The Reverse Oriole Podcast discusses P. Diddy, his music career, and the ongoing lawsuit against him. The lawsuit includes allegations of assault, sexual assault, abuse, attempted murder, and more. The podcast also mentions Diddy's success in the music industry, his net worth of $1 billion, and his history of grooming young artists. Okay, welcome back to the Reverse Oriole Podcast. Welcome. I'm your guest, Brandon, and these are my co-hosts. Yeah, hello. And... Am I supposed to speak now? Yes. Who are you, Brandon? Say them. Tell them. I'm... I forgot. Okay. This is our third co-host that we haven't had for a while because he's been sick. Hi. Christian. And... I'm sorry to make your show better. Okay. Welcome to the Reverse Oriole. So, Christian, talk to us, man. The listeners have no idea who you are. So, I'm Christian. I'm basically IRL Paul Atreides. That's a lot. Notice the size. You're not Paul Atreides, bro. Yes, I am. Okay. Anyway, today we're going to be talking about P. Diddy. Okay? Diddy, Diddy, Diddy. And now, I know who P. Diddy is because of music. Yep. Well, I'm pretty sure you're in the same boat. Yep. I am now. Because he does, like, what do you call it? He produces hip-hop and he was under, what's it, Biggie, right? Well, no. He owns a record label. Yeah, that's what I mean. That's what I mean. And he signed Biggie. Yeah, yeah. And Christian here told us just before the podcast he has no idea who P. Diddy is. Yep. So, we're going to keep it by the books. I have notes here to keep on. And we're going to be talking about P. Diddy, the allegations, the case, etc. And, yeah. Yeah, I want to first get Christian's, well, what do you know about P. Diddy? I know there's a, what's the word we're supposed to use instead? Assault allegation? Well, it's more of just, like, it's more than that. It's more than that. It involves children. It involves a lot of things. Yeah, there's a lot. Unconsensual tickling case. And more than that. More unconsensual stuff. Okay. Illegal. But the thing is, so, basically, we have, there's a lot of allegations. Yeah. It's not even just that. Like, we have, like, dude, like, attempted murder. We have, like, stuff like that. Yeah. What an accomplished young man. Some crazy things. So, I'm going to get us all started, okay, with who is P. Diddy. All right. He was born in Sean Combs. I don't know where that is, Caledon. Sean Combs. That's Diddy. Yeah, that's where he's from. No, that's his name. Known as Puff Daddy, as well as just Diddy. Was born on the 4th of November, 1969, in Harlem, New York. His father passed when he was three years old, leaving his mother, Janice, to relocate the family to Mount Vernon. So, we already see a little bit of trauma building up at the start of his life. It doesn't really say here how his father died. Maybe we'll talk about that a little more later. But it seems like he's a very disturbed young man. Or I guess not young anymore. Born in 1959, probably. Yeah, crazy. He dropped out of college in his sophomore year and went to become an intern at Uptown Records in 1990. Uptown Records was founded by Andre Harrell. Is Uptown Records still going? I think it is. Yes, it is. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And had artists such as Mary J. Blige, Heavy D, and the Boys, Father MC, and more signed onto the label. Mary J. Blige. Mary J. Blige. Weren't they like the Afro-rap guys? Yes. I've heard some of their stuff, yeah. But it wasn't meant to be, however, as Diddy ended up being fired from Uptown Records in 1993, later seeing he was very passionate and didn't understand protocol or workplace politics. So, I got fired because there can't be two kings in one castle. Okay, so more we see that he's kind of just got this I'm better than everyone attitude. Yeah. Well, what if he was, though? Have you considered that? No, but it's kind of an ego thing, and we'll see later on because I have looked over, of course, I have looked over these notes and I have actually watched videos on this on how he's like, what's the word? Like, it's just really sadistic. It's really messed up what happens. Yeah. But as we go on, he would, however, go on to say that being fired was the best thing that could have ever happened to him, and he took what he learned and went on to create Bad Boy Records. He brought with him Notorious B.I.G. or Biggie, and was, of course, extremely successful under Diddy with the 1994 album Ready to Die. And you know what? Not to be that guy, but I mean, he kind of proved that he kind of was like pretty good. I mean, started off very successful. Very, very successful. You know, his success continued, and currently his net worth is $1 billion. Very, very successful businessman. And becoming hip-hop's third billionaire and surpassing Kanye West on the wealthiest artist list in 2022. Damn, which is very surprising. Yeah. Considering how Kanye was in the world. Pete Diddy did make music, didn't he? Yeah, he did. Yeah, I think I was unfortunately bumped into one of his songs this morning, and I didn't know. You were bumping into it in the car, too. It's okay. I mean, I'm the kind of person, I