Nothing to say, yet
The podcast discusses the concept of reinventing oneself. It highlights how our beliefs and behaviors are influenced by our environment and the need to question and challenge societal norms. The speaker emphasizes the importance of acknowledging our deficiencies and understanding our purpose in life. Examples of successful individuals who reinvented themselves are mentioned, emphasizing the need to challenge the status quo and make changes. The podcast ends with a story about flies in a bottle, illustrating the importance of breaking free from limiting beliefs. Hi ladies and gentlemen, how are you doing today? I hope you are fine. Happy New Week. My name is Bonet Nnediwe Nnediwe Nnediwe Nnediwe. I welcome you to today's podcast on OC Podcast. Today being the 14th day of October 2024. And today we'll be looking into the topic I thought, Reinvent Yourself. Reinvent Yourself. Just before I continue, I'm going to speak just on a short disclaimer. If you think that whatever I come here to do every Monday morning, you don't like it, it's what you know, or you think I'm making noise, you are right. What I actually urge you to do instead is probably you see the post, you skip it. Or, if you think there is anybody within your neighborhood, that might be your relatives, your siblings, anybody you want to see changes in his or her life, and you believe that the podcast or the things that I actually come here to say every Monday morning will also add to getting that at your life, then as well, of course, for the audio. These audios are being pre-recorded before being posted here. So all the audios you've been doing from last year till now, all of them are readily available. Reinvent Yourself. The English kind of seems a little bit unjoined when you want to mention an event. So whenever we have the two-letter word, R-E, we are talking about the other way of doing the same thing. For example, if you want to say invention, for example, and I say reinvention, meaning that probably something has been invented, and then you are reinventing it. It means that you are trying to either upgrade it, update it, or take it out from the state which it is and then put it in another state. It's talking about the displacement from what it used to be to what it is. It's talking about the process of taking things from either their traditional form or their oral form, or as the case may be, towards that form you actually want to end the speech. We are talking about modifying or fine-tuning things. You understand? Just like the idea says necessity is a model of invention. So in this sense, we are talking about making things to look more greater than the way it is. On today's podcast, reinvention, I'm not actually conceptualizing it through either non-living things or aesthetics. Reinvention I'm talking about is you, is myself, is human being. Reinvention. Some of us actually deal with some level of cross-constraints. Last week, we had quite a very long discussion due to our mega-training that was actually on true athlete last week. So while we were actually learning about one or two things, we were speaking on one or two things that actually affect us as human. I would like to say that nobody came into this life with a template. Whatever we do is actually as a result of what the environment has taught us and indoctrinated us into. Do you understand? Even as it concerns to our faith. Some of us are believers because our parents are believers. Some of us are believers because our friends are believers. Some of us are believers because one thing or the other. But there is something that has actually made you become who you are. You didn't just come into this life adopting those. You learnt it from people. You thought it was the right way to go. And then you do it. You even defend those things which you have actually been taught and indoctrinated to do. For example, ideally from your 1 year to your 12 or even to your 20 years, if you are born a Muslim, you will be a Muslim. Let's just be factual. If you are born a Christian, you will be a Christian. If you are born into Buddhism, you will be a Buddhist. If you are born into Judaism, you will be a Jew. Any form of religion that you are born into, at least from your 1 to 12 years, you will be in that religion. That is the environmental factor. There are psychological factors. Do you understand? That make us or changes us or actually informs what we do. There are some people that are holding on to information that are obsolete, information that have actually proven not to work, information that are actually endangering lives, information that we think that 90% of people that are doing it are not coming out alive, information that people that are doing it are ending up becoming a nuisance even when they grow old. And we are still holding on to those informations, thinking that it looks like other people are doing it. Why would my home be different? Until we grow to stand against generation or non-belief, or what they say is how they do it, and this is what people really do, and then, yes, yes, yes. When you live to actually do things, not based on because other people are doing it, but based on your own findings, or your own scrutiny, before doing that or before doing those things, that's when you start doing. What have you been constrained to? I have lots of constraints while I was growing up. I always make use to mention this because it is actually if you don't understand your problem, the most pernicious form of being in danger is not understanding that you are in danger. The most pernicious form of being in danger is not acknowledging or aware that you are in danger. That's the most difficult aspect of being in danger. That's ignorance. Ignorance. Ignorance. When you acknowledge that you are deficient in one thing, it will actually aid you to, I mean, ask questions of how do I regulate from this situation? How do I actually, I mean, do better things than them, do more than what I'm doing today, and then go against them, things that are actually going to be normal regulations, and so on and so forth. Those things will go with the regulations and actually institute it to regulate you. Multiple are born great, but actually live their life as spies because of generalization. For you to reinvent yourself, you must ask yourself the question, what are my deficiencies of? You must understand what you lack. You must understand what you don't have. You must understand where you are falling short of. It's this acknowledgement that brings about you reinventing