A 30-year-old woman has been trying to get pregnant for two years but has been unsuccessful. She is experiencing heavy periods and pain during intercourse. A four-centimeter submucosal fibroid was found in her uterus. The next recommended step for her is to undergo a hysteroscopic myomectomy. So let's just do a quick review of our patient and what we know about her. She's a 30-year-old female, G0-P0, who's been unable to conceive for the past two years. She does desire fertility. She's having symptomatic heavy periods and pain during intercourse. There was a submucosal fibroid noted on the hysterosinography. The fibroid is four centimeters. So what do we do? The next step, it's recommended for her to have the hysteroscopic myomectomy.
