Full-time faculty at Humber are welcomed and congratulated on their appointment. The Teaching Excellence Program aims to support their transition into full-time teaching. The program includes reflection on teaching practice, collaboration with peers, and exploration of teaching and learning. In Year 1, there will be structured workshops and meetups. In Year 2, faculty can focus on self-directed study. The goal is to continuously develop teaching practice and shape innovative learning at Humber. Welcome, full-time faculty, to the Humber community. Congratulations on your appointment as a full-time Humber faculty member. We are thrilled to welcome you and look forward to our upcoming time together in preparation for the 2023-24 academic year. The Teaching Excellence Program Orientation Week is designed to familiarize you with the resources available to support your transition into full-time teaching at Humber. We are so excited to meet you and look forward to joining, guiding, sharing, and learning with you on your Teaching Excellence journey. Throughout the Teaching Excellence Program, you will reflect on your teaching practice and learn with your peers while exploring all aspects of teaching and learning. Whether you're an experienced educator or new to teaching at a polytechnic institute, we will all work towards the continuous development of our teaching practice. In Year 1, together we will share ideas and learn new and innovative approaches to teaching and learning through a series of structured, collaborative workshops and weekly meetups. In Year 2, you will expand upon your knowledge and apply what you have learned through a self-directed study that focuses on an aspect of teaching and learning that you would like to develop. Thank you for joining our faculty family. Together, let's help shape the future of innovative learning and teaching excellence at Humber.
