tangent, I don't want to listen to so whatever but Yeah, I just I Don't I Don't know. I think Ryan pulls letting Dave Montgomery walk and Taking Roshan Johnson. I think that I think that's a really good move I think I think David Montgomery is good and I don't I think this line signing it makes sense I don't think they overpaid for him I just think that the Bears Timeline wise it made more sense to just grab a running back who will now develop and be peaking when you're good again Versus Like trying to hold on to this dude who's good but old getting older and a little more worn out. I mean running backs do kind of Go away fast. I think sometimes I can get a little overrated. It's like, you know Now it's like three years in the league or whatever like He's got a three-year deal. Like he's gonna be really good to that three-year deal like he's not gonna wear out and so like that's a fine contract, but I Think that was a pretty good move. I love Roshan Johnson. I think it's gonna be awesome And then he's gonna be awesome for the locker room Darnell I'm sorry Bayless Jones jr. In the third round. That's a terrible pick and third-round picks are very hit-and-miss So I'm not gonna like roast a guy. I don't think it's a sign that he's an idiot Everybody's you every GM fucks up. Hi Rosen took Jalen Rager over Justin Jefferson. I mean, that's hilarious But that was terrible back wheels Jones barely plays He's like a kick returner. He's not that good at it and it was three impacts. I wasn't great So yeah, I mean Ryan pulls. I'm sure I'm missing some stuff but Ryan pulls After four weeks, I was ready to call him an idiot. I don't think I'm ready to call him an idiot yet now that we've kind of Taken the irrational fan side out of it and just losing 14 trade games out of it A couple of guys that he picked Don't know right looks awesome. I Think that Project Jones. We don't project Jones is the guy that got tackled or the guy that Tightens draft to another stealer drivers a Braxton Jones Braxton Jones, I think will be swing tackle back up I think that's awesome that you can find that in the seventh round like you just get some depth That's not you know, that's a good pick I don't think he's a starter but that's a good pick Lucas Patrick he signed him that was dumb, but you know, they weren't expecting a good That's just kind of a fire. That's fine Nate Davis Nate Davis man. That was like a disaster in the offseason and as it turns out he was missing time because it's family and You know Bears fans were roasting him. I was kind of roasting him saying it was a terrible signing. Whoopsies my bad But he plays good man, I mean he shows up he's a veteran I think that was a good signing so Kevin Jenkins coming back to the line really makes a difference man, because you know you're really at that point you can swing Cody white hair to center and Your weakness is Larry Barham and Larry Barham He's a backup tackle again the depth piece at best I would say But that's a good thing to have Braxton Jones is kind of similar. So they have a big hole left tackle man. If you can plug that He Penn State kid that left tackle You got something cooking on that line man, I mean you are then basically just a center away Now a lot of this also is Kevin Jenkins staying healthy, which he is not shown to do But when he is healthy man, that guy malts. I love that dude. I love that dude. I love darn. All right, too He malls people and so I would love for them to just have a sick offensive line. That'd be so fun you know and then You know, we can find receivers later in the rounds. Okay, you don't find stud left tackles in the fourth round, you know, you can find awesome receivers in the third and fourth round so You know, we'll see but I'm leaning towards the tackle and again, I'm not a scout I don't know what the fuck I'm talking about. So I'm this is under the impression that like These guys are great at the exact same level as like elites prospects and like Ryan Poles is looking at the boat and says I love both of these guys. This is just a philosophical discussion I would just plug the tackle in and just have a disgusting line and Marvin Harrison jr. Is amazing. It might come back to haunt you He might be one of the best receivers in the league for a long long time But if you've got one of the best tackles away for a long long time, it was worth it. So I Think I think you get it and then hopefully they can just keep plugging in holes at the defense. I mean Man, he was really hoping that a couple of these guys in the secondary that they picked early would hit and You know Jaquan brisker. I love the guy. I Love the edge he plays with I love the edge. He carries himself with He's Battle injuries yet, you know, he makes some plays. I mean you see him on the field So like I I think he at least is it gonna be a solid starter? But if he's got to stay on the field, then the fiend get better, you know, I don't hate that pick I think he's gonna be a good player. I Think Collard Gordon before he got hurt looked awesome, too. He was flying around I'm not a Jackson fan 2018 was a awesome ride I think they should have moved on In hindsight, that's