separate the art from the artist. Yeah, I think that's the best. I mean, we all still listen to Michael J. Jackson. Yeah, okay, fair enough. Yeah, but yeah. Okay, so we're going to go into the lawsuit that's currently going on. Yep. Because there is actually multiple. Yep. Basically, the recent lawsuit is under a woman named Cassandra Ventura. Yep, yep. I'm not sure. I don't know anything about her personally. Wasn't she an artist under his record? Yeah, she is his ex-girlfriend, and she did indeed make music, I'm pretty sure. Yeah. Let me just double-check that real quick. Jamie pulled that up? Yep. Brother, do not call me Jamie, man. She is, she is, she is. I don't recognize these songs, though. So we have a lot of allegations here. They might go under the list, the lawsuit. So we have assault. We have, we should probably do like a, what do you call it? Man, what's it called? I'm so stupid right now. What do you mean? Like a, no, what do you call it? Like a, like a warning, I guess? Oh, yeah, trigger warning? Trigger warning, yeah. For like assault, abuse, and things of such nature. You know, obviously, if anyone's sensitive to that stuff. Too bad. Click away. Hey, don't say that. Relax. Just click away. Be respectful. And so now we're, now I'm going to run over the lawsuit. So we have assault, sexual assault. We have abuse, and I'm not talking just slaps. I'm talking like. Torture. Punch, beat, kick. It says here that he stomped on her. Bruises, burst lip, black eyes, and lots of bleeding. He blew up a man's car after that he learned that he was romantically interested in Ms. Ventura, and guess who it was? Wait. It was Lil Cuddy. No, sorry, Kid Cuddy. Really? Kid Cuddy's car? He blew up Kid Cuddy's car. That is cartel-esque. Because Kid Cuddy showed interest in Ventura. He hit on her, showed interest. Wait, wait. Was the plan that Kid Cuddy was supposed to be in the car, or was it just like a warning? It was like a warning. Oh, okay. But actually, no, I think it's labeled under attempted murder, so I'm pretty sure Kid Cuddy was pretty close to the car. Yeah. Yeah, I mean, it also is his car, so I mean. I think basically what happened is he switched off the car, left the car, and then it exploded. Oh, okay. Yeah, it's definitely a warning, but still. That's what happens at murder, bro. Forced Mrs. Ventura into engaging in acts with other men, male sex workers. Ran out of his apartment with a firearm in pursuit of a rival industry executive whom he learned was nearby. Damn. So, another attempted murder. Wait, wait. He ran after, because he found out that another, like an executive from another music industry Yeah. was in the area, and they're like competitors, I guess. Yeah. He ran to that guy with a gun. Damn. He demanded that Mrs. Ventura carry his firearm in her purse just to make her uncomfortable and demonstrate how dangerous he is. Damn. Which is a, actually, I actually watched a video before this, but it was a psychological tactic to make her feel that, like, he was in control by the fact that he left the firearm with her and knew she wasn't going to do anything. And he introduced Mrs. Ventura to a lifestyle of excessive alcohol and substance abuse and forced her to procure prescriptions to satisfy his own addictions. So, basically, he had false prescriptions. Yeah. And, of course, you can only get the recommended dose when you go down to the pharmacy. Yeah. So, he forced her to get the prescriptions as well so he could get double the dose. God. Hold on. Yeah. And, worst of all, when Cassandra met Diddy back in 2005, she was only 19, and he was 37. Damn. So, this guy is just... Seems a bit of a... This guy's just a sicko. Seems kind of, like, you know, grooming. Well, this also... I mean, she was 19, so she was a legal age, but it's still just kind of... Was he famous when they met? Yes. That might be grooming, then. Absolutely. Because, basically, I think it will say later on down this notes, she felt pressured that she wasn't able to decline because it would ruin her reputation as well as, like, cause harm to her and her family and friends. Yeah. You said she was an artist, right? Yep. And he was a big, like, music producer, so... Uh-huh. Yeah. This is also... Yeah. Like, when he was... I mean, should we talk about... What are we going to talk about right now? Where are you at right now? Because... Just a lawsuit right now. Yeah, because there's also, like... There's more, like, grooming. I mean, he was initially groomed. That will actually... When he got signed. Yeah, that will definitely come in later on. There's some... This goes very deep. Yeah. Yeah. So... Sorry, I just lost my train of thought there. She was an aspiring musician, and he signed her up to his record labeled Bad Boy Records, and within months, she had signed 10 album deals. 