Jonathan Owens and Simone Biles Owens were in a relationship, but they broke up. Jonathan may have been jealous of Simone's success as a gymnast and felt overshadowed by her. Simone felt supported by Jonathan during her difficult time with the Larry Nassar situation. It can be a challenge for women to balance career and relationships, while men often prioritize their careers first. Jonathan may not have known much about Simone's gymnastics career because he was focused on his own football career. Simone's success could lead to opportunities like a reality TV show and endorsement deals. There's also the possibility of a financial settlement if they were to divorce. Overall, there were some misunderstandings and challenges in their relationship. And we're back right here on the unemployment line talking about Jonathan and Simone Biles. I mean, Jonathan Owens and Simone Biles Owens. And while we were in the break, we were doing we were consulting with our staff, the research department, to make sure that we had filled in all the holes of the story for those who don't know. So, first of all, I just want to say Simone Biles is a great woman, greatest of all time at her sport. Simone Biles has also been through a lot. She, along with several other gymnasts, were involved in the whole Larry Nassar situation where he allegedly was assaulting many of the gymnasts. Simone Biles also had a long term boyfriend who was also a gymnast prior to being with Jonathan Owens. You think Buddy be punching the air? Oh, no, no. You know what it is? I'm going to tell you. It's another one of those situations where what Jonathan Owens said, I am the catch. Like either old buddy also thought he was the catch and she knew he wasn't or he was treating her like he didn't know. He I don't feel like old buddy was treating her right. And you know what? And that may be a mischaracterization because they was together for like two years and some change. But I don't know, maybe during the time where she was having like all that stuff, like the sexual assault and the stress and all that stuff. Maybe he wasn't as supportive as he should have been. Well, so he wasn't around for that. So the sort of where all comes to head is I think it was the 2020 Olympics, which actually happened in 2021 because of covid. That's when Simone Biles had walked away and was just like, I'm just not going to be competing anymore at that time. She was with Jonathan Owens. And from her description, he was holding her down to the whole situation. Like everybody, everybody turning on me, but my man here. And that's all she was caring about. Like I know somebody who's taking care of me. You know what it was? You know what it was? Dude was jealous. Could you say he was a gymnast? He was a gymnast, too. So here goes Simone Biles getting all these medals, you know, doing her thing. And here go him. He's a gymnast, too. He got the same dreams of getting medals, but he ain't as good as Simone Biles. You know, so as a gymnast, all he will ever do is live in her shadow. Because one of the things Simone said, she was like, oh, yeah, me and my husband argue about who's the better athlete. You can't have that argument with somebody. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm a better athlete than you. Actually, scoreboard. Take the medals, buddy. So here are my medals. Is that yours? Oh, you don't have any medals. Oh, yeah. So I think you should go washing dishes. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. As my brother, Dr. Umar, once said, you know, she needs a real strong alpha male to handle all that. And that wasn't him. And now she now she feels like she got one. But let me this is the point I was trying to make before the break, though. It is a challenge for women to put. Career and relationship on the same tier, and men are just built differently when it comes to that. We're designed where it's like put career first, the relationship will come. The more successful I become, the more my opportunities to meet the right person will come along. Like, that's just that's how it works for for the male species. We don't want to know why. Because naturally and psychologically in our brain, the way the reason it's easy for us to do that is because we assume that there will be a submissive woman that can basically take care of the other stuff. When it comes to like the house, there's a submissive woman that she can like Simone Biles. OK, well, yeah, I care about love more than I care about my career. So I can sit back and take care of the kids and take care of the house and do all this for the time being. Whereas the man is like, well, I got to pay these bills. Somebody got to pay him. So, you know, I don't know. It's just easy for women to just be like we can step away. But psychologically, men are like, yeah, well, the woman goes, the woman goes that way because she got to take care of them kids. And so what Simone's experiencing and, you know, you know how our show works, we talk about Simone, we talk about y'all. Simone's experience is something that