In today's Daily Devotion, we read Psalm 150 which encourages us to praise God in various ways. The book of Psalms is filled with expressions of love, heartache, and victory, but ultimately, we should always praise God. Worship is a voluntary act of gratitude that not only honors God but also takes care of ourselves. We are encouraged to find new ways to praise God, such as learning to play an instrument or engaging in activities that teach us more about Him. Today's personal worship option is to worship God in gratitude, whether through recounting His greatness in our lives or through song, instruments, dance, or clapping. Welcome to Christ Church's Daily Devotion for November 3rd, 2023. Today we will be reading from Psalm 150. Praise the Lord, praise God in His sanctuary. Praise Him in His mighty heavens. Praise Him for His acts of power. Praise Him for His surpassing greatness. Praise Him with the sounding of the trumpet. Praise Him with the harp and lyre. Praise Him with timbrel and dancing. Praise Him with the strings and pipe. Praise Him with the clash of cymbals. Praise Him with resounding cymbals. Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord. Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. What a fitting way to end the book of Psalm. This book contains so many expressions of love, heartache, passion, despair, victory, and in the middle of it all, we praise God. Worship is a voluntary act of gratitude offered by the saved to the Savior, by the healed to the healer, and by the delivered to the deliverer. In offering worship, not only do we honor the God we love, it is also part of taking care of ourselves. Find a new way to praise God. Learn to play an instrument. Take up a new activity that will help you learn more about God or His creation. Sing a song of praise in your car. Today's personal worship option. Worship God in gratitude, whether it is recounting God's greatness in your life, or singing a song, playing an instrument, dancing or clapping. Whatever you do, praise the Lord.