10. Like... Y'all do not understand how much... Okay, one, she has to put in crazy amount of work for that. Yeah. Yeah. A full... A huge... A lot of... 10 album deals. And, like... The thing is, like... I'm not sure, but a lot of companies like to do this, where if you want to leave their company, you have to pay. Yeah. Yeah, I mean, it's a contract. Yeah, so... So... Honestly, 10 album deals, you're kind of stuck. Like, especially since they release it yearly. So that's... Just to get this recapped, personally forced her to be in a relationship with him, and then professionally forced her to be in a relationship with him. Yes. This guy's a... Professional manipulator. A great-ass comeback. Yeah. In August 2006, she released her self-titled album with Diddy, producing the album, and also featured one of her biggest songs, Me and You, released as a remix, also featuring Young Joe. With Young Joe? Yeah. Okay. I don't know who that is. I think this also further says what Christian was saying, by forcing relationship... Yeah. ...financially, because she wouldn't get these connections without him. No. Because these are big-name people, I'm not even going to lie, especially around that time, Young Joe was like... Yeah, he was huge. ...popping off. You're talking about Young Joe, the bald guy, right? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Wow, yeah, that's... I don't know him. You don't know him? Trust me, Christian, around that time, he was popping off. Yeah. Not big, he was popping off, but... He's very popular. Very up there. Very hip-hop. Cassie was in a relationship with producer Ryan Leslie from 2004 to 2007. It appeared from the start, however, that Diddy was interested, so basically he took her from one of his producers, a man named Ryan Leslie. So you can just tell this guy has no regard for the people around him and the people who work for him. Absolutely. Here it says, he started to push her away from Ryan and forced a divide between them. Diddy was in a long-term relationship with a woman named Kim Porter, which ended in 2007, which is also when Cassie's relationship with her boyfriend ended as well. And Diddy would apparently not allow Ryan around Cassie as long as she was at work. Exactly. Yes. So this was his attempt of splitting them up, and he coerced her into doing drugs. Bear in mind, she's 19. It's a lot for a 19-year-old. She's not even legally allowed to drink because it's the United States, let alone forcing drugs on her. She was very young and impressionable, and Diddy flaunted his wealth, showing his ability to look after her and control her. Diddy had the ability to skyrocket Cassie's career, but in return he seemed to have wanted her obedience and loyalty, which, like we were talking about before, the gleaming, like she's at a young age, she can't really do much, and all of this is probably impressing her so much. I mean, imagine you're just like, dude, imagine even if we were in that position, like 17 years old and someone's flaunting money. Oh, I wouldn't know what to do. Of course you would. Y'all weird, bro. What do you mean? Y'all are so weird, bro. No, I mean, I wouldn't fold. Nah, his was weird. His was weird. Am I signing my, I'm not signing away my gold. You'll fold is a crazy, crazy thing to say. Yeah, Cal's been touching me inappropriately this entire podcast. You know that this is. You know I'm cutting that, right? Yeah, we're cutting that. Yeah, okay, bro. Anyway. You're silencing an abuse victim. Shut up. Anyway, back to it. Let's see here. Diddy recognized Cassie's naivete. Oh, sorry, I don't know why I said that. Naivety. According to the lawsuit, he quickly entrenched himself into every aspect of her life, manipulating and coercing Cassie into a romantic and sexual relationship, despite her apparently initial disgust that the age gap between them. You know, this all has to do with when he first got signed. He's literally doing the same thing to her. What happened to him? What happened to him? Yeah, I actually don't know that part. I'm not sure if it says in this document. Yeah, so he got signed to a record label. I'm pretty sure it's called Uptown Records. Yeah, it was Uptown. Yeah, so Uptown is owned by Arista. So pretty much this all started before Diddy. So Arista, the CEO, he signed this one artist who would then make Uptown Records. And then the CEO of Uptown Records would sign Diddy. And the thing is that the CEO of Uptown Records also groomed and manipulated the CEO of Uptown Records. I mean Arista, the CEO of Arista Records. No, not Diddy. The CEO of Uptown Records. Oh, okay, okay. And then the CEO of Uptown Records did the same to Diddy. So there's a cycle. Yeah, you could definitely see a pattern. I think we could also see that in his ego at the start that like he's kind of in that world and he doesn't really understand. I'm not going to say understand because that justifies what he's done. I'm saying he's just been brought up in this kind of world of like if you're powerful enough you get what you want. Yeah, so pretty much the CEO of Arista Records is Clive Davis. And Arista was huge back then. It was huge. They had Usher signed to them. Well, I'm just, you know, for example, you know how huge he was. Babyface, you know, just all sorts of like, you know, artists. And then the thing is that he, you know, took Andre Harrell under his wing and that is the CEO of Uptown Records. And pretty much, you know, groomed and