The speaker, Rylee Moulton, is a sophomore at DePaul University and is excited about doing mini-podcasts for experience. In this podcast, she discusses her project outline which helped her stay organized while recording. The outline includes a mini-script, talking about herself and her love for concerts and live music, adding music to the podcast, being the only host, and dividing the podcast into segments. Rylee went slightly off-script but was happy with how she stuck to the mini-script. She believes her topic was interesting and engaging and overall, the self-portrait recording went well. Rylee enjoyed her personal strategy for outlining and thanks the listeners, promising to talk about more fun stuff in the next podcast. So if you didn't know me already, my name is Rylee Moulton, and I'm a sophomore at DePaul University. And this is going to be my third mini-podcast. You know, I really have enjoyed doing these. I feel like it's going to get us a lot of experience with podcasting, so I'm excited that we keep doing them. And this week, I'm going to talk about my project outline. So also, I do just want to throw this out here, I am a little bit sick, so if my voice is a little raspy or anything like that, my deepest apologies, and I'm sorry y'all have to listen to me like this, but anywho. So my project outline, it was only a few bullet points, you know, five to be exact, but they were a huge help with recording and helped me stay organized. You know, I love staying organized, so this was an amazing thing for me. So my outline went as follows. I'm definitely going to write out a mini-script, I think this is the one where I'm going to want to know what to say instead of just jumping into it. I'd like to open it with talking about myself in terms of physical, as this is technically a self-portrait, and I think that's what everyone first thinks of when they think of self-portraits. I would like to talk about my love of concerts and live music and how this has impacted me, my relationships, and overall, my life. I'm not sure what type of music I would like to add to the pack if I decided to add music, and I will be the only host, and then my podcast will be in segments and not one big take. So again, very bare minimum, like, straight to the point. So obviously, I will say, I went off a bit script, but that was just bound to happen, as you know we're all not perfect people. However, I definitely stuck to my mini-script that I mentioned, which I was very happy that I did so. I did open it with talking about myself, you know, I did put a little bit of personal information in there, and just for personal criticism, I don't know how much it really blended in with going into concerts, but you know, nonetheless, we move on, it is over, it's okay. I believe my topic was interesting and engaging, and hey, I hope I proved that I could talk about this topic for hours, because trust me, I can, and I really hope that it proved to be interesting. And you know, overall, the self-portrait recording, I think it went well. I believe I was able to do what I needed to do, and cover what needed to be covered, and you know, outlines can be difficult, and kind of different for everyone, but I enjoyed my personal strategy for going about mine, and for that, thank you so much for listening, and see you all next time, which we're probably going to talk about some more fun stuff. So great, thank you guys, bye.
