The speaker found it fascinating how Indigenous ways of knowing and being differ from Western systems of thought. It made them reflect on their own identity as an Indigenous person living in a Western society. The course helped them connect their Indigenous heritage with the modern world. They also enjoyed the Mitisapi Heritage Education lecture by Kamina Weasel-Moccasin. Another thing I found fascinating was how Indigenous ways of knowing and being are so different from Western systems of thought. It made me reflect on my own identity and how I fit into this larger narrative, both as an Indigenous person and someone living in a Western society. All in all, this course helped me bridge the gap between my Indigenous heritage and the modern world I navigate every day. Something else I really enjoyed was the Mitisapi Heritage Education, lectured by Kamina Weasel-Moccasin. I thought it was super interesting. Sorry if I butchered that.