pretty clear He was jumping around getting pick sixes the guys doesn't play physically I'm not some safety analyst, but like to me he's banged up a lot. I don't like how he plays in terms of physicality Maybe he roams the secondary. Well, maybe he's got a bit of a reputation But some QB's are still afraid of but I don't know. He really doesn't make that many plays Maybe that's because they don't throw all that much, but he doesn't make a whole lot of place Anymore Perry Stevenson's really been thrown into the fire. He's committed. I think five penalties game But that's fine I'd like him a lot to you man, I like the edge he plays with I like physical he is There were a couple of flashes on Thursday that I saw on Twitter where he looked like he knew what he was doing again I mean listen corner play who knows don't commit penalties and don't leave guys wide open. That's pretty basic. So Yeah, so I mean hopefully a couple of those guys step forward and the secondary kind of becomes the unit they can lean on next year, which is what I was hoping would happen this year, but But yeah, I mean if you got If you got something with Jervon Dexter who played really well PFF had him graded really high I mean PFS is I use it for toilet paper for the most part, but when it works to your favorite, right? Jervon Dexter, yeah, they've had a three tech in the second or third round. That would be awesome. So Other than that though man, they need help on the D line and You know, we'll see if these linebackers can can play a little bit better. I just The Philosophy of spending money on linebackers, I get it They had unlimited money and they really wasn't able to pay So like I understand that like fuck it. We just need to find somebody like we need to feel the defense that is like Decent and like these are the guys we can pay. I Just think it's bad team-building. I think you can find these guys I mean the Eagles with TJ Edwards is a perfect example you draft a guy who's undrafted You fit him into your system the D line dominates for him and makes it easy for him he makes plays He's up for a contract. Okay. See ya We're gonna go find another guy just like this to let our defensive line dominate like, you know, so whatever it's fine Think but they got to fix the defensive line. I mean that is to me the number one position of the numbers team, obviously some kind of pass rush whether it's from the three technique or a couple edge guys They need a lot of edge guys, I mean I think what they do have is like some depth in terms of If they did plug in one or two really good at rushers the guys behind them then all of a sudden Okay, these guys aren't bad. I mean DeMarcus Walker is a second string and it's awesome Yannick and Kaka is a second string and is awesome. I don't know if he'll be on the team long term I wouldn't bet on it, but And Andrew Billings has played really good to you that guy's a fucking monster Biggest dude I've ever seen sprinting and just sprinting it off the sideline sucking That what a beast. I love that dude So, yeah, it's fun to win it really helps if they had lost on Thursday night We would be having a much more depressing discussion But they won so who cares and the team that didn't win last night was the Packers which was amazing Man it was that was so satisfying. I mean, let's be honest. It's so satisfying watching the Packers lose. They're the fucking worst I hate those scumbags Scumbag fans spoiled brat fans had 30 years of quarterback play. They think it's hard To be a fan. They don't know shoot But yeah that team's next I think the Packers suck I This could definitely come back to bite me because they have a really easy schedule down the stretch But how do you you know getting blown out by the Lions at home, I mean, it's not good But like I get it the lines look really good But man of Raiders, I mean the Raiders suck I'm sorry, the Raiders suck and they played awesome yesterday. Max Ross. He's amazing Jimmy G. I thought was poised. He threw a couple bad picks That was just the Packers just I mean they played terribly Jordan loves socks He was I think he didn't complete a pass over five yards. I don't think all night And He's a check down Charlie right now and he was getting pressured which is my favorite thing in the world Is to watch these Packers man squirming on Twitter defending these guys that we've had to do like with Mitch and with fucking Cuddy and with Justin Fields Well, he doesn't mean protection doesn't mean weapons boo boo boo boo boo boo. They're doing all that shit And it is just so fucking fun to watch Cuz it's just cope and I get it. I mean I'd be doing this exact same thing if I were them, but Jordan love my suck. I always thought he was a dumbass. He comes off to me like a dumbass He had to call Justin Fields before week one game to figure out how to get tickets Like dude, you couldn't figure that out. You've been in league for four years You don't know the process of getting someone tickets to your game That's a maybe I'm reading too much of that. That's a massive red flag You're a dumbfuck he wished the Bear Sands Happy Father's Day like thinking he was funny and He