like, you know, like manipulated him into like doing like homosexual acts and stuff like that, you know. I'm not sure, like, it maybe was consensual, but like what I read, it said it was kind of like, it was 50, it's a gray area, you know. It's like, it's, what did they call it? It's like, it's a power dynamic because it's his boss. Yeah, so it's a gray area. It's the same thing Harvey Weinstein did. Yeah. You know, and then, you know, the Andre Harrell, the CEO of Uptown Records would later on do the same towards Diddy. And I mean just to... And Diddy, I'm pretty sure he was 16 when he got, when he was hired by Uptown Records. It's just to be known that we're not like justifying what Diddy's done. It's just kind of like a dive into understanding. Yeah, no, we're just putting content. Mindset and background, you know. Should I continue or Kelly, you got... Yeah, I mean, he was, I mean, yeah, sure. Just continue. Yeah, it's fine. I mean, he started as an intern in Uptown Records in 1990 at the age of 20. And then up until he got fired in 1997. Yeah, but I'm pretty sure it was a bit earlier. I'm pretty sure it was a bit earlier, like before he was 18 when he was like getting more involved in this. Yeah. I'm not sure because that is from NewYorkPost.com and they're not, they're the slightest of reputable. They're not really reputable. Fair enough. Yes. All right, yeah, continue. Yeah. About Diddy in this case. So I won't go into more detail because it's just kind of very similar things of just Diddy putting her in situations where she can't really say no. You know, supplying her drugs and like putting her in very uncomfortable positions. Yeah. Like, and basically what he'd do is, is if he ever went too far, like I, yes, this is right here. He eventually went too far, like very, very far on beating her one day and stomped on her face and like damaged her like very badly. Yeah. And so he told one of his, I guess not servants, but basically to take her to the hospital. And once she was like back in the health, he would like shower her with gifts and like, you know, just love bomb her. Yeah. And like not touch her and stuff like that and just be super sweet. And then the moment things go back to normal, he goes right back to his actions. Yeah. And he continued to like, you know, provide more famous like names around her and, you know, that involved in her music to, you know, constantly keep this power dynamic of the fact like your, you know, your career is mine and stuff like that. Like, you know, Jay-Z and names like that. And this isn't even the only woman he's done this to. We have another name here. What's that? Lisa Gardner. Same thing. She was also under him. Very similar allegations as well. It's just like this guy's just got very, very large issues. And, you know, he likes to take advantage of these people. And it's very upsetting. Y'all know about it. But like at the same time, those issues don't justify it. No, not at all. You know, even if you have issues, you can. I mean, there's not necessarily a way to like, you know, get rid of those issues, but you can still deal with them, you know. I would say Reverse Oreo has a very bold stance that domestic abuse is bad. Yeah. I think that's a given. But yeah. It's very reasonable. Y'all know about Diddy's white shirt parties, right? No. No. Pretty much Diddy. Oh, that's the one where he invited all the celebrities to it. Yeah. He pretty much, he can get like a white shirt party. Yeah. So pretty much a white shirt party is a Diddy party. And he is able to get pretty much anybody in Hollywood, anybody in the music industry, acting, I'm pretty sure. He can, he's very popular among celebrities. Let's look up some of the people who went to white shirt parties. Yeah. Yeah. I know LeBron hasn't gone to it. I mean, the ones that we know right now, like, I mean, obviously, Biggie went. Justin Bieber. Justin Bieber went. So many. Rick Ross, Jay-Z, Jay-Z too. We could also see like very early on the allegations that we'll be talking about later with the Justin Bieber thing. You guys have seen the clip, right? Where he's like, he's like, oh yeah, why haven't you called me back? And like, just you can tell that Justin Bieber is like really uncomfortable. Yeah. And unfortunately, like, I mean, you know, we can only speculate, but Justin Bieber had to like spend time at his house and live with him for a little while because his parents thought that it would, you know, it would be a better look on Justin for the record and stuff. And it's like, it's a lot of like, it's a lot of like, what do you call it? Like child celebrity stuff and their parents thinking they're like, oh no, you know, this is a reputable person. Nothing will happen and we can only speculate. Yeah. Yeah. There's even like a video of him like, you know, like giving like a Justin Bieber drinks or something like that, even though he is underage. Yeah. There's this one clip. I'm not sure if Justin Bieber was under, I think he was. I think he had just turned 16 in this clip. P. Diddy gifted him this really expensive car. And so, you know. