Nothing to say, yet
In this podcast episode, the hosts discuss the common topic of women not knowing where they want to eat. They talk about how men and women approach restaurant experiences differently, with men focusing on what they want to eat and women considering the overall experience. They also discuss the menus at fast food restaurants and how they haven't changed much over the years. The conversation then shifts to the topic of selling deer meat and whether it is legal or not. Finally, they briefly mention Puff Daddy and a settlement he made with a woman named Cassie, speculating on the reasons behind the settlement. They also explain the difference between criminal charges and civil suits. You are now tuned in to the most ignorant podcast in America, this is the unemployment line, I am the D.O.K. and I'm sitting here with my main man Larry P. What you got to say my man? Um, I just found it amazing. Like I know this is a common topic. Um, but it just amazes me every time, like, women's ability to like, not know where they want to eat. The crazy thing about it is you always like, they always ask you what to eat, but you gotta like mentally prepare your head that the first three, two to three suggestions, they gonna get shut down. So don't even think to mention for one and two something that you really want. Cause they shutting that one down regardless. Well see I can't speak for all women, but in my experience, there's like, me and my old lady approach our restaurant experiences differently. So let me ask you a couple of questions. When you think about what you want to eat, do you think about what you want to eat or where you want to go? I think about what I want to eat. Okay, so when you, so when you make the decision that I want food and you know what you want to eat, do you even bother to look at the menu when you get there? So this is my thing. So I think about two things. I think about one, what do I want to eat? But at the same time, I think about the mood that she's in. Like, is she in a fast food mood or is she in a sit down mood? Because if that's the case, you know what I'm saying? Hey, what you want to eat? Chick-fil-A is always an easy go to that a lot of women could just go there and pick up the menu. But if she's not in a fast food mood, then you like, hmm. But then you got, you got different tiers. See, I never feel the need to look at Chick-fil-A's menu. See, that's it. That's just the type of person I am, though. Like, if you tell me right now, hey, doc, I'm about to, you know, door dash some Chick-fil-A, I'm going to tell you right away, hey, get me a spicy deluxe. Well, that's the thing. I don't need like, but the problem is women are thinking about the full experience. We're just trying to accomplish the goal. The goal is I'm hungry. I need food. They're thinking, where am I going to enjoy my restaurant experience the most? Yeah, I go, I got a, I got a, I got a item on just about every restaurant that we could go to. And then if I do go to a restaurant where I don't have an idea of what I want to eat, I'll look at the menu. And, you know, they usually, she's usually like, you know what you want? And I'd be like, nah, but by the time I wait to get here, I'll know. And then even if I don't know, by the time I wait to get there, I say, I either say, I'm looking at these two items, which one would you choose? And they tell me which one to choose. Or I just, you know, I'll go chef special. And I'll be like, what's your favorite thing here? And then they'd be like this. And I'll be like, yeah, bring me that. Maybe the way that you like it. That's the good thing about the sit down restaurant is unless you're in a hurry, it's less of a laborious experience because you can always buy yourself some time. You can always say, you know what? Let me look at the drink menu and order something while I'm thinking about what I want to eat. Let's order an appetizer while I think about what I want to eat. You can't do that at Chick-fil-A, though. You at the Chick-fil-A drive-thru and you twiddling your thumbs. It's like, listen, man, you either want strips or you want a sandwich. Why is it taking you so long? This is the thing about those menus, though, like fast food restaurant menus, they haven't changed. I mean, they've changed. But, you know, we in our 30s at this point, like for 30 years, the menus have been the same. The Big Mac has been the number one on the McDonald's menu for years. And that has not changed. Chalupa's been number six on Taco Bell menu for years. They have changed it now to just being chicken chalupas. They used to have an option of chicken, steak or beef, but now they just made them chicken chalupas. Wait, they took away the steak and the beef chalupas? Well, I think the steak was mystery meat. No, no, no, don't disrespect Taco Bell like that. Taco Bell's steak was mystery meat. The beef was probably beef. No, the steak quesadilla at Taco