Before we begin, hypnosis is a beautiful, natural state of relaxation, concentration and imagination. It's something you experience every day, like getting lost in a good book, or watching a movie, even as you drift off to sleep. So finding a comfortable position and closing your eyes down, take a deep breath in, and exhale slowly, allowing your body to let go. Do this two more times, inhaling deeply, and exhaling slowly, letting go. Breathing in, exhaling, letting go, and as you continue to breathe deeply, imagine a loving golden light moving through your body. Imagine this beautiful light flowing down from the top of your head, all the way to the tips of your toes, bringing with it a sense of warmth, love and relaxation. Feel this golden light moving down your neck and shoulders, releasing and relaxing any tension, tightness or stress, just letting it go. Imagine a warm light moving down your arms, all the way to the tips of your fingers, and feel yourself becoming more and more relaxed with each breath. Now let the light flow down your chest and abdomen, soothing away any worries or stress as it goes. Allow the warm sensation to move down your hips and legs, relaxing each and every muscle, allowing yourself to drift deeper. Finally feel the light flowing all the way down to your feet, your toes, allowing yourself to feel completely at peace. Now imagine yourself in a peaceful place, real or imagined, it could be a beach, a forest or a meadow, whatever comes to mind just let it be. Imagine yourself there, feeling completely relaxed and calm. Notice the colours around you, are they vibrant or soft? Notice the sounds and the environment, are there birds chirping, waves crashing or leaves rustling? Breathe in the sense of the place, do you smell the ocean, the forest or flowers? Take a moment to explore this peaceful place with all of your senses, feel the softness of the grass beneath your feet or the warmth of the sun on your skin. Hear the gentle sound of the breeze or the rustle of leaves. See the beauty of your surroundings, taking in the colours and shapes around you. As you continue to focus on this peaceful scene, repeat after me, relax. Let the word relax sink into your mind and body and feel yourself becoming more and more relaxed with each breath. Now repeat after me peace, let the word peace fill you with a sense of calm and tranquility. Finally repeat after me release. Let the word release help you let go of any stress or tension you may be holding on to. Now on your own repeat these three words to yourself, relax, peace, release. Your powerful mind now attaching the words relax, peace and release to this wonderful feeling you are in. From this moment on, whenever you feel stressed or overwhelmed, you can say them silently to yourself in any situation. Your powerful mind will bring you back into this beautiful, relaxed place. Relax, peace and release. Those three words, yours forever. Relax, peace, release. Now breathing in and exhaling slowly, bringing awareness back into the room, feeling good, feeling relaxed, feeling the chair or bed beneath you. Breathing again, wiggling your fingers and toes and on the count of three, opening your eyes, knowing now you have a powerful tool to use whenever needed.
