Nothing to say, yet
This is an invitation to join a five-minute Bible study called "A Step of Faith." The speaker emphasizes the importance of not becoming complacent and taking action based on faith. The Bible is referenced to remind listeners of the consequences of not believing. It is acknowledged that taking a step of faith can be challenging in a world filled with negative information. However, it is encouraged to trust God, as He keeps His promises. Taking a step of faith can involve making deliberate choices and decisions, even in the face of obstacles. Examples are given of individuals in the Bible who took steps of faith and were rewarded. The audience is invited to continue the series of Bible studies and trust God for a better future. The speaker ends with a prayer for encouragement and invites further engagement through the website or email. Hello, we invite you to join this chariot for a five-minute Bible study. This first episode on A Step of Faith is titled The Introduction. My name is Greg Alabi, and I'm inviting you to come let us study the Bible together. Thank you for joining us as we start a new series of Bible studies titled A Step of Faith. For many of us, this is a familiar topic, but we have a duty to remind ourselves and avoid complacency over familiarity and inaction. That means doing nothing and expecting something. The Bible says in 2 Peter 1 verse 12, Wherefore, I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know them, and be established in this present truth. Also, the fifth verse of the book of Jude, Jude verse 5, it says, I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how the Lord, having saved his people out of the land of Egypt, afterwards destroyed them that believed not. It is important to remind ourselves of what God said, so we not only believe God, but take the step of faith without fear, without doubt, without delay, and not partial obedience. That verse of scripture says God destroyed them that believed not. Although God may not strike us dead today, but not taking the step of faith has and can destroy or kill great potentials who would have had a far better and glorious destiny. In this age of times where knowledge and information about any and every subject is readily available to anybody who desires to know, trusting God and taking a step of faith can be challenging. The worst part is that the greater percentage or greater portion of the information out there are negative, promoting fear and doubt. Therefore, taking a step of faith may appear not to be a wise decision. But Romans chapter 3 verse 4 says, Let God be true, but every man a liar. The Good News Bible puts it this way. God must be true, even though every human being is a liar. The message translation says, God keeps his word, even when the whole world is lying through its teeth. Taking a step of faith could be making a move or taking an action deliberately, a choice and decision we prayerfully make. Not because there will not be challenges ahead, not because it is the easy way out, but like a songwriter once said, we are able to go up and take the country, and possess the land from Jordan to the sea. Though the giants may be there our way to hinder, our God has given us the victory, a step of faith since victory ahead despite obstacles before. Also, a step of faith could be God walking through events and people to make us move from our comfort zone into destiny. For example, Ruth and Naomi in the Bible. Ruth made a deliberate choice and decision to follow Naomi despite all odds. A step of faith landed her in a far better future. But Joseph, loved by his father who made him a coat of many colors, was very happy and comfortable at home, but people and events, mostly not very palatable, led him and moved him until he became the prime minister of Egypt. All things work together for good if we love God and are working in the purpose of God for our lives. Dear friends, I hereby invite you to join us this day to continue this series of Bible studies on Join This Chariot. It's just 5 minutes each. Before the end of this series of studies, my prayer is that we all will see reasons to take that step of faith, trusting God. We will study together people who despite all odds or level of comfort, they took a step of faith and did not regret the outcome. God wants to increase and expand you. God sees and knows something better. He has something bigger for you in future. Let's trust God together. Let's study together. And then let's take that step of faith together. Let us pray. Father, we thank you for the studies that we are about to embark into. We pray, oh God, as we do, we ask of you to encourage us through your word to put boldness and faith in our heart. In Jesus name, Amen. You may visit our website, for further information, or send an email to God bless you.