Bell is still, it's OK. It's mystery meat. Yeah, but it's better mystery meat than the beef. What you think that ground beef is? I mean, the ground beef could be ground whatever, but that steak. Exactly. That steak is whatever they found in the ground. Check this out, check this out, check this out, check this out. Anywhere you can go and get steak for the price that you're getting the steak at Taco Bell, you have to understand that ain't steak. I didn't say it was like a ribeye or a filet. It's like, what do they call a thing, like the little strip steak? It might be venison, bro. I ain't lying. If it was venison, that'd cost more than that. You think, like, think about it. No, venison don't cost nothing. You just go shoot it. Yeah, but, yeah, if you go shoot it, it don't cost nothing. But if you buy it, you can't sell deer. You can't sell deer? There's not a law? Yeah. Wow, that's crazy. Yeah, you can't sell that. So how people be selling it? People be selling it. They don't be selling deer. They be selling deer black market. No, probably black market. People come to you and be like, I got that deer sausage. They be giving it away. Now, they charge you to, like, if you don't know how to cut the deer and all that stuff, like, they'll charge you to cut it and chop it up. But as far as, like, if you ever, like, go up to a person that, like, hunts, like, they'll give you the deer for free because they're like, we can't sell this. But here, have some deer. I didn't know that was, like, a rule. Is that, like, on the books? I don't know. I just know every person I know, I be like, yeah, let me buy some. They be like, nah, man, I'll just give it to you because you can't sell it. Let's look it up right quick. Can you sell deer meat? This is an important question. The sale of game birds and game animals or parts is prohibited. Wow. Except that processed products of lawfully taken game birds and animals other than those made from edible portions. So I guess, like, if, you know, people, you just ain't going to see that food line. Yeah. And the meat section. So, yeah. But, like, your friend is going in people's backyards doing hunting season and shooting. Like, he ain't shooting that deer and going and selling it for profit. He's shooting that deer. And like I said, at the end of the day, he's probably giving it away. If he is selling it, he's selling it under the table. Eat what you kill. Yeah. But that's what I said. Like venison? Yeah. I believe Taco Bell steak is venison. Speaking of Taco Bell steak, what are we talking about this week? We talking about, we not really talking about Puffy, but we talking about Puffy. Or the take that take that man, that's what people call him. And that's a wild boy, man. I know. Like, here's the thing, man. I want to start here. We've talked about cancel culture on this show for years. And how it's, like, not really a thing. Y'all don't want to cancel Puffy. Y'all really do not want to cancel Puffy. See, this is the thing, man. This is really what I wanted to talk about, like, you know, when it comes to Puffy. Like, we going to talk about Puffy, but we really not going to. Like, as always, we talking about the person. But we talking about y'all. Yeah, but we talking about y'all. Like, this is the thing about it, man. Like, this whole Puff situation, Cassie, and at this point, you know, whatever. Like, the red carpet's rolling out at this point. But people just be so, like, ready to, like, jump down the legal system's throat when it works for them. But when it don't work against them, they be ready to jump down the legal system's throat. You know, all these, I guess, Puffy supporters or Cassie haters be like, oh, man, all she trying to do is get a check. And, like, look, man, I done watched a lot of seasons of Suits. And that got to be the fastest settlement I've ever seen. Now they say, look, a settlement is not a mission of guilt. However, usually when I watch Suits, when that settlement in 24 hours, they probably need to have a deposition. When he comes cutting that check that fast, he's like, all right, man, let's keep this on the hush. Because there's either two things that's happening here. Either Cassie's telling the truth or two, he trying to stop all the whistleblowers from coming out. Or it's just not worth fighting. So I know we got a couple of attorneys who listen to this show. And I saw a couple of people in the legal profession comment on this. So let me break it down in the most simplest way for those of you who are not familiar with how the law works. So Cassie, as an individual, cannot file criminal charges against Puff Daddy. She doesn't like you can't do that. But what she can do is she can go and say, hey, Puff Daddy did something to me. And then a prosecutor can then move forward with that. Right. Which I don't know if she did or did not do. But what she can do as an individual, just like any of us could do. That's about civil