Are The Children at Home?

"Are The Children at Home?" is a poem written by Margaret Elizabeth Sangster, a well-known American poet, author, and editor in the late 19th and early 20th century. This poem was featured in the Fortnightly Poetry project in 2012, and LibriVox volunteers recorded 16 different versions of it. Sangster was also a prolific writer of children's stories, with "Little Jamie" written when she was only seventeen years old. Her most popular works were "Hours with Girls" and "Winsome Womanhood".
