In this message, Sister Melissa encourages listeners to understand the plan God has for their lives. She emphasizes that God has separated and ordained each person for a greater purpose. She explains that holiness does not mean perfection, but rather being set aside for something greater. The Holy Spirit sanctifies and purifies believers, giving them a new perspective on life. Sister Melissa urges listeners to come back to the cross and accept Jesus' forgiveness, allowing them to become new creatures in Christ. She concludes by reminding listeners that the blood of Jesus has the power to make all things new and enable them to preach the gospel.
Good morning, everyone. Many blessings to you all. Sister Melissa here. Again, I hope everyone is having an amazing day in the Lord Jesus Christ. Our God is able. Our God is good. Our God is always willing to do a new thing within each and every one of us who comes to understand exactly what Jesus Christ did for us on the cross. He came over 2,000 years ago to redeem us. And God, in this day, is calling you to come to His presence, to know Him, and to continue having a profound relationship with Him.
It is 10 a.m., July 28, 2023. And yes, you guessed it, I am back with another message from the Lord. This message is found in the book of Leviticus, chapter 20, verse 26. And the Word of God says, And you shall be holy to me, for I the Lord am holy, and have separated you from the people that you should be mine. That is so good, I'm going to reread it. And you shall be holy to me, for I the Lord am holy, and have separated you from the people that you should be mine.
I want to encourage you this morning, because the Lord has a plan for your life. Yes, He has an amazing plan for your life. And the reason why you have gone through what you have gone through, and have still made it out with victory, is because God, even before you were in your mother's womb, had already ordained you, and pre-established you and I, and have predestined our lives to live in a victorious way. God has separated us, has hand-picked us, and has said, You are mine, and I am yours.
And the reason why we have been separated is simply because God has a plan for our lives. The Word of God says that we are to be holy. Holiness is not perfection. Holiness is not being perfect or walking perfect. Holiness means, I'm setting you aside for something greater. I am taking you out of where you are, and I am positioning you for a greater purpose. And the one who sanctifies us, and the one who purifies us, is Jesus Christ.
The Holy Spirit is the one who, when God separates us, He begins to sanctify us. The Holy Spirit begins to purify us. The Holy Spirit begins to give us a new perspective on life. The Holy Spirit is the one who comes in and takes up residency within our inner being, and the Holy Spirit connects with our spirit and begins to manifest the things of God, the things of the Spirit, that before we came to Christ, we could not comprehend, and we could not understand.
But because God is sovereign, because God is merciful, He has given us the immense privilege of knowing who He is. Why? Because He has sanctified us. He has set us aside. He has separated us for a purpose. Yes, you are that one God has been looking for this whole entire time. Even Him knowing exactly where you are and the condition that you're in, He still chose to go out. And with cords of love, He chose to bring you back to His presence, and not only bring you back and bring me back, but He also now says, you are mine and I am yours.
Because I have separated you from the world, and I have ordained your step, and I have come to give you a new life. Anyone who comes to Jesus, anyone who surrenders their lives into the hands of the Creator and accepts what Jesus Christ has done on the cross, becomes a new creature in Christ Jesus. And all old things, they pass away, and we become whom God has already ordained for us to become. And that is a holy nation under God, willing and ready to rise up and say, I am going to follow God.
I am going to follow after Jesus, because I need Him in my life. I can't live without Him. And you and I can begin to walk in the newness of life that God has predestined for us to live out. You are never too far gone to come back to the cross where it all began, where Jesus poured out His blood, where Jesus poured out His heart, where Jesus poured out everything that is within Him to let us know that I am here, and I am ready and willing to forgive you of your sins.
If you will come to the knowledge of the cross, believe with your heart, confess with your mouth that you are a sinner, and believe with your heart that I came to give you life, that I came to set you free, because that is exactly what the cross has done for us. The cross came to set us free. The cross came to sanctify us. The cross came so that we would have a new life, a new and profound encounter with Jesus Christ.
And this is the greatest gift, as it says in Leviticus chapter 20 verse 26, and you shall be holy to me, for I the Lord am holy, and have separated you from the people. You and I have been separated for a greater purpose. Don't fight it any longer. Come to the cross, where it all begins, and let the Holy Spirit work and do what only the blood of Jesus can do, and that is sanctify us, setting us aside for God's honor and God's glory, purifying us, making us new, allowing and enabling us to go out and to preach the gospel in Jesus' name.
Our God is amazing, and no matter what you face and what I face in this life, the blood of Jesus has the power to come in and make all things new, to wash us and cleanse us and purify us and sanctify us and set us aside for God's great honor and great glory. I pray in the name of Jesus that this message has blessed your heart, your soul, and your spirit, and I pray that in this day you will make the choice to become holy, sanctified, set aside for God's honor and God's glory, but it's only through the cross, it's only through what Jesus Christ has done, can we become holy, sanctified, purified, transformed, and redeemed.
I pray that this has blessed you. Until the next time, many blessings to you all. Bye-bye for today.
