The Performance Health Podcast discusses fitness testing and the capacity of different energy systems. They explore research articles on the anaerobic and aerobic systems, and how understanding these systems can help with prescription and training. Eric Schmidt provides detailed insights on fitness testing and capacity assessment. The podcast also mentions the PH curriculum, which offers comprehensive modules on coaching, nutrition, movement, and training. It provides access to web shows, transcripts, articles, and additional resources. The episode is dense and requires taking notes. What is good everybody? My name is Tim Caron and this is the Performance Health Podcast. Today we're gonna be talking about fitness testing. We're gonna dive into what we know myself and Corey Hobbs going through more of the practical but we dive into a couple different research articles looking at capacity of the anaerobic system based off what the aerobic system can do or sometimes referred to as the phosphagen or oxidative systems. Then we talked about what we can do with Eric Schmidt and Eric just did a really amazing job of diving into one fitness testing and how can we use this capacity based model to understand the limits in other energy systems as well to what we need to do from a prescription standpoint based off of what your capacity assessment tells us. So Eric absolutely blew me away with the level of detail and the depth in which he went. This is a gonna be a really dense episode. Hope you guys are strapped in ready to go. If you guys are not a member of the PH curriculum head over to phpodcast.com sign up for a membership to get you access to the entire curriculum 50 modules broken up into coaching, nutrition, movement and training and then it gets you application which goes through all the web shows.
