French I - Lesson 01

This is Unit 1 of Pimsleur's French 1. In this conversation, an American man tries to start a conversation with a French woman. He asks if she understands English and she says no. He then asks if she is American and she says yes. Throughout the conversation, the listener is encouraged to repeat the words and phrases to practice pronunciation. He wants to begin a conversation, so he says, Excuse me. Pardon. The French speaker is going to repeat this word part by part, starting from the end.
