Nothing to say, yet
Red, who is proficient in navigation, calibrates the equipment despite it not being his job. While reading his spell book, he notices a mistake with the equipment and corrects it. He offers assistance to the captain but unintentionally crosses a line. Red apologizes and explains that he didn't mean any disrespect. The captain expresses dissatisfaction and Red decides to find another job. Red heads into the navigation room and decides to calibrate the equipment. Not his job, but he is proficient, and we have not added one to the crew yet. Edgar, his reluctant familiar, crawls up onto the side of the ship to hang out with him. After he has finished with the navigation equipment, he finds a nice spot to read his spell book. He lifts his head up from his book. They were incorrect, so I adjusted them, before nonchalantly returning to his spell book. He then finishes reading and closes his spell book and places it in his pouch. The sailor pulls out his navigation tools. I've calibrated them to Navy standards, hands it to barrel chest. Compare it to your own, if you'd like. To barrel chest, it appears I have unintentionally crossed the line. Sorry, Captain, it won't happen again. The offer still stands. If you need help outside my job, I'm here to assist. They pause for a brief moment. Next time I'm feeling ambitious, I will ask for permission and not forgiveness. Just so you know, it was never out of a lack of respect, Captain. I know the navigator position is still open, and I did not know that you were filling that position until it was filled. With that said, I just wanted to make sure all the equipment was operational, not to mess with your personalized settings. Besides, isn't all of the equipment the captain's equipment? Until now, it was not a problem. There was no expectation not to assist in other areas of the crew. Best I can do is let you know that it won't happen again. It appears that that is not enough. Good luck in your travels and in the games, Captain Barrel Chest. Good day, sir. He scoops up Edgar and heads to the shore. Looks like we're on a hunt for another job, buddy.
