Butterflies, or A Storm of Chaotic Butterflies, is the first orchestral piece throughout, featuring the piano. It captures the chaotic and exhilarating emotions of childhood infatuation. This composition weaves together at least three distinct melodies, which play both harmonically and slightly dissonantly at times to evoke the fluttering sensation of butterflies in one's stomach. Each melody represents the various facets of young love, from the thrill of anticipation to nervous excitement.
