The Music Store: Rock City on Woodward Ave. Royal Oak, MI - 1982 ....As an aspiring guitarist, I cannot tell you how fortunate I was to have crossed paths with guitar instructor Joey (speed) Mazzola. Knowing scales and chords is one thing but actually applying them with picking and legato techniques is another. He translated these techniques to me effortlessly. Thanks for all the awesome lessons Joe! And thanks for the killer "Sponge" songs over the years! You guys rocked!..(still do).
