An Unresolved Minor

My early years were filled with a constant sense of dread and foreboding. I wrote this to try and capture childhood but also that uneasiness. I think it's really close, especially the parts after the key change around 1'10". I was subconsciously inspired by Offenbach's Barcarolle because my mum used to sing it and I associate that sense of unease with that music. It was only after I'd written this piece that I remembered Barcarolle and they both evoke the same sense uneasiness in me.
