The speaker is passionate about music and enjoys a wide variety of genres, including metal, EDM, pop, rock, indie, and Dutch rap. They listen to music constantly, except when at school or work. They have favorite artists and songs that they connect with on a personal level. The speaker believes that their music choices reflect their mood and surroundings. The songs they mentioned are meaningful to them because of the music, lyrics, or personal connection. They don't have any guilty pleasure songs and are open about their musical preferences. Overall, music is a significant part of their identity. Welcome to my Music is Identity project. First of all I love music, and a lot of it. I love nearly every genre there is. There are of course some genres I don't like, but I've yet to find them. The main genres I listen to are metal, EDM, so that's like hardcore, uptempo, drum and bass, those kinds of music. I love pop, rock, indie, Dutch rap mainly. Sometimes Dutch music is fine too. Those are the main genres I listen to. I listen to a lot of music, but sometimes I can't listen to it. For example when I'm at school or at work. The further I'm nearly always listening to music. When I shower, when I go to school, when I eat, when I travel, when I do homework. Always. Some of my favorite artists are De Jeugd van Tegenwoordig, Doemaar, Reaper, he makes drum and bass. Metallica, they make metal-ish music. Slipknot, they make metal. Rammstein, also metal. Slayer, also metal. But those are just a few artists of many. So you could say I am well-teached about my music knowledge. I love a lot of different genres. We know that now. But why, I don't know. I think it depends on my mood. Because when I'm in the shower I like to listen to EDM or when I'm traveling to school at 7 in the morning I like to listen to pop or hip-hop or rock. So it really depends on where I am and with who and those stuff. Then I have some songs. But looking at the time I don't have time for that. So I chose Ignemi May from Gersh Pardoe. The song is about a love story. And why I love it is because the music, the instruments just fit really well and the lyrics with the music just perfect. I like it. I can sing it all the way through. I've known it for all my life. So that's why I like it. And it's a bit of Dutch rap. Then I chose Smorgeliefd from Dumar. And I've known that not that long. I got to know it from TikTok I think. But I chose this because at the ending there's two voices singing at the same time and sometimes not aligned. And I like that a lot and I think it's quite an older song. Then Major Tom from Peter Schilling. It's a German song and I chose it because I just love songs in different languages. For example Polish or Spanish, Dutch, English, German. I love it because it's just stuff I don't know but it sounds good. And for this song in particular I chose it because the beginning is just amazing. Then I chose Eyeless from Slipknot. It's a very different genre. It's metal. And I chose it because of the drummer Joey Jordanson. He's an amazing drummer. I think he's dead but I'm not sure. And he just rocks. He's insanely fast and he can just turn the best. That's why I like metal in general. Then I have Release the Kraken from Destructive Tendencies, Warfare and Sefa. It's a hardstyle, hardcore song. And I like it because it pushes me further in the gym so I can lift more and stuff. And it just releases energy when I'm with friends or in the shower or something. These songs represent me because I listen to them a lot and it just makes me who I am. But some songs are quite new to me like Smorvelief from Dumar. I've known that for two months I think. And I don't really have guilty pleasure songs because everyone can know what I listen to. I don't really mind. But yeah, that was my Music is Identity project. And I'm sorry I didn't put the songs here but I've already gone past time. Have a nice day.