professional women experience like I am excelling in my career. But there's a window opportunity for me to get a man and I won't lose that man because there's a diminishing amount of opportunities for me to find a good man as I get older. And so whatever I need to do to keep my good man happy, that's what I'm going to do. Opening to including I will quit my job. I've got enough money. Cisco said, even though it seems I have everything, I don't want to be a lonely fool. Look at that. And Simone started writing on the wall early and like he wasn't even asking for all that. Like he like he you know, I really feel like, you know, put that man head up. I feel like his career trajectory has been significantly improved by him having her in his life. Well, let's look at it now. Now, if you really want to dig, dig a little bit deeper. Let's talk about the money bags. Right. That are really getting secure. Because everybody talks about like, oh, Simone Biles husband, Simone. All right. Money bag. Number one. Reality TV show. Mm hmm. The Biles Owens, the Owen Biles. I don't know what they gonna name it. But that reality TV show. Money bag. Number one. Money bag. Number two. He done got it out the mud. He doesn't show that he could be he could professionally play football. We already know she decorated kids. Let's talk about it, man. Come on now. The low arm Biles Owens kids. Everything's all right now, buddy. Hey, them kids is gonna be well, either they gonna be football players or they gonna be gymnast. Oh, who knows? They may be basketball players. Who knows? But they gonna be some athletes out there. Big facts. Because they got it. And money bag. Number two. Money bag. Number three. Who knows, man? They got endorsement deals. Every kiss begins with K or money bag. Number four. Let's say it don't work out. And I'm not wishing evil on them, but let's say it don't work out. And they go and they sit in front of the judge and they try to sort things out. And he look at them and he was like, hey, I'm accustomed to a lifestyle. I've been married to Simone Biles for all these years. You expect me to just go back to the mud? No, I feel like she should, you know, cut me some cut me a few checks based upon the situation. I mean, it could happen. I'm not wishing that on them. I'm just saying. This brother just came up. He's living the dream. All I'm saying is, look, man, it's a lot of opportunity within this whole relationship that, you know, all right. People have is that one. This man said he was a catch to this man said that he didn't know who Simone Biles was. And as me and Doc was talking about this during the during the break, a lot of women don't understand. That both of those could be true facts. I don't know who Simone Biles is. And you got to paint this to like a lot of people. This man went into the NFL in 2018. Undrafted. The Summer Olympics happened during the summertime. Summer camp happens during the summertime for a football team. This man trying to make it on a 53 man roster. This man ain't got time to watch no Olympics. He probably truly has no idea who Simone Biles is because he's sitting around not knowing if he got to be on a team, watching four hours of film in the gym two times a day, two days on the field. And then at the end of the day, if he is watching a little bit, he was no gymnastics. No, you watch it. You watch in the track. You watch a track and swimming. Basketball. Basketball. Yeah. That's what he watched. He ain't taking no time to watch no gymnastics. No, he just was likely to watch archery, which you don't know who this great archer is. No, no, I don't. What are you talking about? It's a grown man. It's true that this man has no idea who Simone Biles is. You probably like that. Don't I want to date a fan? If you're a woman, you don't want to date no fan. Yeah, that's probably another thing. Buddy probably was too much of a fan of Simone Biles. Oh, yeah, because they do the same thing. Oh, Simone, I just love the way you flip. Oh, you're just so amazing. And she's like, yeah, yeah, I know I'm amazing. I know I'm amazing. Like, tell me something. Tell me something I don't know. What do you do? And then he come in there because, you know, you are if you're a defensive back, you got to be cocky. Like when you play DB, like, you know, like you have to believe that there's not a person who's going to line up in front of you that can cook you. Otherwise you won't get cooked. And like, that's just the life. That's the life of a defensive back playing football, especially at the NFL level. So, of course, he thinks he's the best thing to slice bread. He has to. Otherwise he won't make the team. He probably heard him like, oh, some cute gymnastic photo. I mean, photos, you got you any good. Because they said it was like there was like some exclusive dating app where they have to vet you. And you have to make a certain amount of money. And so, like, he's probably in the app like, oh, what you do? You're like a famous gym teacher or something. What you do you on your reality TV? You are you want you a bad