The speaker starts by expressing gratitude for the listeners tuning in to Radio HCI and participating in a prayer startup. They emphasize the importance of prayer and studying the word of God to fulfill one's destiny. The theme for the morning devotion is "Always at Post," highlighting the idea that God is always watching over and protecting believers. They mention how people invest in security measures, but without God's presence, it is insufficient. The speaker encourages listeners not to be alarmed by the evil in the world, as God is always with them, providing security and deliverance. They reference biblical examples of God's protection and urge listeners to trust in God's constant presence. The devotion concludes with a prayer for peace, assurance, and protection. The speaker also announces upcoming prayer and devotion sessions and encourages listeners to continue studying the word and praying. Morning by morning, He awakens me and opens my understanding to His will. The Sovereign Lord has spoken to me and I have listened. Shalom Precious One, God richly bless you for tuning in to Radio HCI today, for our morning glory devotion and also for being a part of our just ended prayer startup. We know that as we apply ourselves unto prayer and unto the word, we shall become the people that God has destined us to be, in Jesus Precious Name. This is Pastor Benjamin Bristmead from Harvest Chapel International Kumasi and I will be facilitating this morning's devotion. Let us kindly share a word of prayer. Gracious and Everlasting Father, we thank you for the privilege and the honor to hear your word once again. We commit ourselves unto your hands, O God. We pray for grace to be doers of the word and not hearers only. In Jesus Mighty Name we pray with thanksgiving, Amen. Let us take our confession together from Joshua Chapter 1 Verse 8. This book of the Lord shall not depart out of my mouth, but I shall meditate in it day and night, that I may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then I will make my way prosperous, and then I will have good success. Amen. Beloved, our theme for this morning's devotion is Always at Post, Always at Post and we shall be taking our scripture reading from Psalm 121 Verses 3 and 4, Psalm 121 Verses 3 and 4. I'll be reading from the NLT. He will not let you stumble. He who watches over you will not slumber. Indeed, he who watches over Israel never slumbers or sleeps. May the Lord add his blessing to the hearing and reading of his word, and we shall all respond thanks be to God. Always at Post. In a recent conversation with a friend, she disclosed how her co-tenants complained bitterly about their current security guard. On quite a number of occasions, they had found him asleep at post and they felt this act threatened their security. Everyone wants to feel secured. So great is this need that we hear of the millions that nations spend in armory and their security agents to ensure that their borders and citizens are as safe as possible. All these investments and measures minus the Lord, however, is still deficient. Unless the Lord guards the city, the watchman stays awake in vain, Psalm 127 Verse 1. All the evil we see in our world now, the robbery attacks, violence, kidnapping, murder, occultic manipulations and the like is not something that should take us by surprise. Jesus prophesied in Matthew Chapter 24 that in the last days there shall be an increase in lawlessness and wickedness. In the midst of all this, however, we as children of God are not to be alarmed nor live in fear and anxiety, for he who watches over us neither slumbers nor sleeps. Hence we can be rest assured of our security, regardless of the terrors of the night, the arrow that flies by the day, the pestilence that stalks in the darkness and the plague that destroys at midday, for we have one that watches over us and he is at post 24-7. Not only does he not sleep nor doze at post, he has the power and resources to deliver us from evil and preserve us unto the end. If he did it for the people of Israel on their way to the promised land, he would do it for us who are called by his name too. The Bible says in Exodus Chapter 13 Verses 21 and 22 that as the people of Israel journeyed from Egypt to the promised land, the Lord went ahead of them in a pillar of cloud during the day and by night in a pillar of fire so that they could travel by day or night. Neither the pillar of cloud by day nor the pillar of fire by night left its place in front of the people. Beloved, do not be alarmed by the evil you see all around. He who watches over you is aware and as the mountains surround Jerusalem, so shall he surround you, your family and your properties to protect and preserve you from all evil in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen. Amen. It's time to take our memory verse and our memory verse for today shall be taken from Psalms 127 Verse 4 Psalm 127 Verse 4 Reading from the New Living Translation Indeed, he who watches over Israel never slumbers or sleeps. Indeed, he who watches over Israel never slumbers or sleeps. Amen. Father, in the name of Jesus, we thank you for your word that has come to us and for the reassurance that you Lord watch over us and you are always at post. We pray that you grant us this great conviction, Lord, that you are with us in the midst of the trials, in the midst of the turbulence, in the midst of the chaos, O God, cause our hearts to be at peace and cause our minds to be at rest, knowing that you are there for us. In Jesus' precious name we pray with thanksgiving, Amen. Amen. God richly bless you so much beloved for connecting with us and for particularly being a part of the If I Perish, I Perish fast and this three days Abandoned Life Conference. Even as the Lord has revived us, we want to keep on studying the word and praying and so we come to you once again tomorrow at 6 a.m. with our prayer startup and at 6.30 a.m. with our morning glory devotion as we keep pushing, we know that we'll definitely become the people that God has destined us to be, shun all and have a fruitful day, Amen.