yourself. Now, what should I reinvent myself on? People will ask. First of all, you need to understand your purpose in life. There are so many people that have jumped into service just because of pressures, either family pressures, peer pressures, or advocacy. Do you understand? There are so many people that have jumped into marriage because they thought that they might. It's the same thing with building a house. You go and take your business money and then build house, and then your business, you actually kind of funded the growth of your business. It's the same thing with other things. You know, yes, this is necessary, but you have not gone to the level of having to do this without mistaking you and you do it. Most people have been pressured to eat their seeds because they saw other people eating their fruits. And then, those mistakes have actually made some tables to, I mean, tap our growth and then discomfited to a certain level in life. Most of the great people who actually know today do something extraordinary. I believe that you can actually hear the story that Steve Jobs, the founder of Apple, was actually taken out from, was actually sacked from Apple because of one few things or the other, which might also be his fault. I believe that you also are aware that he made a comeback to the company and then become the company's hero until he died. Now, I want us to kind of read up a bad documentary on Steve Jobs for you to understand what he actually did to make him come back to Apple. We have actually seen some people that weren't so great when they were young, when they were in their adulthood, but during their old days, they became extraordinary. Somebody like Warren Buffet, KFC, and other notable individuals. Some of us have also gotten to understand that people, excuse me, even a publisher like that on women, we've actually gotten to see women rise up to prominence to do great things, to do wonderful things in every aspect or walks of life. See, if you don't reinvent yourself, you take everything to just be normal. No. No. You should be angry with yourself. First of all, it starts from you being hungry. Because a hungry man is an angry man. If you want to get angry, become hungry. See, let's see. I was discussing with our students last week. I told them that no matter whatever they see, that it tends to be, they tend to say, probably I want to, I want to get to this level in life. I still feel empty every fucking day. I still feel empty. And that's the hunger. Now, that hunger translates to anger because you know you're hungry and you're not getting food and you're still the way you are or you still feel comfortable. No. The natural course of being hungry is being angry. So when you get angry with the status quo, when you get angry with the generation, when you get angry with those norms, what can you do to change it? What you don't like, you change it. What you don't like, you change it. Make sure that you actually face your fears and then, I mean, challenge that norm. Challenge that norm belief. Challenge that status quo and then, make a change to those things that you don't like. There was a story, actually I was listening to Lucy Timberclaw's podcast called GP Podcast, I guess it matters on Spotify, and he says something, that some group of people carried out an experiment, a group of scientists carried out an experiment, they brought flies and then put them inside the boat to do this kind of flies. Up, down, up, down. I don't know whether it's actually a cricket or whatever, but it's actually a fly. So, when those flies, when they were actually actually being added into a bottle, they were going up, down, up, down and then, they caught it, they covered them, the bottle, and when the flies are going up, they hit their back at the cover, at the bottle cover. So when they hit themselves, they go down, they hit again, they go down, they hit again, scattering them. So, they actually managed to be going up and down without hitting that cover. Now, look at the experiment. They have to open the cover, and what they realized when they did that was that these flies now maintained that level that they have been flying up and down without hitting their back on the cover. And that is what most of us actually have been subjected to, which are environmental factors. The environment has actually told you, this is not achievable, you cannot do this, we don't do this, we don't become members of a family, Nigeria doesn't have the places where we live, you cannot practice this skill in Nigeria, Nigeria cannot give you this, all these things, all those, all those, it doesn't exist. Who can tell us that it doesn't exist? There is nothing that you want to do in life that you cannot do. In 1986, life savers the boat. You must be bold enough to challenge things that they said is not possible, you told them that is possible. They will see that is possible. They will see that it is possible. Life savers the boat. And for each of them, bring yourself in one of the boat. Because there are lots of stereotypes out there, there are lots of people who will talk down on what you want to do, there are even your friends who are going to lead you, there are people who are going to call you weird, there are people who will say that you are very very crazy, your ideas are crazy, all you want to do is crazy, you are burning yourself, you are wasting your time. Those people, have they achieved what you want to achieve? If the answer is no, that is not the circle where you want to belong to, that is not the circle where you need to be, even if it is your family, even if it is your anything, even if it is your church, you leave that place. Places that are supposed to camp your growth in life, you walk out from that place. Places that are supposed to camp your growth, you walk out from that place. And also you are going to have hitters, if you want to revenge yourself. You are going to lose friends, if you want to revenge yourself. You are going to lose customers and clients, if you want to revenge yourself. As you are losing those things, those are the things you need to lose for you to become the new you. And don't feel bad when this starts happening. Some people might tell you to be diabolical, to have to constrain your belief to actually be, if you go from day to day that I was where I was, practically you could have to, but if you want to revenge yourself, you have to actually, go against, some norms and some rules. See, you must be ready for any challenge. In business, we used to say, every customer is not