Wow, I mean, this is insane. I've never seen a timeline like this for a case. It's been more than 25 years in the same case and he lost half of his life for a crime that he didn't even commit? Everything, like, it was all due to the fact that his lawyer was just incompetent. Yeah. She died in the middle of his sentence and nobody cared enough to go there and reconvict his case or give him any attention. Yeah, it was only after the podcast and serial started taking attention when they did the episode on him where finally people started to realize how messed up this case was and how he hadn't gotten a fair chance how everyone should. Exactly. So many people brought so much attention to the podcast and they started analyzing the case, bringing up all the files, looking everything online, seeing that they actually had no evidence against him for him to be in jail. And his friend, you know his friend, Jay, the one that, you know, told him that he was the guilty one? He was there, yeah. He has been in and out of prison since then. Exactly. He's been putting himself in a horrible situation, so he can't really be a guy to be trusted. Or reliable. Or reliable. Exactly. No, I agree with you. But, I mean, on the bright side, this situation brought, like, shined a light to a way bigger problem in America and it just goes to show, like, how many people have gone through, like, a similar situation where their lawyers just weren't doing their job correctly and they were wrongfully, like, guilty. They were charged. Exactly. They've been there more than half their lives in prison and not doing anything. You know, Adnan lost his entire life. He went to prison when he was 18, now he's 41. He can't get a call, like, he can, but he, like, he lost his college years. Yeah. He lost his, he could have started a family, you know, he doesn't even know his family anymore. There's probably so many new members, his brothers, his sisters, you know, his parents, and this is all because nobody's had so much attention. Yeah.
