Her attention is drawn to the open closet door, then fear starts to take over, thinking a monster is going to come out and grab her. Chloe cautiously walks into her parents room and just as every other night, her parents tell her that there is no monster and to go back to sleep. As she grew older, the fear faded and the closet monster turned into another pigment of her imagination. Chloe has a bright future. She just graduated high school with a 96 average. She has a good group of friends and a boyfriend named Noah who makes her very happy. Move-in day for college comes and she has to say goodbye to her friends and Noah. Her and Noah promised that even though they were going to different colleges, they would make it work and get married one day. She cried all the way there and while her parents helped her move in. She decided to room alone because sharing a room with a stranger seemed weird. She FaceTimed Noah every night and he seemed to be more concerned about if she's talking to other guys than how she's doing. Eventually, Chloe settled and grew to love her school. She would tell Noah how well she is doing and he only seemed to grow more jealous and angry. Chloe loves Noah, so she brushed it off. Thanksgiving break comes along and Chloe runs into Noah's arms. They were catching up the whole day when Chloe notices a sudden change in Noah's expression. Chloe had made friends with a boy in her class that helped her with homework. Noah becomes infuriated saying he knew she was cheating on him. She looks at her phone and sees one of her classmates texted her and reassures Noah that he's just asking about homework. But the more she talks about it, the angrier he gets. Chloe lays her hand on Noah to try and calm him down, but Noah shoves her to the ground and hits her. Chloe is in shock, completely heartbroken that Noah would do that to her. Noah sees the pure fear in her eyes when she looks at him and realizes what he just did. He knows he will never be able to recover from this and their relationship is over. Chloe is now bawling her eyes out, trying to find her stuff to get as far away from him as possible. Noah apologizes over and over, saying he doesn't know what took over him and he can't live without her. Both in agonizing pain, Chloe finally gets away from him and calls her friends. The break ends and it's time to go back to college. She is relieved that she can get as far away from Noah as possible. Her friends at college helped her heal and grow. She cut off all contact with Noah. She finds happiness through her friends and family and finds a man that makes her happy the way Noah used to. Noah, on the other hand, has been breaking down, beating himself up for hurting the only girl that matters to him. He knows he will never love anyone besides Chloe. It's a dark night, chillier than usual. Chloe's new boyfriend is walking her back to her dorm to make sure she is safe. Chloe takes off her jacket and walks over to her closet. She notices the curtain is closed, which is strange because she always keeps it open. Her heart rate increases as she reaches for the curtain. A hand pops up and grabs her. She is forced to the ground and a familiar voice is angry, repeating, Who was that, Chloe, huh? It was supposed to be me and you forever. Suddenly the voice turns from angry to a meltdown. She feels his tears fall onto her skin. Overwhelmed with fear, trying to escape, she hears Noah say, I'm so sorry, I'll be with you on the other side. She feels something thrust to her head. He keeps on repeating, I'm so sorry, I love you so much, I'm doing this so we can be together forever. She hears a gunshot and falls to the ground. As she's gasping for air, she hears another gunshot and Noah collapses on the ground next to her. She hears another gunshot and falls to the ground.
