The transcript is a guided relaxation and confidence-building session. Mary Vassen asks the listener to find a safe place, relax, and focus on their breath. She counts down from 10 to 1, guiding the listener to relax more with each breath. She encourages the listener to release tension and imagine a calming place. The listener is then prompted to recall a time when they felt confident and turn up their confidence using a control. Mary emphasizes that it's okay to make mistakes and that confidence is built by facing challenges. She reminds the listener to love themselves and concludes by bringing them back to full awareness. This is Mary Vassen. Welcome to confidence. Please make sure you are in a safe place and never listen to hypnosis when driving or doing anything which requires that you pay close attention. And before you begin to relax deeply, I invite you to think of one example in your life where you would like to feel more confident. Just one very specific instance. Make sure you have one particular example in mind. Now, take a deep breath and allow yourself this time to relax. Make yourself comfortable. And when you are ready, you can just let those eyes close and bring your attention to your breath. And as you become more aware of your breathing, you might begin to notice the subtleties of the rhythm of the air going in and out. And there's a part of your mind that may be listening to me. And another part of your mind may drift off. And that's just perfect. Because your unconscious mind will take in everything it needs. And your body knows how to relax. And in a moment, I'm going to count down from 10 to one. And with every breath, you can feel even more relaxed. I invite you to give yourself the permission to release any tension you might notice in your body. This is the time to reset to recharge. 10 allowing your jaw to relax, to loosen and to rest. Nine, letting the back of your tongue relax. And I wonder if your jaw can drop even more. Eight, imagining a wave of comfort, washing over your entire body. Seven, imagining another wave of relaxation, moving from your head all the way down to your toes. And you might notice that your neck and shoulders are relaxing. Six, blanketed in softness. Five, so deeply relaxed as this comfort surrounds and permeates your entire body. Four, becoming even more relaxed. Three, imagine another wave of deep relaxation, comfort. Two, relaxing deeper and deeper. Still. One, so completely comfortable, and so deeply relaxed. And I wonder if you can imagine a safe place that is very relaxing for you. A place that you find very calming, secure, and peaceful. Maybe you've been there, or maybe you just like to go. Perhaps in your imagination, you can go there now, towards this soothing, beautiful place of safety and comfort. And as you are there in your mind, I wonder if you can just notice the beauty of this place, taking in the colors, the light, and becoming aware of the sounds that surround you. And really tuning in to the feel of this beautiful place, the textures, the sensations in your body. I wonder if you can just notice for a minute how it feels so good to be here now. A place of clarity, calm, peace. And as you relax in this beautiful, calming place, you can go deeper now, relaxing even more. Still, deeper and deeper, relaxed. And as you are enjoying the calm and peace in this beautiful place in your imagination, I invite you to recall a time when you were confident. A time when you knew you were capable. You felt it. You knew it. Perhaps that confidence had something to do with what you were doing, or something you had accomplished. It might have been recent, or maybe it was when you were young. I wonder if you can just feel what it felt like. Feel those feelings now. Really breathe those feelings in, into your heart. And as you're breathing into your heart, feel what you felt back then. Hear what you heard and see what you saw. And notice the sensations in your body when you felt so confident. Really let those feelings sink in deeper and deeper. And I'd like you to imagine that there is a control in front of you, a control for confidence. Maybe it's a dial, or a lever, or some other type of control. I invite you to turn it down just a little. That's right. Just turn it down a little. And now, I wonder if you can turn it up. That's right. Higher. See if you can double that feeling of confidence. You are confident. You are becoming even more confident. You are more and more confident in who you are. Confident that you are learning how to be even more confident, strong, certain. And I wonder if you might begin to notice how you feel more confident doing certain things. And I wonder if you will notice how you feel different, more confident. And there's a part of you that probably understands that confidence is built by doing things that challenge you. Sometimes we have fear of doing something difficult, because we think we shouldn't make mistakes. Remember, it's okay to make mistakes. It's how we learn. Success is about recovery. And it's okay to have some fear. That's just fine. You can move forward and just bring that fear with you. Confidently moving forward. Noticing how you are showing up more and more confident, feeling confident in being you, knowing you are enough. You are loved. And remember to love you. If you're ready, you can start coming back to your full awareness. One, feeling strong, feeling more certain. Two, your eyes are clearing and you know you are moving forward. Three, gently open your eyes, you're awake, and notice how different you feel.