just sprays the ball. He sprays the ball all over the place. He has a terrible deep ball The one thing he can do is he processes well, I mean here he processes but it doesn't feel so as I think he goes Through his progression faster, but when he gets sped up He looks a lot sloppier doing it. So Yeah, I don't know. I To me it's kind of working out perfectly to where it's he's good, but not great, but not terrible So we got to keep them. Maybe we should keep them I don't know and they just have mediocrity for the next whatever five years. Hopefully 10 20 30, whatever Lucas and that's awesome though. He's gonna be so fucking good. That's gonna be annoying as fuck I think Luke Musgrave will also be annoying to deal with he's a good pick If If Quay Walker can stay sane That dude's gonna be amazing like amazing. He's so good and it pisses me off, but he's so good Dobbs is good. He didn't play well yesterday. I think Christian Watson Awesome player, but he's what I think he's one of the most overrated players in the league I think people act like he's like his number one receiver. He's like a weapon He's a run straight really fast guy, you know, I mean, this is a perfect example last night He got he had nine targets. We got three cat passes. He's like barely a receiver He may develop into that but at this point he's not Dobbs is much closer to number one receiver then then Christian Watson is to me Christian Watson is Devin Hester and That's Devin Hester as a receiver, which is insulting property to Pakistan's and like I think it's not a perfect comp but like You get the ball in his hands how you can to get just let his athleticism off and He's not a number one receiver, but he's a big play guy AJ Dylan is absolutely atrocious He does nothing can't catch He has no speed and he's for being giant. He's like the weakest power runner ever He's never been good it was a terrible pick and hopefully they hold on to him forever because he's terrible Yeah, so Green Bay sucks I think that They played Denver after their by in Denver, then they get them then they get, Minnesota the Rams Steelers Chargers Lions, she's so I don't know. I mean if I had to say like games that I think they're definitely gonna lose the rest of the way I Think the Chargers beat them. I don't know who that is Uh, maybe he's good who knows but yeah, I mean I guess there really isn't that many defensive linemen in here going BJ Ozilargy He was he's pretty sick, I think I think that would have been fun um And obviously Brian branch you had And then Jervon Dexter pick two pick up to three so So, yeah, I mean he you know, whatever it is what it is so the lines are really good I Think that the best team in the nfl is 49ers Obviously, they murdered my cowboys who I thought were going to be in the super bowl, but my cowboys I don't know. I thought they'd have the best defense in the league I think I might have been wrong about that Because the 49ers defense is probably better Um, but I think by the end of the year it'll be a debate still I mean, they'll figure it out. I think jim was a good coach and he's perfect as a defensive coordinator and Hmm He shouldn't become a head coach again. Just be a just be a fucking kick-ass defensive coordinator. There's nothing wrong with that I mean, I mean do what you want to do, but like You know I think that from an individual perspective If you can just kick ass this job or be in over your head in a job What would you rather do you'd rather kick ass being the defensive coordinator nfl is so respectable Honestly, I think it's cooler than being a fucking head coach. You just run in the d But I don't know it's uh I got really sidetracked there, but But yeah, so I think the niners are the best team in uh in the nfl I think I think uh Philly's really good I think the cowboys are really and then I think the lions are still a tier below that those three And maybe you could argue there with dallas after sunday, but I still think dallas is the better team I think dallas's offense is better than the the Than blinds offense and I think Dallas defense is obviously better than lions defense, even though lions defense has been really well I think the chiefs are good Um, this taylor swift shit is getting annoying as fuck Uh, I love taylor swift I paid four thousand dollars to go to the heirs tour so That confirms that I love taylor swift I'm tired of seeing taylor swift. Uh And I think after that it's kind of wide open in the afc so It's funny We always would say the afc is loaded Like how many of this year the fc's load the fc's loaded and it's pretty good. I mean people always over at fucking chargers The bangles are struggling um That aaron rogers blew out his achilles. That obviously doesn't help so It's a little more open than we expected. I think the nfc right now is better When you consider how well the lions are playing Uh, and just how bad the bangles have been although they bounced back So i'm sure they'll be playing just like a super bowl contender soon over the next couple of weeks here But yeah, I mean I think that's enough for this podcast I did 43 minutes that's pretty good No one's gonna listen to it.