your customer. When everybody is your customer, nobody is your customer. So everybody is not your customer. What that means is that, for example, when I started, I started as a facility electrician, we built it to become a brand, we set a standard, which is a premium standard, and the most clients have actually known me for years. Once they drag me down to doing those activities we were doing before, which I am saying no, and I'm losing them. That's an invention. Why should you go and cry and say my revenue dropped? It's supposed to drop because you are inventing yourself. For any choice you make in life, there is an opportunity for God. There must be something you must lose. For any choice you make in life, there is an opportunity for God. There must be something you must lose at the end of the day. And you must act, you must invent yourself. So that all these mushroom ministers will now come and tell you that your uncle from the village is your colleague and he wants to kill you. If I am the administrator for all these prophecy, I mean, what I call it, dragons, prophecy dragons, they will tell you, yes, you are not supposed to travel. You travel to your... You just have to find a way to tell you that it's somebody that's in that accident for you. Well, I never informed anybody that I'm traveling. Anything can happen at any fucking time. So you must, when you want to invent yourself, you must close your ears. You can wash your ears and speak up when you are not taking something serious. You must be ready for the worst. You must be ready to go down, go down. Most people want to jump over, they don't want to squat. Before you jump over, you must squat a bit, you jump over. You squat before you jump. Most people that do high jumps, you see, from a distance verified, they will run. Run very speed, free. Once they reach to where they will jump that pole, you will notice a millisecond pause. You must notice a millisecond pause. You don't want to pause, but you want to grow. You don't want to stop. You don't want to go down, but you want to become the next big thing in your industry. Once you reinvent yourself, there must be profit. There must be something to lose. You need to search, you need stars. There are so many stars that in your vision, they cannot contain it. Our mantra in our journey is either you born well or you born out. But you must be burning like a charcoal. So people in OGM are people that are on fire. It's either you born well or you born out. You have to leave us, return to ISIS and leave us. And we just serve our people because of this particular mantra. And people who are currently in OGM are people who have actually, I mean, conceived the vision and everything to run with it. Just as you pray for the dead. It's just the worst when you want to reinvent yourself. But this is the advantage. When you reinvent yourself, you achieve whatever that has actually been your endless purpose in life. Everything you've done during this age, you see them come to pass. You see people coming from all walks of life to come and see you. You see people coming from all places to come and celebrate with you. When you reinvent yourself, the other side of those things you fear are those things you actually need. They are those things you actually have been praying God for. It's actually those things that you wanted to see come to pass in your life. There are people that are waiting for that glory time and for you to actually achieve that glory, you must be in the story. Not just a name in the story, you must be a character. And being a character, you must play a role in that story for you to actually achieve that glory. It's not going to come to you on a platter. If you have actually questioned it, you raise up your hand in any places or even bow down if you're a monk or a judge, you raise up your hand, you close your eyes and you say, you affirm, this is affirmations. And then you think after affirmations, if you come to pass, you can never start doing anything without having to go through the rigorous process. They are deceiving you. And you must be wise to understand that life doesn't work the way it works in your head. Yes, there must be something to do at the end of the day. When they say children of the Israelites have accumulated children of the AI or the people of the AI, it goes to the point that the Israelites who were going over these people in the city, they actually went and brought this person to God and they battled genocide and God started fighting against the Israelites. I don't know whether you've read that passage in the Bible. That means if you want things to change, you must make bold decisions. Things will change. That is why I said that nonsense doesn't exist. It is not being done easily. Usually, all those things are fallacies. It doesn't exist. If they had told the children of the Israelites that God had sent them to battle and fight against them, they would have believed it. But it happened. It happened. It happened. While a man has already understood that if I want to change the status quo, there is something I have to lose to actually gain that favor. In the context I'm actually portraying, it is not for you to go and kill somebody. It would be time if I mentioned that with my mouth. I just gave the illustration according to what was ascertained in the holy books. But what that means then, what we can actually gain from that passage of the Bible is that you must lose something that is very, very dear to you, very painful to you. Meaning, in my own aspect, I'm losing my youthful life. And it's very dear to me. I barely sleep for four hours every day. I continue exploring and developing things. That's what you need to lose. You're only losing... I lost my relationship as well. There are so many things you start to lose. And if you're not yet ready to lose those things, you're not yet ready to reinvent yourself. What am I highlighting this? Let me know in the comments how you're inventing yourself. You think that it's just something that is just like a script and it will just come to pass in your life. No. You must be ready for change. And to be ready for change, you must be ready to ask yourself, for me to get this change, what do I want to do? I don't know who this message is speaking to. I don't know who this podcast is meant for. I am actually being supported in my spirit to voice whatever I voice out. I say this objectively wherever I say it. If I mention a church, if I mention mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention a mosque, if I mention