girl? You don't bad girls club. Not you. Oh, you play. You went in the Olympics. And she probably like, are you serious? Do you really not know who I am? Do you not know who I am? I'm a football player. She probably played for the Texans. But you know what? The mom probably Googled me and then you Google it like, oh. Oh, oh, you want a little metal? That's cool. That's cool. Hey, but let me tell you about my combine shuttle drill. You know, I'm saying, yeah, yeah, yeah. I was in a fail that were cool. Anybody can flip. But like, can you go out there and hit a grown man full speed? You ever got an interception? I have. Yeah, you can't do that. Yeah, you four foot eight. I'm taller than that. The fact that the fact that she says that they argue about who's the better athlete. And he means it. And he means it. He means it. Like she has world. Like you, you beaten people in the same city, same state. She is beating people across the world. So here's the other thing. And this is what I was meaning about like not letting the outside noise get to you. I think she says something to the extent of like, um, they're going to remember me as like his wife and not him for being my husband. And everybody's just like, whatever, girl. Like, she means that. Why y'all don't want her to be happy? Yeah. And that's a, that's the thing. Like, you know, if you look in the comment sections, like posts about this stuff, man, women are like, I, I, Simone, don't be crying to us. When he, when he break up with you. Why? No. Okay. He got narcissistic. He got narcissists written all over him. I'm like, why? Where's your man? Cause he said he didn't catch. Let me see. And here's the other thing. Um, these things are all subjective. So let's say, um, he is Jonathan Owens, undrafted, uh, NFL player goals. It makes a football team starts making like six million salary for the next few years. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. That's real appealing to, you know, a woman who like, you know, works as a, work as a teacher. That's real appealing to somebody who works, who sells real estate. That's real appealing to somebody who work in the bank. Like for all of those women, they looking at him like, Oh man, I could just get one catch. If I can get, if he gave me three minutes, maybe even four, um, I would take care of him. I rub his feet. I rub his back. All kinds of stuff. Simone knows what she's competing with. She know all y'all raggedy women in the DMS is just waiting for her to slip So y'all can slide in his DMS and be like, you know, I think it's funny how she's out here doing all of these flips, but nobody took the opportunity to take a tumble with you. You know, I would clearly go to the mat for you. And I would learn how to balance my life so that you can put a ring on this finger. But this is another thing. Ain't nobody going to appreciate my poem with all my gymnastics references just now. But that was fire. That was off the dome just now. Yeah. Congratulations. But, uh, I am the cat, but this is my thing, man. Like every, every like in this is mainly women. You don't get a lot of men, uh, caring about this, but mainly women praying for the downfall of this marriage, which I don't understand. Black women praying for the downfall. Same, same book, same people that were, um, criticizing her for getting married and not having her hair done and not having an expensive dress. And just all these things like that was criticizing her hair. Not being done. Yeah. Cause you know, I think they just went and they said they didn't want to do like anything like lavishly. So they just, when they got married and just, she, I think she said she had like a thousand dollars. Oh my God. So the same thing came up with Gabby Douglas when she was in the Olympics and it was like, y'all are, y'all gotta understand the difference between being like on TV because of like your, because you are like on a dating show or you are a host of some program versus being on TV because you're an athlete. A lot of athletes don't be worried about their hair and that's men and women. Like I heard Gilbert arenas break it down. About like basketball players. And it was like, if a basketball player got a good lineup and waves, like he probably ain't that good. If your hair is nicely done and fresh, you probably not going to be the best gymnast out there. You worried about the wrong stuff. Right. Like if you remember Gabby Douglas hair, toe up, Simone Biles hair, toe up. What do they have? Gold medals. That's the way it works. Yeah, that is. But like I said, man, the same people like, I understand. Like even with the way, like I was like, I was, I was actually admiring low, wet, low scale wedding, thousand dollar dress. Like y'all, y'all, y'all spending your money the way y'all supposed to be spending it. He was spending his money like an undrafted NFL player. And she was spending her money like somebody that ain't won gold medals. When we come back, I want to talk about how y'all turn relationship goals into relationship. Envy. That's the unemployment law.
