The speaker conducted a literature search to find high-quality research studies related to their evidence-based practice questions. Each group member appraised one study article, and the findings were combined into a group synthesis table. They discovered interesting evidence and planned to share it with their listeners. The speaker would then explain the findings from the synthesis table in more detail. After conducting our literature search using the methods that we previously discussed, we sorted through the study articles by looking at their titles and looking at their abstracts to find high-quality research studies that were specifically appropriate for our evidence-based practice questions. Each group member was responsible for critically appraising one study article, and we combined all of those into a group synthesis table to get a better understanding of the state of the science surrounding our topic. After looking at all of those studies as a body of literature, we found some interesting evidence that we wanted to share with our listeners. And at this point, I would go through reading, not reading, but I would explain some of the things that we found, again, not going over things that were from one article, but look at the whole body of evidence on your synthesis table and expound further on what is actually located on your poster file.
