The speaker discusses the HRS-HCM position control crosswalk, which shows the relationship between different terminology and data in HRS and HCM systems. They highlight the change in terminology and explain how to use the HRS position number to find corresponding HCM data such as position number, title, title code, subtitle code, and employment status. They provide an example using their own position ID and show how to locate the new HCM data. They encourage the audience to repeat these steps for other employees. Hi everyone, today we'll be going over the HRS-HCM position control crosswalk. Here I've provided a brief overview of the terminology crosswalk between HRS and HCM. As you can see, I've highlighted in red the change most relevant to today's video. The job class, as it is known in HRS, will be referred to as the title in BEST-HCM. In today's example, we'll go over how to use the HRS position number to find relevant HCM data. With the HRS position number, you'll be able to find the HCM position number, the title, title code, subtitle code, and employment status. Here's an example of our current HRS-HCM crosswalk. For today's example, I will be using my own position ID. In column J, I'm going to go ahead and enter my current HRS position number. Once filtered, you'll see in column C that my new title code is LAC-766. You'll see in column D that my new subtitle code is 22. In column E, you'll see that my title is Budget Analyst. In column G, you'll see that my employment status is A for active. And finally, in column I, you'll see my new HCM position number. You can now repeat these steps to look up any other employee's new HCM data.