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, you know, you don't want to assume if he did anything like that, you know, or like manipulated and stuff like that, manipulated him or anything like that. But, you know, it's, it's. It's an awful situation. Yeah. And it's a gray area. Yeah. I took a look here. There's nothing Justin Bieber hasn't spoken about. Yeah. Yeah. But, I mean, those are just theories. Do not take this. And the worst part is, is like the way that he does things. It just feels like he just, he doesn't, he genuinely does not look at these people as people. He honestly just looks at them as objects. I mean, there's a woman here. Her name is, sorry. I'm just trying to get the full name here. It just says Joy here. J-O-I. And it shows he doesn't care. It really shows that he doesn't care about his actions. He's just doing what he wants. And now we come to our, I believe, final, final allegation here that's, that's quite disturbing. Quite disturbing. This one seems kind of like a continuation of the cycle, like y'all was talking about earlier. Yeah. By a man named Lil Rod. To be honest, I don't know anything about him, but his name's Rodney Jones, we'll name him. Yeah. And he was a former producer and videographer of Diddy. Yeah. So we can see that it's a continuation, like another producer. I mean, like he was a producer groomed by his, you know, executive producer and before that, you know, and it's a continuation. So basically, he worked on nine songs by Diddy. He lived with Diddy for months at a time. And he's like witnessed and dealt with a lot of things. And dude, this list is insane. So basically, he was forced to do ecstasy, cocaine, GHB, ketamine, marijuana, and mushrooms. He was shown multiple illegal firearms. Mr. Combs, Diddy, provided laced alcoholic beverages to minors and sex workers. Oh, that's where that Justin Bieber comes in. Yep. That's our Jilly. Mr. Combs, chief of staff, instructing her staff to retrieve drugs so she can provide it to Mr. Combs for consumption. Drugging and assaulting women in front of him. Just, dude, there's so much, like, stuff in this list. There's no stuff around them. No, there's child stuff as well. Oh. Yeah. Well, you didn't expect that? I knew it was coming. I mean, that's what the allegation is about. Like, or the biggest allegation right now that's going under investigation is, let me see here. Specifically, I believe it was child pornography since they raided his house. Yeah. Yeah. That was this month, right? Mm-hmm. Yeah. Raided his house with his... Multiple houses, actually. Yep. My goodness. What was I, 40 million? He even said that one day he went over to Diddy's house like he normally does, and they were partying as usual, and he woke up in the next day, like, not remembering a single thing, in bed with Diddy and two sex workers. Oh. And this was a common occurrence. Are you sure you didn't drink that much, or...? No, it was drugs. It was drugs. Diddy provided ecstasy and, like, just, like, put stuff in his drink multiple times. All right. We got to finish up soon, though? Yeah. We got to finish up in five minutes. Anyway. Oh, well. I'm going to cut it out. Yeah, we got to cut it out. Yeah. Cut down on the videos. Well, yeah, just thank you for listening, and... Whoa. Oh, yeah. We got to cut it off properly, brother. We got to, like, smooth it out, and then say goodbye. So it's smooth, and I'll just cut all this out. All right. All right. So, as, you know, as we see here, it's just, like, dude, it's just a lot of manipulation. Mm-hmm. And a lot of continuation of the things that have been done to him, but it's just, like... Yeah, it's depressing. It really, really is. I don't know how hard it is. I don't know. Why is it so hard for, you know, famous people, just celebrities, just to be... Just not to be pedophiles? Honestly, do you know what I think it is? And this isn't my theory. Okay. I think, generally, we're all capable of this. I just think... What? Actually, no. I don't think all of us are capable of that. I'm not going to say that. That's crazy. I think a lot of people are capable of this. They just haven't been given the power to... Bro, relax, man. Just let me fix it. Hold on. I don't think we're all capable. I think a lot of us are, and a lot of us that don't even know that we are, are capable of this. It's just we've never been given the power to do it. Yeah. So when you literally, like, put the power in this guy's... I mean, dude, successful for a couple years, and immediately he's just doing the worst things that, like, a human can do. Yeah. Like, off the bat. Like... Yeah. His criminal acts are just so quick. Yeah. So, you know, man. I just... It's a really depressing episode this week, but I thought we'd talk about it, you know, as something important. Yeah. I mean, we want to thank Christian. Well, actually, you know what? Christian's actually not even a guest. I'm a co-host. Yeah, co-host. So, you know. Hopefully, we'll have him back next episode. Yep. Thank you. I will be back. Yep, you will. And thank you for listening to the Reverse Oreo. Yes. Goodbye. Thank you. Goodbye. Goodbye. Goodbye. Goodbye.
