Global competency education is important for preparing students to communicate across cultures and tackle global challenges. The Global Cities Framework helps educators define, teach, and measure global competency. It focuses on four student learning outcomes: appreciation for diversity, cultural understanding, global knowledge, and global engagement. There are also 55 indicators that track students' progress in developing these skills. Every day, teachers guide students to think critically, ask questions, and exchange perspectives. Global competency education prepares students to leverage these skills to communicate across cultures and address complex global challenges.