suit. Same thing with Amber Heard. Amber Heard, Johnny Depp. Like he can't. We can't place criminal charges, but he did a civil suit. And here's the way that the civil suit works. Did this did Sean Combs do something to Puff Daddy to Cassie that warrants him having to pay her some level of compensation because of something he did wrong? So she asked for a number based upon what she felt the level of wrongdoing was. And he immediately came back and said, hey, I'll give you $12,000,000 to drop this. And that's pretty much what happened. Like, I think she asked. I don't know the exact number. So allegedly she she asked for 30 and I think he gave her 12. Yeah, I don't even know how much she got. By him giving her by him settling at the 12th. What happens is now we do not move forward with the trial. Correct. Because that's what you don't want. Right. If you're P.D. Right. You don't want people to come out and testify and discuss the things that you were doing. Because then it all falls apart. And for however, I don't know if it's an admission of guilt, but is $12,000,000 worth it to possibly not lose all the money you have? But this is another part about it where, like I say, hey, look, this is what I've argued with people on Facebook. They're like, yeah, the settlement is an admission of guilt. I think the admission of guilt, but the court of public opinion look bad. It looked bad. Like, you know, where there's smoke, there is fire. You know, one one person come out and say, Bill Cosby raped me. OK, cool. But she got her message out. All you need is about 15 more to come. And it's like, oh, OK. One masseuse said, hey, Deshaun Watson, he be giving happy endings and pulling his penis out on me. That's one. But when 21 more come out, it's like, hey, bro, this ain't looking too good. So, yeah, you can settle with Cassie. But at the point, the story is already out there. Now you got now you got all these stories about he done hell while lay upside down off the balcony. He done he done blew up a kid, cut his car. He some woman saying that he raped her back in 1991. Like at this point in time, I think he squabbled with Drake. Allegedly, it's a slippery slope. Apparently he did something to J.Cole. Like it's that pump daddy's a menace the way the way that the stories are coming up. But here's here's the here's the beauty of money, because I know this is one of the things we want to get into. Here's the beauty of money. He got enough money where he can get people to not talk about it. And you can keep getting away with this stuff. But the problem is the problem is eventually you reach a point where you don't got enough money to fight it. Or you run into that one person that don't care. R. Kelly, that was R. Kelly. Situation got way messed up when it wasn't like the first person or the second person or the person. It was the person who was just like, no, I don't want your money. I want you to go to jail. Right. And he needs to be concerned that he might run into that person because it sounds like he wronged a lot of people. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And that's what I'm and that's what I was talking. I was like, I like to get to a point where you've been paying people off. But eventually that room, that room has to catch up to you. You know, I look at Chuck Knight, for example, right. Chuck Knight was out there bullying the whole industry. And then eventually they were the eyes. Mm hmm. You're going to jail. You can only bully so many people. Think about OJ. So you think about OJ situation. OJ allegedly killed somebody. No, kill two people. Allegedly was able to hire. And this was a criminal case, but he was able to have a legal team that was strong enough to put enough doubt in the jury's mind where they cannot convict him. And OJ kept doing stuff. Mm hmm. Allegedly. And eventually they locked him up. Now they locked him up on the left of charge. And so now OJ is out here podcasting and on social media. But that's besides the point. Hello, world of hate for the world is yours truly. OJ Simpson. But eventually it will catch up to you if you don't change your ways. I think that's the biggest thing for Puff is he just refuses to evolve into the person that he tries to tell us that he is. He doesn't tell us that he's this good person, that he's all about spreading love, that he's out here about the music, that he cares about these people and their families. But there's all these evidence of people saying now he does dirty business. He's out here. He's he's a misogynist. And he's an abuser and all of these things. And he's going to keep having to spend his money. And so all these stories go to go away. I think the rumor is out. There's also a rumor that he's been trying to pay off Danny McCain for the longest so they could shut up. But Aubrey won't take the money when we come back. I want to talk about when people won't take the money. That's the unemployment line.
