Involment and Communication

The school is organizing events to encourage family involvement and communication. This year, they are including academic-based nights along with the fun events. Kindergarten teachers will be communicating with families more often through newsletters, class dojo stories, and positive phone calls to build trust and relationships. To promote family involvement and home-to-school communication, we have planned many events for this school year. In the past, our school stuck to the fun, non-academic-based events, but this year we are inviting more families to become active participants in their child's learning by incorporating several academic-based nights as well. Kindergarten teachers specifically have committed to communicating more frequently with families this school year, with weekly newsletters and class dojo stories and monthly positive phone calls, in an effort to increase trust and build relationships with our families.
